2023 Travellers' Choice Best of the Best
Solaria Hotel Hanoi is composed of 60 rooms on 9 levels including Family and Connecting rooms which are perfect for individual clients or families. All of our rooms offer the same services, their differences lie in their size and some extra facilities. As a rather unique characteristic, there are rooms have balconies or spacious living area. A breath of fresh air in the heart of Hanoi Old quarter! Inspired by Vietnamese traditional material, combination of grey and beautified by black, Solaria Hotel Hanoi welcomes its guests in a refined and intimate atmosphere. In each room, traditional material is staged in different shades and subtly punctuated with touches of the grey, the yellow from soil and the black of furniture which we meet in a table, a stunning bathroom… around four atmospheres while offering the conveniences of today"

Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This is a fantastic hotel in a brilliant location to explore. The staff were attentive and helpful. The room was a bit on the small side but it was a great base to explore. We had to move rooms from the 8th floor (near the lift to the sky bar) as it was constantly noisy. We had a terrible sleep on the first night due to this. I strongly advise people not to accept a room on this floor. Once moved, our room was a lot more peaceful.

Fabulous little hotel in a great location just around the corner from the cathedral. Lovely, clean room, great breakfast, amaaazing massages. But the absolute best thing about this hotel are the Solaria team - so friendly and hospitable - they can’t do enough for you. Thank you so much for being so welcoming. We will be back.

A beautiful hotel made very special by the courtesy and helpfulness of the staff. It was the staff who made this is very memorable holiday, starting from breakfast in the morning to Mia restaurant in the evening. A Day tour was organised to the countryside for us, exactly what we wanted, and even the little gift we got when leaving the hotel, was so thoughtful. The hotel is close to the lake, which we strolled around most evenings.

Absolutely lovely hotel - the staff were amazing, super friendly and helpful, the location is slap bang in the middle of all the action to be had in Hanoi, and the beds were very comfy! We had an interconnecting room which worked very well with our 12 year old son. Do just bear in mind that the rooms themselves aren't quite as enormous as elsewhere in Vietnam - space is at a premium in Hanoi!

Great stay at the Solaria for a few nights exploring Hanoi. Amazing service in particular from Hannah, who checked us into the hotel. All reception staff were friendly and welcoming. Would suggest trying to avoid floor 8, as the lift doesn’t go any higher than this floor, so even though the live music ended at a reasonable 11pm, those then leaving the bar were incredibly loud waiting for the lift. We moved to floor 4 after a bad sleep the first night, and had a much better stay after the move. Amazing location to explore the city, and the map and advice that the hotel provided us with were really helpful. Breakfast was delicious, both the buffet and the a la carte options. The French toast in particular was really tasty. The view from the rooftop bar was breathtaking. I would say that the bar staff weren’t as attentive as we’d have expected. Would definitely stay again.

Fantastic hotel with exceptionally attentive staff but not in your face. Attention to details from them also very good. Upon arrival, sat us down with drinks and cakes and fresh towels to clean our hands, this is very Asian and is good. Location really good with some good eating place immediately round the corner. Joining room 601 and 602 very convenient. Breakfast was perfect, a little of everything to try. From full English to traditional pho, even sushi and lots of fresh fruit. Staff just could not be better. We told them about an early day trip to Cat Ba island, we could get a take away box for breakfast and they also prepared some boxes of fresh fruits for our journey. Yes the streets are noisy, but it’s Hanoi, it is intense, you get used to it.

We stayed at four well-rated hotels in Hanoi and Solaria was our favorite! The staff were so friendly and accommodating, going out of their way to make the stay comfortable. The room was absolutely beautiful and had all the amenities we could ask for. The location could not be better. Very close to Hoan Kiem Lake and many local attractions and restaurants. Highly recommend this hotel.

We stayed for two nights with our family of 4. We booked the two bedroom interconnecting room. The check in process was amazing with very attentive and informative staff (along with cake which my kids liked). The room isn’t what I consider an interconnecting room as it’s two rooms that are side-by-side but the hotel has built a doorway further out and put a door with a flimsy lock. The rooms are really quite nice and the shower was amazing. The location of the hotel is perfect for all sightseeing in the Old Quarter. The road outside is even blocked off by police and the road is a walking street on the weekends. We loved it and it made it an awesome atmosphere for our family to explore just outside the door of the hotel. One tip is to pack earplugs! The music on the top floor is so loud on Saturday evenings that I could hear it through my earplugs and pillow that was over my head. The service and location of this hotel makes it amazing.

We enjoyed a great one-night stay at Solaria Hotel. Staff were really accommodating, storing our bags when we arrived before check-in. Family room was clean and comfortable. The complimentary breakfast was amazing! After we arrived back to the hotel after a night in Halong Bay, staff were so kind and helpful. They stored our bags again and arranged a taxi to the train station that evening. They even made us each a packed dinner to take with us on the sleeper train! If we return to Hanoi, we wouldn’t hesitate to stay at Solaria Hotel again.

Great location near the lake. Honestly, best part of this stay was the friendly staff - so helpful and willing to accomodate. Rooms were great, breakfast has such a great variety and was wonderful! We only spent a bit of time on the rooftop due to rain but it would have been a wonderful place to hang out!
