This place is small! its a small gem of a spot really. There are 7 floors, and i believe there is 1 room per floor. We had floor 6 and floor 7 (as two couples traveling together). The elevator go up to floor 5 and then you have to walk the rest from there. The room we had on the 6th floor was very large, very spacious, with a large double bed. The bathroom was good sized and very clean with a spa bath, but the spa was far too small for either myself or my husband to comfortable sit in it. The shower is good but the pressure isn't great from the shower head, but good enough to be able to take a shower though myself and husband being quite tall we had to pull it off the wall to be able to wash ourselves, as we didn't fit under it. The bed was the real only let down.. the mattress must be quite old, it wasn't comfortable as all. maybe a new mattress or mattress topper would have helped, because other than that the mattress and height of the shower head, the room was great! The location was right in the old city and we were able to walk around to the night markets and explore the vicinity. Lots of food options everywhere to choose from. The hotel reception staff were very friendly and helpful, constantly with a smile on their face and always looked happy to see us. We quite liked it here!

Unfortunately I am not satisfied with my stay at Golden Land hotel. The breakfast was very Poor. In the menu they have an omelette but we got fried eggs in really deep oil. Personel didn’t know how the omelette looks like! They had to check it on google image 😂 we got also 3 French fries for the breakfast and sausage that I think was splitted on our four plates :) rooms were not really clean... additionally staff was sleeping on the mattresses in the lobby and when we were coming back to the hotel around 11pm they were sleeping so hard that they didn’t even notice that We were in... disaster

Great stay here and very comfortable room. The hotel itself was clean and breakfest was fairly good however you don't really get any selection. Unfortunately I had to pass on the juice offered due to allergies. I understand they couldnt have known that so I dont blame them for this. My only complaint is while I was eating breakfest I witnessed something run across the floor. Whether it was a mouse or a rat I dont know but it was big enough to notice. One of the staff proceeded to put something on the floor afterwards near the stove. I did not see any other rodents or anything anywhere else so perhaps it was just a coincidence. The service was good and staff were friendly. I would give a 3.5 to 4 out of 5.

Nice little hotel right in the heart of Hanoi. My room was amazing, with a great view out over the city, and an extremely comfortable bed. And a bathtub! The staff were friendly, and breakfast was good - although, as other reviewers have commented, it would be nice to have some jam to go with the toast. There was a lift, but it didn't quite go all the way to the top floor. Great location.

When we walked through the front door of the golden land hotel the staff greeted us with a wonderfully warm welcome, smiles all over their faces and just all round beautiful people. The rooms are impressive, comfy beds good sized bathrooms and a great amount of stave in the rooms. That had wonderful block out blinds and double glazed windows, that blocked out all possible sounds Their is nothing bad to say about this place it is just amazing! Everything was extremely clean and tidy. It was a great location to be in. Breakfast was quite nice. We felt extremely looked after and at comfort and ease. They even remembered that my son didn’t want egg, and that I wanted a coffee. It didn’t even come close to the 5 star hotel we stayed in the next night in Ho Chi Minh city. When we come back to Hanoi we will definitely be staying at the golden land hotel!

Very strategic location, which is nearby to basically anything. Around 5 mins walk to both St. Jo Cathedral and the Hoan Kiem Lake. Room is slightly dated but its comfortable and clean. Staff is super helpful and friendly. We can sense that they are doing their best they could to assist us. However, the hotel will close the reception's light (the staff will be sleeping in the reception) after ~11.30pm which seem weird as most hotel will operate 24 hrs.

We had a high floor which was very quiet and comfortable, Nice view of the street with a large window. Price we paid was very reasonable for Hanoi and the location was perfect. It is a small hotel (only about 9 rooms ?) but we enjoyed a 2 week stay here. We booked a trip to "Halong Bay" with the hotel. The breakfast in the hotel was adequate and the room was always cleaned when we were out so no intrusion. The boy's who cleaned the rooms and cooked the breakfast were helpful and friendly and the Receptionist (SAM) was always helpful and chatty and well informed about local happenings. We would have NO hesitation of staying here again for the price we paid.

Girls Trip (4 of us) Absolutely loved our stay staff was amazing and accommodating. Balcony available for a great view and for smokers 😉. Breakfast was simple but good. Currency exchange available at the front desk and atm right outside the front door. Short walk to the lake. Arranged our car service to Halong which was inexpensive and enjoyable. Nothing bad to say. Better pillows than any hotel I have stayed at in the US.

We stayed in this hotel for 4 nights and it was perfect. Its in a great location in the old quarter with walking distance of the lake and plenty of shops and restaurants around and the best coffee shop in Vietnam across the road you have to try the coconut coffee if you ever stay here. the rooms are basic but clean and tv has English movies which was great for watching when we where taking a break from all the walking. The breakfast is grand some eggs and fruit but the guys that work here are so helpful and polite. I would definitely recommend staying here if you are staying in Hanoi.
