Nexy ticks a lot of boxes no matter what type of traveller you are. It is located down a quieter street away from the motorbike chaos but still in the Old Quarter and easy to walk to nearby bars, restaurants and Hoan Kiem Lake. The staff were quite helpful and friendly, more so than some other hostels in Vietnam. I stayed in the 14 bed mixed dorm which is a large room with a window that you can open at the end. Each bed has a large locker underneath along with a curtain, lamp and powerpoint socket. The beds are really comfortable which does come in handy if you get sick or just need a rest from travelling. Not a huge amount of noise in the room as most people were respectful of others although it may depend on the guests. The free breakfast was decent - toast, fruit and pho all on offer. There is a really cool rooftop but it seems to be empty a lot of the time. Overall, I think this a great place to stay in Hanoi, no real downsides!…
Our stay at Nexy was excellent! The atmosphere was chill and cosy and the sleeping arrangements worked out perfectly. The hostel had a nice bar, game room and a great rooftop. All of the staff members were polite, helpful and easy to communicate with. We stayed at Nexy Hostel in Hanoi for one night before we moved on to Sapa. Even tho we only stayed there for one night, the staff helped us a lot the following days with booking busses, storing our luggage for some hours and so on. I would really recommend you to stay here for the best backpacker experience! If you don’t have a lot of plans for the following days, the staff at Nexy will help you plan a great stay in Vietnam. 5/5 stars!
The Hostel is on a side-street just out of the chaos of central Hanoi, ideal if you're planning on spending a few nights in Hanoi. Only 2 minutes from Hoan Kiem Lake, and less than 10 minutes from the famous 'beer street', it's an especially good spot if you're on holiday with a few mates. Hotel staff spoke perfect English and were always helpful, including booking us an airport taxi and organising a street food crawl. Rooms were clean and air conditioned, can't fault the hostel at all
What an amazing hostel. I stayed in the 14 bed dorm. The beds were very comfortable with privacy curtains. There was also a huge locker with key provided. Room had a large window at the front so it was light and very airy. The staff were very friendly and helpful. They greeted me so warmly when I arrived and helped me with all my various questions. I was traveling solo and found it very easy to make new friends. Breakfast had lots of options including pho noodle soup. I will definitely stay here again.
Staff speaks good English, but so unfriendly and arrogant stuff. Not helpful. Kitchen person which is supposed to see what need to be refilled and opens the luggage room is sleeping on the steps. Vietnam style.
