The Nguyens are a lovely family and Xian is a very nice woman. She helped us with everything we needed, from where to eat to booking our Halong Bay cruise. The price was fair and the room had everything we needed. A very very soft landing in Hanoi.

Stayed on this guesthouse for three nights, since it was recommended from lonely planet for just 10$ per night. Some confusion in the beginning where nobody was home to let us in, but worked out in a few hours. The room was really small and seemed unfinished somehow, and the toilet had an awful smell from the drain. It was... More

We stayed in the guesthouse for 7 days total while in the north of Vietnam. We found the guesthouse quiet (as can be in the chaos of the Old Quarter), the staff helpful and the rooms clean. The rooms are basic but good value for the money. Location is nice and central and close to good local restaurants.

Was a really nice and cheap place to stay in but the best part was the nice people we met there that always wanted to help. Also speak good English. Very reconended! Great location in the old city. So go for it.

I stayed here for a week or so, which I think is probably somewhat unusual. When I arrived, both sisters were friendly and helpful. I was showed two rooms, a larger double room with two beds and a shared balcony (which she knocked a dollar off as I was a solo traveler), and then a room at the very top... More

The staff was helpful and nice. However, for the low price, you can expect that the building is quite run-down. The first night, I was placed in the single room on the 5th floor. It was freezing and it smelled terribly. The sink was broken. The woman at the front desk was nice enough to move me to a different... More

I went to Hanoi without any prior bookings. Taxi driver suggested Thu Giang and I was set. Was greeted with tea and I sat down with the host to talk about the different tours available. She gave a few options with different price ranges and all was booked. Lovely lady. Very good English. Free wifi always a plus. And she... More

We stayed at the hostel twice, once at the beginning of our trip and once at our last night in Hanoi. The room is simple, clean, and not expensive, at the hart of Hanoi city. The owner is amazing, she has excellent English, and she is a very nice person. We booked the Halong bay tour through her and a... More

The taxi driver dropped me off at the wrong guesthouse (they have two) so perhaps this was the fault of the hotel staff, I'm not too sure...! Either way, they coped very well and I was walked round the corner to the other site, a good service in that sense! The room is clean, basic, but does contain a fridge... More

My wife and I stayed in this hotel twice for several nights each. The hotel itself is very basic but comfortable and clean. The AC was cold and the fan kept the room very comfortable. Our double room ($15 with AC) had a double bed, a twin bed and a futon. The bathroom was clean and the hot water was... More
