We had a terrible experience with this hotel. We have been traveling through Vietnam and were most excited to visit Dalat, but this hotel left us desiring much more. Especially for the price, and considering the fact that we had been staying at <3 star hotels for the other destinations. To begin, we checked in at the front (we did...

Well this is the worst hotel I have ever stayed in my life. Like u stay in ghost castle start from the first day arrive to the hotel. There are two very old skinny bellboy welcome you. Then after check in they gave you a very big room key. The bed is the worst part. I think they have not...

The Saphir Dalat Hotel as far as I concern can't be consider as a 4 stars hotel The room: 1.The worst bed ever 2. I was staying on the path/ corridor leading to the dining room (they do not have a real restaurant). hearing all people on the way and also because of the hotel location the Buses early morning...

The hotel has a unique Rustic French/Dalat style ( including old fashioned chain flush for toilets and claw feet baths). Antique Volkswagon cars and a combie, and antique BMW motorbikes are intersting adornments. These are like an interesting cake covered over with artistic icing. However the cake inside ain't too flash. -Don't arrive early and expect any favours because the...

We loved the rustic feeling of this hotel and antique furniture found throughout. It is in a good location and has spectacular views. We were only disappointed with the lack of air conditioning!!! We couldn't believe a four-star hotel didn't include air con. Luckily Dalat isn't too hot a city and it wasn't too humid with the windows closed.

On our recent motorbike tour through the Vietnamese Central Highlands, we spent one night at the Saphir Dalat Hotel and it was fabulous! Firstly it's quirky with lots of old cars and motorbikes around the place - almost museum like in some ways. Our check-in was quick (but then again we were a large group and that was all done...

Considering all of the options in Dalat, this is an okay location. Rooms are unique and tied to the theme of an early 20th century hotel. The beds were comfortable, but the noise from other guests in the hallway was a problem at 5:00 in the morning. It's a little off the beaten path so be prepared to walk to...

Billed as an international standard hotel, the Saphir was a great disappointment! Plumbing in the bathroom was spartan and very smelly; the room, although appearing 'charming' was cool and unbelievably noisy throughout the night. The top third of the windows was covered only with fly-screen & unable to close out wind or noise. Late-arriving buses were constantly being directed by...

The Saphir is on a hill around many hotels, but stands unique among the neighboring hotels. It resembles a Bavarian castle with antiques and beautiful brickwork and architecture. The lower floors are a little dark, but the upper two have great views. We stayed on floor 3, but the top floor (no elevator) looks even better. The rooms are nice...
