A small hotel that provided me and our group with the very personal service that we wanted. The hotel provided free wifi internet connection, and this was invaluable. An ATM is located next door, but as for other amenities, you will need to walk for them. The best part is the outdoor seating area in front and to the side...

We had mixed feelings about this hotel but it was such a good value we gave it a very good rating. The price was very reasonable for what you get. First the good: Free wifi in each room Big rooms with large, western style beds Clean bathrooms, with bathrobes and slippers Ample closet space and a decent Mini bar Breakfast...

I too am a year behind in writing a review but better late than never they say! We had stayed at the De Syloia 3 years ago and on our return visit last February looked forward to a return visit. We had arranged airport transfers through the hotel prior to both trips and their driver was there waiting for us...

This is very late since it was a year ago that we stayed here, but I've used the reviews of others so often that I wanted to add one. The De Syloia was terrific for us. We left twice to go to Halong Bay and then to Sapa, and both times our luggage was safely stored and our room ready...

The hotel was recommended to me, and I wasn't disapointed! The staff are friendly and helpful, even though their English isn't brilliant and it sometimes took a couple of tries to get across what I meant ... just as much my problem as theirs! They were always really helpful when I did manage to explain it clearly. The room is...

The DeSyloia charges about $100++, which sounds high, but Hanoi hotel prices have skyrocketed in the past year. This is a great choice if you don't want a big 5-star hotel at double the price or more, but want something better than a dingy backpacker hotel. DeSyloia has only 33 rooms, very large modern bathrooms, staff members are friendly, and...

I arranged for an airport pickup ($25 one-way) but when we saw no one holding a placard with our names on it, we decided to take an airport taxi ($20 OW). We thought it was expensive until we realized how far the airport was from the city (about 45 minutes away). We arrived at the hotel at about 2 am...

We actually booked 3 nights in De Syloia, in between we will leave for Halong Bay and Sapa. After the 1st night though, we decided that the hotel is not wroth its price! We paid $110 USD for it, and that is considerably pricey. We arrived from HCM at abt tenish at night. To begin with, the hotel switched off...

De Syloia Hotel is a decent 3.5 star hotel. It is NOWHERE near a 5 star hotel they like to bill themselves as, but it’s clean and the rooms are quiet (double glazing). I got upgraded to an executive room which was spacious. It’s really like an older Holiday Inn. I had just stayed at the Somerset in Bangkok for...
