Great hotel in the old area. Express check in with welcome room upgrade (executive). The room assigned to us on the 10th floor, the top, accessible only by one of the two elevators (also used by the service staff) and this sometimes involved long waits.
Good breakfast, with preparation of express eggs. Too bad for special requests (espresso, cappuccino, tea in the teapot etc etc.) not included but required with extra.
Excellent room, with every necessary, present in the bathroom both shower and bathtub. Television not working well but maybe it's me who didn't know how to use it and anyway I didn't need it. Fast and efficient laundry service. Great location to reach all the main attractions of the city. Too bad it doesn't have a rooftop. If in Hanoi we will return!

The hotel was very welcoming, with staff to answer questions and help with anything you need, all throughout the hotel. The breakfast buffet was delicious, the Hanoi Egg Coffee was so creamy! The rooms were very clean, and the beds were very comfortable. It’s situated in a location where everything is within walking distance, which meant saving money on taxis! Would recommend.

Excellent hotel in a strategic position.
In 10 minutes you arrive at the lake and you can visit the city
Modern and comfortable hotel.
Large and well furnished rooms. Excellent level of cleanliness.
Breakfast is more centered on savory foods, but there is still a good choice of sweet dishes.

If you're used to luxury hotels, Silk Path Hanoi might not be quite what you're used to. It's a lovely hotel, and the location is fantastic. However it doesn't have the facilities one usually associates with a 5 star hotel - which is obviously due to the lack of space in the area. In Hanoi, real estate is at a premium so even the luxury hotels are squeezed into small buildings.
If you're anything like me, it might also take you a while to work out the hot water system. Thankfully they do provide you with an instruction manual!
The gym and spa opening hours are a bit odd, so I didn't get a chance to use them. But the location is great for exploring Hanoi - you're right on the doorstep of Train Street and all the exciting sights and sounds of the city.
Plus the staff are wonderful and always happy to help!

We are an American couple with a tour group called Exoticca ( worst tour group ever !) and they picked this hotel

Location : in heart of Hanoi old quarters
Near train tracks , plenty of restaurants and shops around

Staff: overwhelmingly over staffed - they meant well but it was just too much ! They speak English well - concierge Vu was very helpful

Room: room 409 had a view of a WALL smh 🤦🏻‍♀️ bed was hard . Bathroom is small but has amenities and very treacherous with a bath you have to climb over
Internet works well .

We got changed to room 911 which was better with a small window and even smaller room lol

Breakfast buffet was very nice with once overwhelmingly helpful staff

I was extremely worried about having to spend three weeks in quarantine on arrival in Vietnam. My daughter who lives in Hanoi had booked me into the Silk Path Hotel she had also booked transport from the airport. I was collected at the airport and asked to wear a hazmat suit - there were two of us booked into the hotel for quarantine but we were taken in separate cars to the hotel. I was escorted to my room by a person in complete pp wear. The room I had was very comfortable and had a balcony. i was on the 7th floor. I could choose meals from set menus via a Whatsapp group and the meals were left outside my door for me. The food was good served hot at regular meal times. Any requests i had were quickly met. Whilst at the hotel I had three covid tests all of which thankfully were negative. I felt very safe at the hotel that I would not come into contact with the coronavirus as the staff followed covid restriction guidelines to the letter. Admittedly I had to clean my own room, change the bed and empty the bins but that meant no-one else would come into my room posing a risk to the virus. At the end of my stay I left in a hazmat suit and my luggage was disinfected before I moved on to my next stage in the quarantine process. The hotel provided medical transport to my final destination and I arrived there safely and covid free.
Quarantine is not easy but the staff at the Silk Path Hotel did their upmost to make my stay as comfortable as possible, and I would recommend the hotel to anyone who has to quarantine in Hanoi. What little I saw of the hotel e.g. my room and reception were beautifully arranged and i would very much like to return to the hotel when we are covid free to take advantage of all the facilities that are usually on offer.

Silk Path Hanoi is a large (130 rooms), modern building centrally located in the Old Quarter. It's conveniently located near umpteen restaurants and coffee shops, and about 15-20 minutes walk in any direction to the major sights. Even the most basic rooms are spacious and contained everything we needed. Breakfasts were a feast with dishes from both east and west.
However, the best thing about this hotel is its staff. All members of staff, from porters to breakfast staff, to those at the front desk, are encouraged to chat to the customers and help and advise in any way they can. As a consequence, we felt so very welcomed and at home. Our itinerary included 5 separate visits to Hanoi, and after the first visit we were always upgraded to a better room, after of course being greeted like old friends at reception! I was very sorry to say goodbye for the last time.

It is a pleasant experience walking into the lobby of our first hotel for this trip. Spacious and airy, it exudes luxury. In the comfortable red and gold-colored armchairs we enjoy the welcome drink while our suitcases are carried in. The room, with a U-shaped layout, is spacious and beautiful. In addition to an inviting large double bed (called matrimonial in Spanish), there is also a single bed. For those who do not behave well? A writing desk, two seats, bathroom with bath and walk-in shower. Our wishes have been more than fulfilled.
The hotel is also well located, close to Hoan Kiem Lake, the Old Quarter and the French Quarter. Everything can easily be reached on foot.

Sorry to be so slow to answer - been away! Probably far too late now but in our experience it is possible to obtain the services of a private driver for what seems to be ridiculously low costs and all our experiences with such have been great. I would always go through personal contact, even if just a friendly member of the hotel staff - the personal contact means a lot in Vietnam. Enjoy.

No this hotel does not have a pool but it is situated in a central position with easy access to transport and all amenities. There are loads of spas in the area and an in-house one as well. Very friendly and helpful staff. I'm sure they will take good care of you.

Its super easy - there is an activities kiosk in the hotel itself, plus a myriad of single day, two day and 3-day options you can book. Transport to Halong Bay can be private car/driver, to shuttle , to bus and all the booking outlets can run through alternatives and associated price.
