There are many reasons to visit this unique place; the architecture, great staff, good food, fantastic rooms (the beds aren't that hard), tremendous activities. Are there any downsides? None that are significant, but although the grounds of the home stay are fantastic it's not quite the completely peaceful idyll that some claim. There is a road across the rice field...

Dear guests, Thank you very much for your kind words. It is regrettable because of the noise caused by the wedding in the village. Once again, thank you so much for choosing our Moon Garden Homestay! We are looking forward to welcoming you next time. Kind regards,

The place is located very far from hanoi, about 60km to and from airport, made it so costly for us to charter private car (roundtrip usd 100), took about 1.5 hrs, quite deep inside a small village. But its one of its kind, the place is very serene with nature all around, fresh air, cooling abt 14 degree at night...

A nice quiet place 1.5 hour from Hanoi, not a must but very relaxing if you have the time. Be aware that this is Vietnamse counrty side so you are not in the middle of nowhere! Vietnam is densely populated so even the country side is busy. The homestay is a misnoma as you are not staying with a vietnamese...

After an 11 hour flight from Heathrow to Hanoi it was a relief to check in to the peace and tranquility of Moon Garden. Even though it rained a lot we got out and about in the countryside around the homestay - which is about one-and-a-half hours from Hanoi Airport. Our guide, Taon, gave us a real insight into life...

Total relaxation venue. Beautiful gardens, exquisitely decorated spacious rooms, lovely food, relaxing massages, foot baths and steam baths. Moon garden provides it all. The place imbues a Buddhist inspired atmosphere with all gardens, room decor, internal figurines and outside statues symbolising a place of peacefulness and harmony. Sited in a most beautiful little village (Ky Son) we were welcomed into...

My 16 year old daughter and I had the most wonderful stay. We had a beautiful room, with beautiful surroundings. The food was fantastic - we helped make spring rolls; hand massage was lovely and after dinner we were given a large bucket of warm water and herbs to soak our tired feet in and to help us sleep. We...

Having home stay in the name is a bit of a misnomer - this is more of a boutique resort (max 25 pax) where you are treated like royalty. We stayed for two nights on the recommendation of our Vietnamese travel agent and where a bit unsure of what to expect. From the moment that we arrived we were made...

We had a fantastic stay at Moon Garden. The grounds and buildings are immaculately kept and make for a very restful atmosphere. We were travelling with our 11 month old and the staff couldn’t have been more accommodating. They would take him for a walk around the garden during meal times and provided us with a bicycle with child seat...

Thoroughly enjoyable. Friendly, welcoming and easy going. Food is superb and hospitality second to none. We had the place to ourselves so was extra special. Pure tranquility and a gentle pace to the day with a focus on comfortable exclusivity. Definitely recommended for those looking for a break from the city.
