This is a very central hotel in the middle of the old quarter in Hanoi. It is not for those who want peaceful time. It is totally in the hub of real life in Hanoi. The owner and his wife were very helpful and friendly. They gave us tips and directions to all the main sights. We hit Hanoi at...

Comfortable room, delicious breakfast, and helpful staff who make sure you don't pay more for extras such laundry and taxi fares. We were here during the TET holiday season which was quiet except for the noisy backpackers hostel nearby. Being on the edge of the Old Quarter, it is a bit of a walk to the southern part of the...

Great little hotel with really helpful owners. They couldn't do enough for us. They recommended the best local street food, restaurants, must see places in the city and a great little cafe for egg coffee (a must try when visiting Hanoi). We booked our tour for Halong Bay through them and they recommended a safe overnight boat cruise which was...

Had a great time at Finnegans hotel. We didn't have much planned for our stay in Hanoi, however we knew we wanted to visit Halong Bay and Sapa from there. The hotel owners were so great in helping us organise these trips and making sure we'd would fit all that we wanted to do in to our plans. The breakfasts...

What can I say? I'm just going to agree with all the reviews below and give 5/5 for our stay. We had a delayed flight, and the Finnegans staff were happy to stay up and wait for us to arrive (2am!). Our room was the perfect size, clean and decorated beautifully with love heart rose petals on our bed for...

We had a room at the back of the hotel. The room booked said really quite and relaxing, they don't say that you can't have the window open as there is a shaft between the hotel and others resulting in the backpackers hotel transferring noise right up into our room. After checking in when the owner realised we had done...

I stayed at a second floor room which is quite specious and comfortable for my friend and me. The hotel owner is very friendly. Even though our limited time (only one night and one morning) in Hanoi, we easily found the must-try and enjoyed the food because of the hotel owner's recommendation. The most satisfied is the breakfast. You can...

The couple that own the hotel treated us absolutely brilliant, we took the option of them organising a taxi from the airport for us and they met us off the taxi, brought our bags to the room for us and went away over and beyond their duties for us. They showed us where to go around Hanoi for shopping, eating...

We stayed here at the start of our trip through South East Asia. The staff were fantastic, the rooms were very comfortable, everything you would hope would work (air-con, wifi, etc) worked flawlessly. The breakfast was delicious (i had the chicken noodle soup each day - and it was the best i had anywhere on the trip). Basically when i...

We had a great time at Finnegans Hotel. The room was clean, the breakfast was selfmade with lots of love and the owner and staff were so friendly. We booked a 2 days tour to Halong Bay and this was also very good organized. We highly recommend this hotel. Thanks a lot for the great time. Anja & Kia

Coming to my hotel, you will be pleased with the cozy and friendly atmosphere created through “like-brother-and-sister” staff; however, professional serving style is definitely maintained. It is proved through ten-year experience in hotel service. Despite lacking of five-star facilities, I always remind myself of putting my heart, soul and great effort to give the most memorable experience for you, even more than five- star service. Being one of my friends, you will be warmly welcomed through my hospitability, trustworthy and caring with all my heart. If Hanoi is your most preferable choice for your trip, Finnegans hotel is your perfect and unforgettable destination for relaxing. ... more   less
