The A-1 hotel sits in the heart of the old district making it the perfect place to get around. The hotel is old and cheap. The people are friendly but with very little English. The rooms are small and clean but who spends time in the hotel anyway. There was no breakfast at the price. No problem. There are plenty...

First of all, I must say that the hotel owner (James, if I am not mistaken) is really nice & accommodating. BUT the hotel bathroom had a faulty heater. The heater was working inconsistently - most times being boiling hot!! We were fortunate to be placed on the 7th floor, in a room (quite worn-looking) at the back of the...

This Hotel has a perfect location and very friendly helpful staff. It can absolutely not be brand new as stated in their own description of the hotel. It is a little run down - but you get what you pay for and this is good value for money. Especially if you have a big room as we did on the...

We arrived late , due to flight delays and then the taxi could not find it, once there , we were asked for our passports , a usual occurrence in Vietnam , we were then shown to our room , the pillows were brown from sweaty heads , no blankets on the bed , the sheets were stained , air...

Overall the hotel was fine. the staff were great and it was a great location in the Old Quarter right next to the lake. But the bed was horrendous even for a cheap hotel like this. This is the only thing i found wrong with the otherwise clean and comfortable rooms but i did not sleep for 2 nights (2...

The staff are very friendly and helpful. Location is excellent, close to shops, cafes ETC. You are in the thick of all things and will love it. Ask for a room on the upper floors, there are 7 floors at the hotel.Best room numbers are 02 or 03, if you get rooms with 01 they will have a balcony but...

The staff here are very helpful, have good English language ability, and are extremely courteous. They have a close relationship with a finance organisation and offer the best money exchange rate that I could find. They have a booking office that allows any tour, train, taxi or private car to and from airport etc. There is no problem if you...
