We stayed here as part of a month long trip to Vietnam and China. I will start with the positives but there are some very serious negatives to this hotel and their awful practices which have now placed me in serious difficulty while travelling onwards in China. This is a beautiful hotel with fantastic waiting staff. So much so that...

The stay here was the best of our whole month Indochina excursion. The French Colonial, the service, the room, everything. If you are trying to rebuild your romance, this is the place to go to. Situated near a beautiful lake and the Hanoi opera house, it also serves the setting and background to young soon to be married couples being...

Well located in a delightful areas for walking and exploration. Superb service. Stayed in the "new" wing which was truly elegant - but explored the older area as well. It is just a class place to be. In house services are excellent as well

The hotel is in a perfect location for all sightseeing. The hotel is 100 years old and a legend. Make sure you ask for a room in the historical part of the building: less crowded and rooms are beautiful. If you have an Accor Platinum card go to the lounge: great food and drinks late afternoon. At the bar of...

This hotel is a good respite from the bustle of Hanoi streets. The hotel had interesting information about its past and the ground floor was a very noisy and busy hub. The bedroom was pleasant in an old-fashioned way, although the lighting could be improved. The staff were helpful and pleasant.

This hotel is very impressive, I think easily the nicest in Hanoi. The style, elegance and taste level is unsurpassed. We also fell in love with the Hermes bath amenities. Like seriously we are still talking about them. But there are a few things I think we can work on. We sent a private review directly to the hotel and...

My partner and I just retuned from Hanoi and fell in love with the Sofitel Metropole Legend Hotel. I am rather acute to details and am hard to impress. I have to tell you that this hotel really was an unexpected treat and left me speechless. We booked the Opera Wing, Grand Premium Room with Club Metropole Benefits. We were...

You could almost be in Paris in this delightful hotel. Beautiful room with a big bathtub and fantastic service! The ambiance was relaxing but professional. We are in both the French and Vietnamese style restaurants and both were phenomenal by international standards.

Beautiful room, large king, desk, mini bar, in room water heater for coffee. Wood floors in the bedroom, marble in the bath. Comfy bed linens and pillow - a really good nights sleep. Extra deep bath tub might be hard for older guests or those with hip knee problems. Good shower pressure. Amazing breakfast with Vietnamese specialties and dim sum...
