The room was very spacious, clean and comfortable. Very good value for the price. Staff very helpful and friendly.Overall I would rate it as very good and had everything I needed for a comfortable stay, especially the location (10mins walk to the night market) and Plenty of restaurants within a walking distance.

They are very welcoming. Coffee when I arrived, I could check in at 8am. Breakfast at only 2$ and my Pho was excellent. You can have a continental breakfast.
The only thing, I wouldn't book the cruise to the bay with the man they recommend. But it's not the hotel fault!!
I will definitely recommend it

This place was great value for money. Had nice, clean big rooms. Family run and they were very friendly. 30 minute walk from halongs main pier. They will organize boats trips for you aswel if needed. Beside loads of restaurants. Although the area is extremely quite and dose not have much of an atmosphere due to the lack of people, I RWould still defiantly recommend it as it was a very relaxing stay.

We stayed here only for one night during our roundtrip trough Vietnam as a base for our day in Halong Bay.The ceiling and bathroom were moldy, the bedsheets had not been changed (there was hair in the bed), and the pillow was yellow/brown and had a bad smell. When I asked for a clean sheet and a different pillow, the woman at the desk was quite rude about making the change

Our stay in this hotel was over 2 month ago, during which we experienced very unpleasant situation.
+ They take the money at the time of the booking but will not let you stay in the hotel if you don't have the credit card you paid with.
+ It's supposed to be a smoke free Hotel but apparently the guests still smoke in the rooms.
+ Location of the hotel - really out of Halong center attractions, far from everything.
+ always they ask you for booking tour to Ha Long Bay.

Would recommend as it's pretty average but had a cold shower
Breakfast was nice
BUT would not stay in Halong Bay city again as there's nothing to do and there's not a lot of variety with the food that's around. Definitely go straight on a boat tour

This is a family-owned hotel with a hands-on approach, as most of the family members take part in the day-to-day running of the hotel. Check-in was smooth and the lady at reception spoke good English. One should note that there is no lift/elevator in the hotel and the staircase is very steep. However, there is always someone around to help with the luggage. The room and bathroom were spotlessly clean. An adequate breakfast was served, but I did not like the coffee -- made from that aweful three-in-one stuff in a packet consisting of brown powder, white powder and sweetener. I found the staff to be super friendly and helpful.

This is not one of those upmarket establishments; this hotel is basic and provides accommodation at a rate that is fantastic value for money. I will definitely stay here again if the opportunity arises.

We spent 3 nights at the Viet Nhat Halong Hotel and were pleased to experience such a warm welcome and help throughout our stay. Everyone in the family running the hotel were very friendly and the room was nice and clean. Thank you very much for making our time in Halong Bay the very best.

Great location of this hotel. Rooms were adequate. The major drawback was that there was no elevator and we stayed on the 5th floor. Quite an exercise in the heat. The major plus was the woman owner/operator. She was very friendly and went out of her way to help us set up rides and scooter rentals etc. to a very good price. We stayed two nights before a boat tour on Halong Bay.

This is a friendly family-run establishment further up the hill from the main cluster of hotels, with a few shops nearby, including a cheap noodle shop two doors up. The lady speaks good English, but if she isn't around you may find communication difficult if you don't speak any Vietnamese or Chinese. I found the extended family very eager to help me in any way they could.

The hotel is in the part of Hạ Long called Bai Chay, which has developed into the main tourist area and is separated from the business district, Hon Gai, by the huge Bai Chay bridge. Frankly, Bai Chay isn't very interesting, and at the moment there is extensive construction work going on all along the waterfront, restricting the views out to sea. If you want to go to Hon Gai, it's too far to walk, but there is a regular bus service, number 3, that can take you across for 10,000₫ (you can catch it further up the hill from the hotel: right at the first 3-way intersection then straight across the second 3-way intersection at the top of the hill; the bus will be going in the direction of your approach). Personally, I would prefer to stay in Hon Gai if I were to return, as the scenery and urban spaces are vastly more attractive than Bai Chay.
