When we first arrive, the so called bell boy came to take our bags without asking if we needed help.. He went with one bag, n we carried the remaining ourself. Then wandering around the room waiting. Went off after given some money.

Went to the counter for check in, the girls did not greet nor smile to us. Not even standing up when serving a customer.

So positives, the rooms are pleasant and clean. Can't me with all the standard items you would expect. But as some descriptions say, this hotel isn't boutique. It's just a plain hotel, more like a Holiday Inn style venue. We where offered a 50% discount via Agoda, so gave it a try. For those unaware of this Soi, it's usually called Soi Honey and is practically opposite Soi 10 (2nd road to beach road). It's smack in the middle of central Pattaya, literally minutes from everything. So is perfect for those who want to be in the thick of it. We where is room 404 we had no noise issues, and the air-con worked fine, room was clean and comfortable. All you need really if you never stay in the hotel. A real perk to the room is they all have international plug sockets, no need to share the one travel plug for the whole holiday. Wi-Fi is free and very fast also. The shower, although not very adjustable is powerful and good. They should have installed rainfall showers for the size of the cubicle really, but that's just being picky.

Negatives where, the small pool is indoors and located at street level, pretty weird, I never seen anyone use it. Usually with a hotel like this it's on the roof. No idea why not. We where only allowed one room key card, which is kind off strange and a little irritating when my wife and I where away doing separate things. The staff here are quite good, but I think they may need a little more training. Simple things like, opening the door for customers, especially when they arrive to check in. We had just completed a 12 hour bus ride and had to struggle through the doors with our bags at first, not a major point I know, but it's attention to detail that matters for me and just generally smiling in reception would improve it alot. It's definitely not the worst negatives ever, and very minor!

Verdict-Good, clean, and central. I would stay here again but I don't know if it would be my first choice. There is alot better available for the same price if you know where to look.

Not sure if i was given the worst room, but this whole place was awful.
Swipe didn't work properly to get into the room (would take 5-6 tries), bed was hard as a rock, the room had no bedside lamps, the lock to the balcony door was broken and didn't work and the worst bit-the inroom safety box was not attached to anything and could be picked up and moved around!. On the second day the swipe didn't work at all and the door couldn't be locked. Terrible place, unfriendly staff, a pool that is not usable, staff hanging around sleeping in a room next to the foyer. Not dbl glazed so noisy, bed was like concrete. It's not cheap either. Terrible.

I am 99% certain this hotel stole from my room safe. I literally went out to change money, and when I got back within the hour, money was missing - money I had just counted and made note of and was in bundles according to amounts. All the amounts were now off and the totals short. The hotel then refused to show me the CCTV footage to see who, besides the cleaning staff, may have entered the room.

We stayed for two nights. When we checked in a man took _half_ our luggage without asking and carried it to the room. The other half we had to take ourself.
Then he "hoovered around" until we had to pay him to go out of the room. Very unpleasant.

Staff was not helpfull with anything. We asked how to get from hotel to ---, they would/could not help.

When we checked out and were waiting to pay, a lady came down at the lobby with all our sheets. They had some snuf/scruf/chewtobacco stains on them. (fell a sleep with a chewtobacco/snus). She held the sheets up high-so that everyone in the lobby saw them, and yelled that this was someone having the period. They told us we had ruined the sheets and had to pay for replacements.
We told her it was an unfortunate tobacco spill and that it would go off in the washing machine. She took it under running cold water-in front of everyone- and told us i did not go off. The whole experience was very emberressing and provoking.

In summary: Ok hotelrooms ( although very low lighting in lobby/hallways, elevator and ROOM...- and really poor shower), small balkony and EXTREMELY unpleasant staff!!!

Would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

Its a 3 year old hotel... I stayed here before it was ok... So booked here again and it was a mistake... Staff is not smiling at all; its like they have a attitude like they don't want to be there or don't ask me anything figure. There was lot of mosquitos on my arrival; next day i told room attendant; she sprayed the room... And then there was these bugs in the room on my last night; i killed several of them; so I'm definitely not staying here again or recommending to anyone.
All shopping centres, restaurants are close by... Walking distance to most of the places...

Came to do two days of work (yes work). Arrived and waited for 2 pm check in. Got to my supposedly upgraded room only to find out the room was being used by the maids as the storage closet to store all the maid carts, eat, charge their phones and so forth. So I had to stand while the hotel found their maids to clean out the room and what did they do, just dumped their crap outside my door.

Went out to do some work and came back to discover that the patio sliding door would not shut or lock and the safe in the room you could just pick up and walk away with it. Granted hotel safes are not secure overall but it would be a nice feeling to have one semi attached to the room. Having maids wandering around access to all rooms with a safe that can walk away had me not pleased especially in this city.

Hotel moved me and made me wait till the cleaned up another room. Come to find out the hotel does not supply hot water makers so working through the night on my project proposal will be a challenge with no coffee service.

When I asked about moving hotels they said to contact who I booked through to get a refund, and I booked directly with them. So guess it is time to pack my bags block / reverse this hotel charge and go up the road to stay at a dive hotel but I know atleast that hotel has a safe that is bolted and a hot water maker in the room.

So much for trying out the new hotels in the area, they are seriously crap. Do yourself a favor and avoid this hotel. They act as if I am making an issue for wanting a room that has a door that locks and a safe that is bolted.

Never had a more embarrassing and unpleasant encounter with any hotel staff than in this place. I sincerely recommend finding other options. There are several similar but better alternatives in the area, where rooms are better and staff is polite and professional at the same price.
Description if you decide to stay:
Large room as described, but tiny balkony. Unbolted noisy aircondition occupied about half the balkony.
Svimmingpool next to reception.
Hotel had no breakfast option, but diner next door had great buffet breakfast for 150 Baht.
