Booked this hotel for 2 nights, the price is very good for a cost conscious traveller, however it wasn't what we were looking for. The rooms smell seedy and feel a bit seedy, the bathrooms definitely need an update. Again for the price it is not bad but for the sake of a few extra dollars you can definitely find those extra luxuries.

We got what we paid for. The location is amazing. Room a little run down but not dirty which was good. We stayed in a suite. The tiles need some new grout and the shower is a bit run down. We only had hot water, no cold, so showering was fun. But all in all it is fine. Would not return. Staff were really helpful!

Location is great with walking distance within Old Quater. Within walking distance to Sapa Express station (Easy travel to/back Sapa). Room is clean. Shower water running in few minutes in order to make it hot (room 508) Bathroom facilities are not in good condition. Room for improvement in English for most of staffs at reception areas. Breakfast is bad.

If you can get for $25 it might be ok for the price-It is pretty run down. When I stayed the had an electrical problem maybe even a small fire it was unclear. I stayed in two other places and $40 took you to much better accommodations- nice staff good location.

Me and my husband stayed here for two nights as part of our Vietnam tour and you are right in the heart of the hustle and bustle of the old quarter. Situated a couple of streets away from one of the city lakes and a good choice of restaurants and street food nearby. The walk to the French quarter isn't far either. The hotel has a small but quaint sky bar/restaurant which gives good views. We only had breakfast but couldn't fault the choice we had. The staff will go above and beyond to help you and speak very good English. Loved our stay.

If you've read any of my other reviews, you will know I'm a simple person that doesn't need a lot of extras. Why stay in a fancy hotel abroad when the purpose is to immerse and explore? I've stayed at the RV many times. Not every room has windows...so what? Every room DOES have cold air, a mini bar, fridge, coffee/tea....flatscreen with movie channels....and they serve a fantastic local buffet breakfast. Eggs made to order. Wanna waste money and stay somewhere fancy? Go for it. It pays to stay loyal to an establishment. They hold your luggage, let you check out early and late and offer a low cost shuttle ride to and from Noi Bai. They book tours, taxis...anything a new traveler could need...around 35/40 night. Perfect location to all things great in Old Town Hanoi.

We booked the room for 4pax but only stay 3 pax. Room size ok but no window and there air condition not cold and water heater not working. We reported to reception but nothing was done throughout out 4 nights stay. Price and location were really the plus point. For the price we paid, we has nothing much to complain. Overall we like the location, within the old town, near lake, near water puppet theatre near night market and plenty of shops. The staff are super friendly and helpful.

We stayed in this hotel for 2 nights on our way travelling through Hanoi on our way to Cat Ba island and back again to Danang. Overall the hotel was fine. The location is heat and the staff were extremely helpful and cheery. They even lent us their copy of the Vietnam lonely Planet for our trip to Cat Ba as we'd lost ours. The room was comfortable but budget. More importantly it was clean. My biggest gripe was the lack of an external window. There was an internal light well that let in no light and facilitated no air movement. It did however transmit noise within the hotel very efficiently. Overall a good place for budget conscious travellers who only intend sleep in their .

Took a bet by booking this place without checking reviews or map. Decent property, located bang in the heart of the city. Close to major tourist attractions and eating joints. Lots of street shopping around. The room i booked was decent but had no windows, which can get suffocating if you spend more time in the room. Also a below par breakfast with not too many options unless you like same food everyday. Friendly staff who helped with whatever things we asked. Clean property. Ideal for tourists and budget travellers.
