I stayed at this hotel and booked a Sapa trip through them. First off the hotel had lizzards on the walls of my room and I found a rat in my room when I arrived back in the hotel. To make matters worse, I booked a tour of Sapa through the hotel and was completely ripped off. The hotel arranged...

Eventhough we did not stay at this hotel, we came to Hanoi on 5thJan2012 (Sat) early in the morning. After checking in our own hotel, we went out to have a look around, and we realised that this hotel does provide airport taxi service. So, we went in and paid US$11+ 10%tax for a taxi, as we would have to...

At $15 a night this place seemed okay. The staff we not particularly friendly at check in but that seemed okay. In the morning however, I was ready to go out at 8am. For a solo traveller needing somewhere downtown without any frills, Hang Ba Hotel was very good, although the mattress was too hard for my liking. Mr Tuan, the owner, has plans to gradually introduce softer mattresses. No breakfast here, but the options around the area are many. Single room is very small, but this means the air con cools it...

On April 21, 2012 I arrived at Hang Be Hotel, I had made a 2 night pre-paid reservation with a very reputable on-line hotel booking site; unfortunately, upon arrival I was told by the owner he did NOT receive payment made on my behalf ~ I should have heard scam bells ring at this point but as I was not...

Travelling as a couple we spent 3 nights here in mid november and paid $13pn for a double en suite with air con, wifi and tv. It is a little gem in the middle of the old city and we were so happy to find it after spending one night in dorm at Hanoi Backpackers (unless it's your thing really...
