The InterContinental Pattaya Resort is celebrated for its tranquil atmosphere and scenic views, providing a relaxing environment that guests find ideal for unwinding. Cleanliness throughout the resort is consistently lauded, with many visitors impressed by the spotless conditions. While the spacious, well-equipped rooms with picturesque views are a hit, a few guests have noted occasional maintenance issues. The service at this IHG hotel is often highlighted as attentive and professional. Moreover, the amenities, including multiple pools and excellent dining options, add to the value that travelers recognize in their stays. However, some note that the hillside location, though beautiful, may necessitate additional transport.

The hotel left mixed impressions. This is certainly a wonderful hotel for Pattaya. There is a view, a piece of beach with white sand, it’s littered, but you can’t swim, there are a few sun loungers, a green area. For the Intercontinental network this is of course a failure and does not correspond to the great name of the network. And the price is very high. Let's start with the fact that the hotel is old, the rooms are in need of renovation. They tried to move us into a room that smelled of mold from the air conditioner, she refused, and within an hour the room was changed. The new one was heavily sprayed with perfume, but did not smell of mold. It smelled in the evening, so I can conclude that all rooms have this problem. However, I was lucky, because when I walked past the building where they initially tried to check me in, I could smell a strong smell of paint, that is, the renovation takes place right on holidays, when the price jumps, when the hotel is fully occupied. My problem was voiced to the manager of the Jude hotel, the manager and the cleaner came to check the room, they saw the problem, I also showed that there was evidence of mold on the curtains and in the shower, around the bathtub, on the tiles in the shower stall, but other than offering me an electric fragrance air with essential oils and compliment the hotel did nothing. When I asked to clean the air conditioner, I was informed that it would be too inconvenient and time-consuming for me. I note that this is not a problem everywhere in Pattaya; there were no such problems in other, even less famous networks. Living in such conditions is dangerous for your health. The icing on the cake - the shower switch was stuck, it wouldn’t switch from the shower head to the fungus, only with the help of pliers was it possible for the cleaner to do this. But I couldn’t take a shower with him. Therefore, I only had to use a watering can. Inconvenient light control. For example, you cannot turn on only 1 light bulb, or the entire row, or none of them. Inconvenient. Nutrition: weak. Breakfast for 4, no porridge, scramble tasteless, no matcha tea. Dinners are very meager, service is incredibly slow, it took me 2 hours to have dinner, despite the fact that dinner is not very busy. I didn’t like that even water was paid for! I haven't seen this anywhere at all. The Christmas night cost additional money, naturally very high, it was impossible to pay for the entire package at once when booking, which was extremely inconvenient.
There seem to be pools, but they are cold and old. It's time to change the tiles in them. It's unpleasant to swim in an old pool.
What I liked: there is a free shuttle to central Pattaya. However, one day we did not find a return transfer at the specified time, and we had to return on our own.

Originally I had only planned to stay here for 5 nights, but because of the pleasant atmosphere I decided to stay longer.

Quiet location above Pattaya Cental, but with Grab or Bolt you can reach everything nearby at a reasonable price. The peace and quiet is only interrupted in the evening for about 1.5 hours by the entertainment program of the neighbouring hotel. But during the day you can enjoy the peace and quiet by the beautifully situated pool.

The restaurants at the resort offer good cuisine as well as an extensive breakfast buffet. In addition, the restaurants, as well as all other hotel facilities, are characterized by the service of exceptionally friendly and helpful staff.

I would particularly like to mention the team at Elements here, Thammarat, Orathai and Anusara impress with their friendliness and attentiveness.

The rooms are well equipped, the king-size rooms with sea view have an unobstructed view of the coast due to the hotel's location on a mountain.

The grounds are very spacious and hilly due to the hillside location. However, there is a cart service available day and night to make it easy to reach the facilities and rooms.

The hotel also has its own small stretch of beach, which can be reached by elevator.

International guests, these nationalities are conspicuously well represented: Russians, Japanese and Chinese.

We spent five nights here in an ocean view junior suite with Club Access. It’s a spectacular resort with three swimming pools, spectacular gardens and great ocean view from the hill.

Check in was a little disappointing as on arrival we were told there were no available rooms and that we’d need to wait a few hours. This was disappointing considering that as a top tier IHG member and Ambassador, early check-in is never usually an issue and we’d advised the hotel well ahead of time of our arrival time. What made it worse was that the room was not made available until close to 4pm and the room was not the one we were promised but it worked out ok. Some work needs to be done around this process.

