The Cape Dara Resort is located quite close to the center of Pattaya and around 45 minutes strolling to the Walking Street. It's a calm and cosy place to stay in far from noise and crowd of Beach Road and Walking street.

This hotel has private beach with clean yellow sand and water is warm, clean and shallow close to the costal line.
Breakfasts were really amazing and with wide range of delicious dishes both European and Asian cuisines.
Swimming pool was always clean and you can easily refresh yourself after tropical heat. Room had everything that you need and it was cleaned up carefully every day. Staff was very helpful and polite. I definitely will stay in when arrive to Pattaya next time.

Stayed in a corner deluxe room with balcony. Spacious airy modern room with large balcony and sweeping panoramic view of Koh Kraam island, Pattaya city & wongamat beach and lush tropical greenery. The second pool by the beach is much quieter with less crowd. Many IG worthy spots around the beach area such as the glass bridge that protrudes out facing the ocean over the trees. According to the new normal, you have to register one hour slot for buffet breakfast when checking in. Personal tongs & gloves are provided by the hotel at breakfast. Masks must be worn whilst leaving the table to get food and in public area at all times.

On arrival I could park our car in the closed garage at no extra cost. Reception was friendly and our bags were taken care of. We had a beautiful very large room that was quiet and had a balcony with a great view. The bathroom was also very nice. The fridge contained only two cans of soit drink and two bottles of water, it was not a mini bar as such.
Only one restaurant was open where we had a welcome drink and lunch. This was very good (salads). There are two swimming pools. One at lobby level and one more down. Unfortunately neither of them quiet and you are "entertained". There was music I did not want to hear as I like to read and maybe even have a nap and am not there to party. If I want to hear music I bring my own.
For dinner we watched the sunset on the beautiful terrace. An error was made in the serving of the dinner, which made one of the dishes come very late. A singer with a keyboard provided some live entertainment. If you are far enough away, as we were, it is quite OK.
So very nice, but not perfect. Give me a really quiet corner at the pool and the rating will be 5 balls.

A fantastic setting with a pleasant ambiance. However multiple glitches resulted in a disappointing evening. The list: Chinese cuisine was advertised as available. No Chinese on the menu. On seating an order was placed for ice water. The water appeared 20minutes later after 2 additional reminders. There were no napkins - no cloth, no paper no roll of toilet tissue. Spaghetti was requested as the pasta option. Fettuccine showed up when the entree was served. Music was provided by a live entertainer; obnoxiously too loud. 20 minutes after ordering we were informed that 2 of the appetizers were not available. The final bill mistakingly included a charge for one of the non-available appetizers. The food, however, was well presented and quite tasty. The number of snafus, although each might be relatively minor, resulted in a disheartening experience.

Super hotel and very welcoming and luxurious hotel situated on the coast and has a private beach. A few items they need to change to make it it disabled friendly To the front a drop down so a wheelchair can get in as it has a step. The disabled rooms are superb and one item to change that is the bar to the toilet to help you sit or raise is too near the toilet bowl and needs to move about 9 to 12 inches to allow you comfort. The rest of the hotel is easily managed in a wheelchair except to get on the beach One has a lift to the area but then has a stairs to get to the beach. The food is first class and plenty of it.
Highly recommend this hotel and will be going back there again.

Very poor management. We were here for a firework festival and it was crowded. It’s clearly they couldn’t handle thing like this. We had to wait for 45 mins to get our first room and 1 hour for the second room, even the check-in time is 3 p.m. which is very late itself. The waiter at the pool bar had such a bad attitude toward my husband when he ordered a drink. At dinner we had to wait for at least 2 hours to get all the dishes. We had to ask for everything 2-3 times to get it and to ‘not’ get it. When check-out I decided to go early and it was a right idea because after I finished the queue were very very long. And then someone called me that I forgot my charger and told me to contact the front desk. And surely, they didn’t know a bit and told me if I could have a seat. I waited for a while and decided to ask again with another staff. And yes, they didn’t do anything since I the first time I asked till now. They asked me to wait again. The total time since they called me till I got my charger is 22 mins. So, I recommend you should not come here if there is a festival or such a big event if you don’t want to wait, wait and wait. 🙄

No welcome drink upon arrival. Staff were not friendly but helpful. We were grateful that we could check into the room before check in time. The room was nice and free mini bar provided. However, we requested afternoon tea to be served in room - the set was mediocre but the worst part was that tea cup came with the milk stained! Moreover, the picnic set in the evening was such a ripped off. It was 3,000++ baht for some small delights and a bottle of terrible house wine. The quality was bad. I wouldn't recommend it. The breakfast was good, there were several decent options. The concierge provided the best service, they were friendly and helpful.
Overall, it was a comfortable but not enjoyable stay.

Highly not recommend, better looking for another hotel. Have book private pool exclusive room, the service and experience at the entrance are very bad. After we check-in we need to find the room for ourself no one guiding us to our room. No information provide about the room and about the breakfast that we can have, need to call and ask by our own. Note that this room is 10,000 thai baht at the so call 5 star hotel and the service are even worst than some no name hotel.

We stayed (couple plus 15 year old daughter) for a week here. Being just after Chinese New Year, 80% of the guests were Chinese with a smattering of Germans and Scandinavians. Usually our holidays are very social affairs with other families but this one not so. The hotel itself has amazing rooms with views of the sea unsurpassed in their drama. We could see Pattaya lit up at night and the boats and leisure craft during the day. Spectacular. The staff are on another level compared to Western Europe with attentiveness and humility we can only dream of. There are two swimming pools, (we only used the main one) but both are well looked after and idyllic. Pattaya is close by and we spent a few days and evenings touring the shops and bars, though why a taxi driver took us down one particular street we still don’t know. Finally, we had a Thai massage that was part of the package and I really recommend it.
So, why 4* and not 5*? The beach is small and rocky and not really an option while the lower pool is down 70 odd steps. The main pool also only has around 20 or so sun beds, and there must be over 200 rooms in the hotel. There are 8 egg chairs at the end of the pool where sun beds could also be placed, though these are unusable anyway as there is no shade there. True - we always found three sun beds as culturally many of the Chinese guests seem to prefer sitting in a large porch type area. Had this hotel been full of Western Europeans, I think there would have been a lot of frustration. There is also one semi open air restaurant where the food is very good but the menu doesn’t change during the week. There is also an excellent Chinese restaurant inside, but that is not really where you want to go when you are there for the sun. Finally the room did not allow for my personal favourite thing to do on holiday. Whilst the mini bar was complimentary, the balcony is too narrow to be usable. There is no chance to sit together outside with a beer. There is only one chair anyway which is pointless. To me the architect has failed miserably here, the balcony is pointless. Finally the hotel shop is dreadful and does not show that any particular effort has been made to stock it with anything interesting. I don’t know why they bother with it.
So, great staff and at its best a great hotel, but it misses too many chances.
