Hanoi Charming Hotel is right in the centre of the old quarter of Hanoi. Location and value for money are the two charms of this hotel. The room was clean and spacious, but it had a mouldy/dump kind of smell, and no window to get some fresh air. The air-con was essential, but still didn't manage to take that smell...

Our 5th stay at the Charming (Cheering) hotel, since 2011, for which I’ve left 5 star reviews for the first 4 visits. Firstly, I’d like to express how disappointed I was to discover that the original ‘Jenny’ no longer worked there, although someone was still milking her name/good reputation. Having said that, ALL of the reception staff were wonderful! Only...

Charming hotel was lovely. Clean and tidy and in a quiet little nook of the city- we really enjoyed this location. We were a little disappointed that we couldn't have free breakfast after arriving a few minutes after 10am (the cutoff) and that the elevator was broken (a bit of a drag as we were almost on the top floor)....

This hotel is in need of some TLC and maintenence. Rooms are quite squishy, dark (no windows/natural light), and smell musty/mouldy. Breakfast was ok and the staff are great. Unfortunately the owner and their lack of upkeep, let this hotel and it's lovely staff down. I had booked a 5 night stay here but swapped hotels after only 2 nights....

We arrived early in the morning with train and were at the hotel around 6, no problem with check-in that early! The location is perfect to explore the old quarter. No noise at all , so you can have a good night's sleep. They serve free breakfast, and it's so good and a big portion! The room is very clean...

This hotel lives up to its namesake because of the lovely Jenny and her assistants Anna and Cyndia. The room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was very good every morning. All the staff were extremely helpful and courteous. Staff takes a genuine interest in their customers and does whatever they can to make sure their customers have a most pleasant...

Absolutely no complaints... the staff were delightful and helpful, the room was clean with a large comfortable king sized bed. Great breakfast included and the fastest internet connection I have experienced since traveling! Felt more like a 3 star hotel and I would highly recommend a stay.

Having stayed in a lot exceptional places in Vietnam at the £15 this was a big come down. Maybe Hanoi is just more expensive. The room and hotel in general needs some upgrading. The furniture is old and not well maintained. My room had lots of marks on the wall, peeling paint in the bathroom, no plug in the sink....

We stayed at Charming Hotel when we arrived in January 2017 and before we left end of February 2017. They have the greatest staff, polite, courteous, friendly, helpful, booked trip to Halong bay 2 days and Sapa trecking for three days with our hotel. Our trips were fabulous. Jenna, Anna and the staff made us feel like family. They are...

Helpful staff, always there to book transport and offer advice, they let us keep our big bags there whilst we went to Sapa for the night which was really helpful. Breakfast was included and was tasty, eggs with toast plus fruit and juice and tea or coffee, more than we got in a lot of places. We had a double...
