Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Stayed here a few days again, good location, nice clean pool, rooms ok decent size, at the moment only 650baht which is pretty good if your on road view a little noisy in the day as major road works in progress, wish there was better lighting in the bathroom it’s dim as poorly lit, that said will stay again on my next trip,,

There is indeed a time limit, but who cares. Before you stands a feast of Thai dishes that are clean, delicious, and with great care! Chicken curry and pork and fish, and so many vegetables! The croissants are excellent! There is a heater that makes them so delicious with real butter and jam nearby. The English tea is excellent, and there is coffee as well with milk. I agree that the workers are not that friendly, but there are some really great people who work there and they are always used to sort of arrogant tourists yelling at them.

I was staying elsewhere in Pattaya and went here to try their buffet breakfast as there were mixed reviews about it. All you can eat (1 hour limit) for 150 Baht. When I was buying the buffet ticket, the cashier complained that I give her a 1000 Baht note. Several choices on offer but not appetising looking. The fried eggs had congealed yolks and looked like they had been there all night. Scrambled eggs were dry but only bacon available was wrapped around chicken sausage pieces. Roast chicken in a sauce, spaghetti & a spicy pasta sauce were also available. Most of the food was cold or tepid at best. The best thing on offer was the coffee and even that was not great and definitely not hot. This is one person who won’t be returning.

We paid upfront for 5 nights in this hotel, we stayed for 2 and wanted to leave! The room smelt awful and are so dirty even after been ‘apparently’ cleaned..! Wouldn’t give us any form of refund for the 3 nights we didn’t stay there, we booked another hotel and left anyway, waste of money save your effort and book somewhere else.

Checked into room 805, originally for 5 nights. Only stayed 2. Both the room and bathroom were dirty, covered in dust everywhere. Bath was covered in dirt, shower curtain was stained. Air con was too loud. When I opened the window, an awful smell came into the room which seem to have come from the generator outside. Came down for breakfast and the food didn’t look edible to eat. Came back to my room, only to be confronted by a cleaner then cleaning my room trying to charge me for a dirty unused towel which was already in the room. My cousin and her family who also stayed in the hotel had to leave after two days, after discovering a nasty smell in theirs. Also we’re not refunded as they complained and stayed 2 of their 5 nights at the hotel. I personally would not recommend Lek hotel at all.

This is my seventh visit to the lek hotel and to me it is as good as it was on my first visit. I have read critics bad comments. One complained that a homeless person sat with him at his breakfast table and was provided with free food by the hotel. Well done lek hotel. If this homeless person had joined me at my table I would have shared my food or at least paid for his. A second critic complained that the buffet sevice was for one hour only. I have seen people availing of the buffet. They arrive at 9am and sit through to midday going to the toilet in between times obviously to make room for more food. To me this is not need but greed. I use the buffet a lot and have found 1 hour more than enough to enjoy the food and leave satisfied. If I was to come back to pattaya another 7 times I would stay in the Lek. The staff are friendly and the manager Ms Kannikar runs the business to perfection. Well done Ms Kannikar. I would highly recommend this hotel for it's friendly management and staff, cleanliness and it's location.

Since I last ate here they appear to have introduced a 1 hour time limit on the buffet. If you want to stay longer you have to buy another ticket. I've eaten in a lot of buffets all round the world and I can't remember encountering a time limit this short before. Dining out should not be rushed. I accept you can wolf down a lot of food in one hour but I like to take my time when I'm eating. I don't want to be sitting there after 57 minutes thinking I enjoyed my salad, then I enjoyed my soup, then I enjoyed my chicken and rice, and now I could just finish it off with a coffee and some cake, but if I do I'll have to pay again. This gets a big thumbs down from me.

Location superb. Mini bar is well stocked and reasonably priced. The value rooms are in the old building and are compact and bijou. The new wing houses the more luxurious rooms and are well appointed. Swimming pool; is clean and room service is par excellence. Make sure you book early as it tends to be fully booked in high season.
