Centara Grand Mirage Beach Resort Pattaya is celebrated for its serene atmosphere and spotless rooms, with the sea views particularly appreciated by guests. The staff's exceptional service, especially towards families, is often highlighted. Its prime location garners consistent acclaim for beach access and proximity to attractions. While the pool and kids' amenities are a hit, some areas are flagged for needing a refresh. Contrarily, the hotel's value is questioned, with concerns over outdated rooms and high costs.

A high-end resort hotel that I would like to come back to after staying there once has the advantage of being close to the beach, but it does not provide beach lifeguards or effective emergency services, which poses a relatively high risk to marine activities. The room facilities are quite ordinary, with only shower facilities, and no sliding door or private bathroom. Except for family members, it is quite inconvenient if you are sharing a room with someone you are not familiar with.
The drinking water provided in the room is a reusable glass bottle, which is very environmentally friendly. This is worthy of commendation. The hotel staff are very friendly, the poolside bar and grill are reasonably priced. Although it is an extra high unit price for the hotel, it is not too exaggeratedly high.
The swimming pool facilities are very complete. Just staying in the swimming pool can make children play all day long and not want to go out.

I would like to express my gratitude to the Administrator Anna, who speaks Russian, she helped me understand all the issues, she is 5 stars, the territory is 5 stars. 5 star staff.
The hotel is cool but old, you don’t always have time for breakfast in the morning when they are still cooking in front of you. The rooms were already very tired, the shower was broken, there was mold, cobwebs on the balcony, a dirty mesh, a broken air conditioner, the curtain to the toilet was torn. They gave us a branded bag in the middle of the rest, ice at the end of the rest, and they brought garbage bags every other time. They cleaned up well. I hope they will renovate and the rooms will really be 5 stars, for now I give 3 stars for the rooms

We stayed here for 4 nights in August. With the huge jungle-like pool and the attractions at the kids' club, you can have plenty of fun just inside the hotel.

At the kids' club, my child tried making cookies (1.5 hours, 50 baht) and painting a bag (40 minutes, 250 baht). It was a paid activity, but it looked like they had fun with children from other countries.

The family club lounge on the first floor is well-equipped and recommended. We stopped by the lounge for breakfast, lunch, and dinner to take a break. The lounge also has a playroom and a large slide, so parents can enjoy cocktail time while their children play. There are a lot of children having fun, so there is no need to worry like at other hotel lounges.
There is a separate quiet lounge for adults only on the 12th floor.

There are only convenience stores around the hotel, but if you choose the club rules, you don't have to worry about food. If you are not satisfied with the food served at the evening cocktail time, you can add room service.

I have stayed here twice a year before COVID and have now returned after the renovation. We are currently in a twin room, which is nice and clean. The pool with water slides and the pool activities are still great! However, the service at this hotel is drastically different from before and has unfortunately turned quite horrible.

Upon checking in, I was instructed to download their app to request ongoing services. After checking in, I purchased credits (referred to as Free Money / Bath Bonanza) through the app, but I still had to go down to the check-in counter to complete the payment before placing an order for in-room dining, which felt ridiculous. Why didn’t they reintroduce the credit program at the check-in counter like before?

Regarding the spa, the app listed some discounted packages. When I called the spa to confirm whether I could book a Thai massage for THB 1400 without using my credits (the original price would be charged if I applied credits), they assured me that I could. When I asked if I should book through the app next, they told me they could make the booking over the phone right then. However, after my treatment, my husband was charged THB 1800 instead of THB 1400 and was informed that the discounted rate was only available through the app. Additionally, many staff members seem to have limited English proficiency, which complicated communication. It was not like this before!

I booked a spa appointment for the next day at 10 AM and was told to arrive early. I arrived 20 minutes before my appointment but couldn't find any staff there, and the reception didn’t open until 10 AM!

After the spa, I was led to the outdoor resting area, but there was construction on a wooden bridge nearby, with hammering sounds and a burning smell!

