As always I am most pleased by my recent visit to the Residence Garden. The large comfortable studio room opens up to the rear pool. Cleanliness in the rooms, restaurant and all recreational areas is flawless.

The food is very good and plenty of variety in the restaurant. Staff is courteous and professional. The property Manager,Da, is on site and a pleasure to deal with in all aspects.
The hotel location is very convenient to taxi and Baht bus. Also laundry services and massage are across the street.

We arrived at the Residence Gardens not really knowing what to expect, the Internet booking rate was 1,350 Baht which equated to about £24 Sterling, What do you get for £24? we wondered.
What you get is simply one of the best deals we have ever had for a Hotel ! We arrived from Bangkok by Taxi service booked through the RG`s Front Desk which picked us up from our Bangkok Hotel, on time and the driver was excellent, Check in was seamless and within 10 minutes we were in our room! I say room actually it was a Suite! spotlessly clean and with a great view from the small balcony, The suite comprised a Large bedroom, Tiled Bathroom with an efficent and powerful shower, the living room was fitted with a Kitchen and dining area, chairs and sofa, Tv with sattelite channels, telephone with direct dial, large Fridge/freezer and all the Utensils, pots and crockery you would need. nice touch is the Free Bottles of Drinking Water supplied each day, mini bar selection was not expensive compared to some hotels!
We stayed 8 nights at RG and each day the rooms were serviced to a High standard by the maids, who wait till you go out before they start, not knocking on the door in the morning like some automated cleaning service!
RG is a smallish Hotel but the Staff are Great and soon call you by name, Meals are excellent with a emphasis on Swedish dishes,Try the Meatballs!! they are Fantastic! Two Pools Front and rear, and a BBQ restaurant which even has Elvis one night a week !
The RG is situated about halfway between Pattaya & Jomtien but is well served with the local Baht Buses( 10 Baht anywhere in Pattaya)
This means you can enjoy the Hustle & Bustle of Pattaya and then escape to the peace of the Residence Gardens for a cool drink and relaxing dip in the Pool.
So, Would we go again ?, We Would & We Are!
For our American friends, do not be put off by the Low rates quoted at the RG, we have stayed in hotels in New York & Vegas at $200-300 which came nowhere near the Standard offered at the Residence Gardens!
even with the low rate of exchange for you at the moment it still represents Excellent Value for your Dollars!

What a first class hotel the residence is. Compared to some of the horror stories ive heard in pattaya this has to be a real find. From check in to departure, overnite guest policy and cleanliness you wont find better for your baht. Admittedly its central location may not be to all tastes but for a good starting point you simply cant go wrong. The graciousness and freindly attitude of the staff was a real boost no matter what your inquiry or demand was always met with a smile and a can do attitude. Evidence of refurbishment in public areas and upgrades in rooms good to see. I was a 1st timer and found the electronic safe a real boon aswell. security is good as is guest policy. thumbs up all round will rebook next year.

I have made 5 trips to Pattaya and I have stayed at the Residence Garden each time. The only way I would stay someplace else would be if the RG was sold out. Even then, I'd check with them each day to see if something had become available. The staff is very friendly and works hard to make sure your stay is comfortable and trouble-free. This all-suites hotel has true suites: completely separate bedroom and living area, as well as a mini-kitchen if you want to stay in and cook yourself (utensils are provided as well). Breakfast on the patio by the open-air lobby is good and reasonably priced. The all-you-can eat BBQ at the Captain's Corner restaurant, while not a true Texas-style BBQ, is an excellent deal with a wide range of good quality choices. The security guards and I are practically old friends at this point, and one of them even salutes me as I come and go.

The RG is a bit out of the way, but it's just a 10-minute walk or 5-minute baht bus ride into the heart of the town. Its location also shelters you from a lot of the noise generated by the nightlife activity in town. Yes, there may be a couple more elegent properties in Pattaya, but I'll take the RG over them any time.

I recently stayed here and overall enjoyed my stay. This is my 3rd stay at the hotel and this time I noticed a couple of things were different, not as good as last time.