Our room was very spacious and comfortable at 65sqm with a baclony and lounges which added another 12sqm. We had a great view of the resort and ocean. The room is very well appointed and was kept spotleslly clean throughout our stay.

The staff at the hotel are very welcoming and got to know us over the five days we were there. The ladies in the Club were fantastic. Probably the best staff of all are the guys who look after you when you‘re down at the swimming pools. They were always happy to see you and made sure your towel was just right, that you had an icy cold bottle of water and occasionally brought around lovely chilled fruit skewers. These were really nice touches. They do a fantastic job!

I’ve got to say that breakfast was average, It was never hot and choices were quite limited in the Club. We ate at the main restaurant on one occasion and it was slightly better with more choices but we felt we were better looked after in the Club.

We had afternoon tea in the Club each day and this was really nice.

The evening drinks and canapes were nice and we enjoyed the variety on offer each night. I do however think that 8pm is a little late for the drinks to start and would like to see this brought forward to perhaps 6.30 or 7.00.

The hotel has a shuttle running to and from the Central Mall in Pattaya and we used this a few times. This is a great service and it’s totally free. Make sure you book.

One downside is that the hotel has what they call a “beach” which is really just a strip of sand looking down over a rocky shore. There is no way you can swim there. It doesn’t matter how many different ways the hotel spins this in socials as being a beach , it’s not… It was however kind of nice to lay on the sun lounges and enjoy the view and the sound of the ocean.

This is a lovely, scenic resort and it felt like a true oasis in the middle of the craziness of Pattaya. It was great to come back ‘home’ each time we ventured out. One tip I’d offer is that if you feel like a view just walk up to the end of the street to the left as you come out of the hotel and you will find a scenic viewing point which has spectacular views over all of Pattaya Beach. Amazing.

The best part of this hotel are the lovely welcoming staff.

I didn’t like the hotel, I don’t recommend it, there are much more worthwhile accommodation options for the same price. We are vacationing in this hotel now in January 2024 and this, in my opinion, is one of the most disastrous accommodation options.
1. The hotel is located far from the center, yes, it’s quiet, but there is no infrastructure nearby, not a single cafe, store, or fruit stand nearby, it’s impossible to walk there, as there are no sidewalks, you can meet packs of dogs along the road. In general, the nearest 7/11 is 6 minutes by car. So everything is 5 times more expensive in the hotel. This is especially inconvenient if you have a small child.
2. The pools are old and uninteresting, the water is cold.
3. There is no beach.
4. There is a bass shuttle to the central festival, but you need to sign up for it, it leaves on schedule, the ride is 35 minutes! By taxi you can get there in 22 minutes on average.
5. The restaurant for breakfast is bad, there is little choice of fruits, and basically a small table, there is a girl standing there making an omelet.
6. There are restaurants on site, I didn’t like the food, the prices are, of course, 3 times more expensive than on the street.
7. A deposit of 20,000 baht upon check-in for a room is quite overkill for such a hotel.
In general, if you are used to a quality vacation at 5, do not consider this hotel, it’s a shame to spend money that it’s not worth at all, and most importantly, ruin your vacation.

My friends, my couple and I stayed at Intercontinental Pattaya Resort at Club zone and received very impressive service from the staff named Isriya (Eve) starting from the check in by explaining the benefits in detail and presenting the room very well and impressively.

I asked her for an ashtray to be placed in my friend's room which she immediately informed the relevant staff to bring it asap showing her attention for the customer's needs. I also received complimentary snacks which she asked the relevant staff to bring to my room immediately as well.

She has a very good service mind.

This is my second stay at this hotel after my first at the end of 2018.

The hotel is at the South End of Pattaya away from the hustle and bustle of central Pattaya located not far from the Pattaya City Sign.

On the last visit we had a King Classic Garden View Room that was lovely and I would book again but on this visit we had a King Junior Suite Club Lounge Access Ocean View.

The room is very large and well laid out with all the plug sockets able to take the plugs of the majority of countries around the world so you don't need an adaptor.

From the moment we arrived every single member of staff have made us feel welcome from the bell staff, shuttle driver to and from Pattaya, reception staff, the staff around the pool with the complimentary drinking water, the chef in the Intercontinental Lounge as well as all the staff in the lounge.

It is set in lovely gardens and is not a large resort with 400 or 500 rooms and made for a relaxing time.

