The room was comfy and spacious with a very nice bathroom. The host was so friendly and helpful. Great location in Halong, very close to the bay and many restaurants and cafes. We really enjoyed our stay and will definitely be back!

We enjoyed our stay and would use the hotel again.Good location with bay view. I like the decoration of room. The room was wonderful and the view spectacular. However, the staff is limited in both their English and their concept of service.loved it it will be my first choice hotel in Halong bay next time.

If you want to stay on the Hon Gai side of Ha Long (rather than the rather overdeveloped Bai Chay side) then this is a great small friendly place to stay.

We stayed in the ‘VIP’ room on the 6th floor with a view over the park. The room was very clean and comfortable and the staff were very helpful.

The breakfast choices were limited though - if you’re not a fan of pho and Vietnamese coffee then you’re a bit stuck!

Dear dmn21, Thank you for staying with us and thank you for nice comment. We are very happy to know you appreciated our comfortable room and our friendly staffs. Now we have more choice for the breakfast for the people who are not fan of Pho and Vietnamese coffee. It is toast with eggs, butter, jam, sausage or bacon, fresh fruit and tea. We hope will welcome you again when you visit Ha Long city and you will be happy with our breakfast. With our best regards, Do Thi Thu Hien (Veronica)/Mrs - Hotel Manager

Vivian was excellent, she speaks English, kept in contact via whatsapp, arranged wonderful tours...highly recommend the Bai Tu Long tour for the authentic rustic experience. Extremely happy with the room best I have stayed in, comfortable bed, free snacks everyday and available snacks for purchase...lovely touch. Large bathroom and HOT water.

I'd only recommend staying here if you won't rely on this hotel for help with anything. The rooms are nice and spacious and modern but the service is atrocious. The hotel is also located in the middle of nowhere - there's a nice view close by but very few restaurant options.

We booked a boat tour with the hotel when we checked in which turned out to be a fiasco. We knew it was much more expensive than booking on our own but figured going through the hotel was easier. When we checked out, we had to ask for our passports back otherwise they wouldn't have given them back. The minivan that took us to the pier was falling apart and they crammed people into it but we were okay with that.

What we weren't okay with was all that ensued afterward - we were told by the hotel we could store our bags at their office by the pier but that wasn't the case so we had to take them with us. The boat tour was canceled due to bad weather and we had to insist on the tour operators calling the hotel to confirm where to drop us off as they just said they would take us back to the hotel when we'd already checked out and booked a bus to Hanoi through the hotel which stopped by the pier. We were dropped off at a restaurant, given our money for the tour back apart from the bus money, told to wait 30 minutes when in actual fact we waited over an hour. The bus that came was the one we were originally supposed to take to Hanoi had the boat tour gone ahead. When the bus arrived, it was sent away by someone there who had to call it back and we were then very rudely told the bus was full and we would had to take small plastic chairs from the restaurant onto the bus - when we had paid for tickets the day before. The bus employee was so rude and when we asked him to call the hotel to check why the bus was full when we'd paid for tickets already he said they'd leave without us.

In the end, we went on the bus and - turns out the rude bus employee and his colleague were going to sit in our seats and force us to sit on the plastic chairs. They gave us seats in the end but the whole experience was horrible. Oh and might I add, we had asked the hotel to book us the same private minicab we took from Hanoi to go back but they insisted they couldn't do that and could only book us that bus.

Great hotel with spacious, clean rooms. Right across from the park or within walking distance to the water or shops. We chose the hotel because of the close access to Bai Tho Mountain which is about 1km away.

Great breakfast too.

We enjoyed our stay at Ha Long park. The staff are very friendly and the rooms are clean and comfortable.
We were able to get laundry done at a good price and they took care of our items which had to be air dried rather than in a drying machine.
If there are large groups staying, and they are moving in the corridors and rooms, you will be disturbed.
It is quite far from other areas of Halong bay, we took taxis to the sun wheel and to meet our tour company for Halong bay tour and each time the cost was 70,000-90,000 vnd. There aren't any trip-advisor recommended restaurants in this area. We ate when we were out for the day. There is an awesome Bahn mi place opposite the main entrance to Sun Park (Bahn Mi An - search via google, they aren't on trip advisor).
Breakfast at the hotel was ok - they can do pho or eggs + toast. The eggs were good and they will serve a plate of fruit too.
Coffee wasn't good as we don't like pre-sweetened coffee and milks. The second day we took our own coffee and milk powder. However it's hard to find unsweetened coffee powders in hotels in Vietnam.
I can recommend this hotel to other travellers, however if I came back to Hanoi I would try to stay somewhere closer to the wharf where the boats leave from, or near sun park.
It is a nice area to walk around on a good day as there is a big park nearby and it is close to the waters edge where you can enjoy the view of the limestone caves.

We were very impressed with the room. The service from Miss Rose was impeccable. Best service we have experienced in Vietnam so far. Nothing was too much for her, always with a smile. Mrs Veronica showed the same standard of service. Breakfast not very impressive. Hotel location fantastic for walking and close by is large shopping centre with supermarket and many shops.