The room was nice and clean although there was a problem with no hot water in the bathroom. The reception staff were very friendly but the waitresses around the pool and restaurant were not friendly. Several times I ate the food and wanted to order another drink or a desert but the waitresses were all together chatting at the other bar. I speak Thai and did not appreciate hearing the waitresses talking about the guests and how fat they are.

The bedroom is noisy with traffic noise and I think the hotel should consider double glazing for the bedroom windows. The TV in the bedroom is very old and the reception is poor.

The wifi was terrible, so slow that it is almost unusable...the hotel needs to invest in faster broadband now.

Stayed in the Residence Garden for 15 days in May and it was great!
The room was actually a suite as there was a seperate living/dining area.
The staff were always very friendly and helpful, especially the cleaners.
The price was very good at 1400 Baht (£21, $40).
The place was very clean with a nice pool in the front. It was a short walk to Walking St or the beach or lots of Baht buses to jump on for only 10 baht.
I would definitely recommend!!

I have stayed here many times, and although it is not flashiest, or most luxorious hotel, it is probably the best value and very comfortable. The staff is very friendly, the rooms are nice and are all suites with a living room and kitchen. The food is also excellent. It has a great location and is very convient.

I checked in yesterday and the one bedroom serviced apartment was ready, clean and comfortable. My only minor, and I mean very minor complaint is that it is a little bit further from the Pattaya Beach Road action then I expected but not to fear, motorcycle taxis and baht busses are everywhere and if you put your trust in the traffic here, you can rent a motorcycle or quad runner accross the street and toward town a 100 meters away.

The clientelle seem to be mostly European with a number of singles and families, no drama what so ever with the dusky maiden in tow on the way back last night and none of the guests hanging around at the poolside bar raised an eyebrow so definitley a good place to stay in this town!

A bit of road construction is presently in the works outside of here but it's not to obtrusive.

Stayed with Family in February.
Usually stay elsewhere in Pattaya but I found a promotional rate for this and it worked out at
1450 Bt per night for a 1 bedroom apartment which is excellent value.

The apartment itself is good. The living area had a large LCD TV and air con and the kitchenette was equipped enough to cook my daughter breakfast every day. The bedroom had its own TV and aircon. Nice big balcony.
We had a room facing the front pool (main road). The road is the main connection to Jomtien so its busy all day. So lets just say it wasn't quiet and you couldn't really relax on the balcony. Also we had to move our daughters bed into our room for the quiet.

The hotel has two very nice pools with plenty of beds, the one on the front more or less abuts the road so its not peaceful, one at the back is ok. The pool area was empty most days

The hotel has appeared to have a nice restaurant but we never tried it, drinks around the pool were reasonable. Staff were very friendly and the hotel had free wifi.

The hotel is on the Baht bus route so 10bht into Pattaya or Jomtien which is no problem in terms of frequency. The Pattaya bus takes you down 2nd Road so is good. Coming back you need to walk to the school at the junction of the South Pattaya road, 2 min queue usually but no problems.

Not much nearby, Family Mart over the road is excellent for provisions, Noodle Bar next door very reasonable and a couple of bars within a 5 min walk.

As stated above the only downside was the aspect of our room, if we had one of the ones in the other building it wouldn't have been as bad.

We would stay again without hesitation and would recommend it to others as you are far away from the madness of Pattaya but close enough if you want to access it.

This was my 2nd trip to pattaya and frankly was not very impresed with the hotel. Had rented a two bedroom apartment for 3 days. The rooms were ok. Very Basic. The hotel is a about a 2km walk from the famous walking street and about 3 kms from the beach. There are many other hotels for the same price and located in much better areas (closer to the beach road). The hotel claims itself to be guest/joiner friendly but thats limited to the maximum no. of people allowed in a room, so say if two people rent out a double or a twin room and even if only 1 out of the two people are physically present in the room your 'guest' is not free. In such a case you need to shell out another 1500 baht!. (which is more than what most 4-5 stars on the beach road charge). The staff otherwise was courteous and the breakfast was good. But considering many more options near the beach i would not stay at this place again. May be good for families who want to stay a bit away from the party scene and yet not be too far from the beach.!!
