The staff is very friendly, helpful and speak good English. We arrived in the morning and my girlfriend was sick, so we had the room immediately, and they offered her a cup of tea for free, and offered her some medicine. We had problems with our flight, so the staff lend us the phone to fix up the problem. So,...

I stayed here after stub,Inc across it and was offered a rate of $20'per night. The room is a good size and clean so I thought it was good value for money. The only problem is that the air didn't work so dispute calling every half hour and being given the complete run around by the reception staff, I think...

we found this place by chance and stayed there our last night before heading home, wish we found it earlier,. The guy gave us a rate of $35 for the night including breakfast, a balcony at top floor with view of cathedral. it was perfect. . it is in a great little hustling spot of Hanoi - mind you what...

It took us some time to find the correct page to post a review. Seems like the hotel has some identity issues with two names posted on the facad - Hanoi Gecko / Sans souci II. However it seems that this place is connected to neither of the Gecko hotels nor Sans Souci hotels. We initially booked Real Vietnam hotel...

The photos on the website are not what you get. We booked some months ago a luxury room for 5 nights (40$) and we got a simple room, Tourists which just walked in got the luxury room for one night for 27$. After many discussions, it took 2 days , they agreed a price of 35$, still far too much....

I agree with the last reviewer who was as baffled as I was in comparing the reviews posted here with the hotel I stayed in. The Sans Souci/Gecko -- not sure which one is the correct name -- does NOT deserve anywhere close to these ratings. I've never been let down by TripAdvisor ratings before so something fishy is clearly...

I am completely baffled how this hotel is #3 B&B in Hanoi. I'm still trying to figure out if my husband and I stayed at the same hotel that everyone here reviewed as excellent and great. First, you must know that this hotel is NOT called Hans Souci II hotel. It's actually called Gecko Hotel. Despite the website and the...

I spend a really nice time in this Hostel. The location is really good, close to the Hanoi Lack but in a really calm street which is important in Hanoi because it is really noisy city. The room are big and really clean. The water in the bathroom is hot which is not an evidence in Vietnam. The staff is...

We enjoyed our stay, but I cant say that I was blown away as some of the reviews I have read here. Perhaps it was because they switched us to a double bed intstead of a twin ( I had to share a bed with my cousin) or the fact that they will help with anything because they get paid...

A lovely display of Hanoi all within this little hotel! Amazing staff! They were able to arrange flights for us last minute and offer helpful information about Vienam. Extremely gracious and helpful!! Finding places like this allows the weary traveler to recharge!