Despite being away from the centre of Pattaya and if the complimentary shuttle which runs several times a day departure times don't suit there is normally a taxi opposite the hotel entrance waiting.

I would recommend this hotel to anyone and this is my hotel of choice in Pattaya.

Too many steps , structure is horrible.

This hotel initially seemed very beautiful, but contrary to our satisfaction upon arrival, we noticed numerous shortcomings over the next few days.

If you are a big fan of stairs, this is the hotel for you!
It seems they forcefully turned a steep area into a hotel, which is why there are thousands of stairs.

Upon arrival, we were given only one room early, and the other room was handed over at 5 PM, The hotel management claimed that because they gave one room early, they compensated by giving the other room late.

What do the two rooms have to do with each other? If you understand the logic behind this, please let us know, as we certainly didn’t.

The breakfast is minimal, at the level of a 3-star hotel, with very limited food options, most of which are non-European and entirely Asian cuisine.

I requested that, just as they handed over the room late, they also allow late check-out.

However, when I contacted the hotel management, they responded that since they had given the other room early, they didn’t consider this room late, which is completely illogical. Ultimately, the hotel management hung up on me without providing any justification.
I don’t need any nice answer under my comment from hotel management because if you want be nice you should be nice in act.

Overall, there are much better hotels in this area and in the vicinity of this hotel that I recommend choosing instead. I absolutely do not recommend this hotel.

Dear kboy6000, Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We sincerely regret that your experience did not meet your expectations and that you encountered challenges during your stay. Our resort is uniquely built on a hillside to offer stunning ocean views, which does result in multiple stairways. For guests who prefer to minimize stairs, we do provide buggy services throughout the property for added convenience. We apologize for any inconvenience caused by the room allocation process. While we always strive to provide the room ready as per standard check in time and we do our best to accommodate all the rooms as promised, we regret this was not handed to you properly and not communicated more clearly by our management. Regarding breakfast, our aim is to offer a diverse selection that caters to our international guests. We appreciate your feedback and will certainly review our offerings to ensure a more balanced selection. We are also sorry if the communication regarding check-out and the overall experience did not meet your expectations. Providing excellent service is our top priority, and we will review this matter internally to enhance our guest experience. Once again, we appreciate your comments and regret that we did not meet your expectations on this occasion. We value your feedback as it helps us improve, and we hope to have the opportunity to welcome you back for a better experience in the future. Best regards, Karan Suwannaphong Guest Experience Manager

As may be expected this IHG Intercontinental is first class all the way.
There are numerous , friendly staff everywhere ready to be of assistance. The room was large with a good view of the sea. There are three large pools where complimentary water is presented without asking which is a sign of a five star establishment.

There are two very nice restaurants both of which present menus with a wide variety of options both Thai and western .Infiniti is out front over the sea and offers a splendid view of the islands.
The breakfast was buffet style and offered a very wide variety of foods with both indoor and outdoor seating.
This property is situated on a hill and is composed of many levels. It can be confusing at first but after a bit it became clear. So be prepared for a lot of stairs but there are golf carts available to take you wherever you need to go if the stairs are a challenge.

The room was very large and came with all the expected items. There was also a balcony with two chairs and a table overlooking the sea. Very nice indeed.

We had no problems at all during our stay and will return.

And as a bonus this hotel is reasonably priced.

We, a family of five across three generations spent two nights here mid Feb. The hotel was running at almost 100% due to a wedding and a nearby golf tournament. I had previously stayed at this property around 7 years ago when it was a Sheraton and I don’t think IHG has spent a dime on it since. Let’s start with the positives - the staff are very good although the cleaning staff to clean our room one day as they either couldn’t read or misread the sign we’d placed on the door asking for her room to be cleaned. This was remedied quickly. The location is far enough away from the Pattaya madness to make it a good family destination. The ocean outlook and mature tropical gardens are magnificent. The not so good… maintenance is below par for an Intercon branded property with dining tables and railings in serious need of replacement or at very least a few licks of paint. F and B outlets are below standard for a Intercon and are in serious need of a reboot. The ‘signature’ restaurant ‘Infiniti’ offers a very uninspiring menu and wine list with cheap and tired plastic menus on offer. Really for an Intercon brand they should be doing a lot better rather than offering pretty much exactly what the Sheraton probably was when they took it over five years ago. In summary a solid hotel but really if they are not doing the intercon brand justice as it is in its current state. I’m a diamond ambassador IHG level… would I return..? I think there are other more modern options around worth considering until they get their act together.
