Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Mixed feelings on this place  We had booked for one night but ended up staying for 4 but mainly because we couldnt be bothered to pack up and hunt again. Pro's and cons below: - We had requested a room with a bath and we didnt get one, nor an explanation as to why not. - The room is minuscule, two people plus bags and that was about all you could fit in!  - There was no window so it felt very claustrophobic and stuffy.  - TV didnt work well, the screen looked like an old 70's screen all pixelated.  - Breakfast was quite bland and didnt change day to day and we were pretty sure the american style pancakes were reused day after day and tasted dry and rubbery. - Maybe it was because we were on the 7th floor but it took a good 5 to 10 minutes for hot water to come through the shower. - I'm not sure why, but neither of us slept well over all 4 nights, we had really odd dreams in this room (702), we're not all that superstitious and that but it was very unlike us and we could only attribute it to the room... - Quite expensive for what you got + Staff were kind, gave us advice on where to go and greeted us whenever we entered or exited the hotel + Beds were comfortable (even for Asia!) + Location wise its grand if you're up for a walk. It was 10 minutes walk to the Beer Street (which was mostly closed when we were there - Coronavirus). 5 to 10 minutes walk to Hoan Kiem lake where you can join the HOHO, visit the lake and there are good restaurants and a few bars. And a 5 to 10 minute walk in the opposite direction to train street and a little area with some cool pubs and restaurants (google map Xofa restaurant and Puku and it's around there). Overall we probably would have moved elsewhere but we were really tired and couldnt be bothered. But we probably wouldn't come back here either, it was too pricey for not enough good points. We also found 4 days too much in Hanoi, three was plenty, two probably enough.

I booked a eternity hotel via Agoda but it was closed and there's a note that said I will check in Hanoi Avatar. When I arrived there the reception guy was rude and not helpful at all. I went to the room and was shocked it was not the room I expected. Very small and when I slept I was itching and felt something crawling. Lift the pillow then saw 3 bed bugs, lift the blanket and there's more. I then checked out and told the guy I need a refund so the guy told me that he will give my refund the next day. He advised me to contact agoda too which i did and haven't received any response. So the next day I went back to get my refund and people at the reception just told me they can't do anything I just need to contact agoda. They don't care at all. I'm really disappointed I hope that anyone who booked with this hotel or eternity hotel hanoi would cancel it to not have same experience as I am

I stayed a few nights here while visiting Hanoi. The bed and pillows were extremely comfortable and probably the best I experienced during my one month stay in Vietnam. The staff and tour desk were very helpful. The breakfast was very good and is served until 10AM, which is later than most hotels in Vietnam. The room was very charming and updated- just as the pictures show. Five stars all around- I would not hesitate to stay here again.

Location is very good located at the heart of old quater. Simple and good breakfast. The room that we stayed are mostly like what I view from the picture online. Clean and bright. And my family members like it very much. One point that out of my expectations are the staffs are extremely friendly and helpful, especially Tom, Kili and Huyen (same shift with Tom, but unsure if right name.) They are too professional until i must give my compliment here to recognise their excellent service to us. Eventhough, one of a night we can't use the basin, but my family members willing to accept this as their response were best. Huyen went to our room immediately and tried to fix it, but it was midnight with no tools and helper. They managed to fix it next day and room was cleaned and shine. Tom is always welcome us with big smile, he is patiently introdure the attraction, as well as others of our inquiries.

I just spent only one night at the hotel but it treated me like at sweet home. Very friendly and helpful staffs. beautiful smiles with you and took care of your stay. It was so closed to the market and th Hong Ha theater with many shows about the Vietnam Traditional life style in the countryside.