We were also disappointed with the breakfast options. There were no noodles in hot soup or traditional Thai dishes, which felt quite lackluster.

The in-room dining also disappointed us. The Pad Thai I ordered was terribly salty! After the meal, the staff came to collect the dishes but left the table messy without wiping it down.

On Christmas Eve, we had dinner at The Coast. It was advertised as a Christmas dinner with a live band, but it turned out to be a guitar and violin duo playing a few Chinese songs. I felt like it was a mid-autumn festival instead. My child and I arrived at the restaurant first, and I asked the staff to hold our dishes as we wanted to wait for my husband. They agreed but then served my child and me the salad starter immediately! Once my husband arrived, we had to chase them three times to serve him the starter. Additionally, I had to ask twice for a drink menu! To top it off, we were charged THB 1900 each for a main course that included only one slice of beef Wellington. We spent a total of THB 5900 for the three of us and ended up with a watery mango milkshake!

Overall, it seems that the renovation did not extend to service quality, and the changes have significantly detracted from my experience.

There's only a swimming pool. Don't expect much room. If you want to look good, you may have to pay nearly 20,000 per night. The thousand baht room is very basic. The minibar provides coffee sachets, 3 bottles of water, cups, and bowls. There are no items to buy and eat in the hotel only. Kiss Club costs money. A room with a game cabinet costs money. You may have to prepare a lot of money if you want to stay here.

The staff at this hotel are very friendly, smiling, attentive and patient. The hotel facilities are also excellent. I like the swimming pool the most. My daughter had a great time. Moreover, the staff will arrange for children regularly and are very attentive and considerate, making it very suitable for families of all sizes. The nearby beach has clear water and fine sand, so the whole family can have a great time. There are a total of 6 restaurants (one of which only provides cakes, breads and drinks). There are enough choices for customers, and the taste is also good! The service is also very good! Overall, it was a very satisfying vacation trip. I will definitely come back to enjoy vacations in the future!

Great hotel. Rest 21.11-2.12 2024g.
I would like to express my great gratitude to the staff: many thanks to manager Anna, helped to solve all issues. The friendly guys who greet guests at the entrance are always with a big smile in the day and late at night))The guys at the towel handout are always positive, too. It's very exciting that the staff is learning Russian! And then there's the man, the guard on the beach, doing his job just as responsibly: he wouldn't let anyone in and was very correct!
It's cool that you can use the app to communicate with the staff: order an iron, ice, etc. in your room.

Writing this review while I’m already checked in and staying here. Travelling with a 3 year old and the hotel has everything for your need and is indeed exceptional in its facilities and if one is at leisure then they don’t need to step out of the resort at all, except for the fact that the most basic rooms have a shower area which is separated only by a curtain, which is a disaster waiting to happen, because at some point or the other the kid will go towards the shower area, and if not careful they can slip and get hurt. Hotel staff refused to accept this as a genuine problem and refused the change my room since the room which has a shower area separated by the door is of a higher category and this we have to pay for the upgrade, which I think is a shame. I have refused to pay for an upgrade for a basic necessity like a door for the shower area for safety of kids. Hence the bad review for the hotel.

I really enjoyed my stay at this hotel. I would especially like to thank the Russian-speaking administrator Anna, it’s very nice that at the hotel you can talk and discuss all your affairs in your native language. I also liked the animator David, who knows several languages, including Russian, and always offers a program for children for the whole day.
The room was cleaned regularly and very well. I would especially like to mention the male cleaner who cleaned room 1603 on 06/03/2024, only I can clean my own house like this, I haven’t seen such cleaning for a long time, everything is laid out on shelves, jars are arranged according to size, laundry is laid out very neatly. This is a master of his craft. Thank you, everything was good.

By chance, or rather because of the incessant rains in Bali, they returned to Pattaya a week earlier than planned. The choice was Centara grand Mirage because it is the best thing that can happen for a family with a child: a huge well-kept green area with many interesting locations, with a water park, a kids club and a swimming pool, sunbeds on the beach. The rooms after renovation, very stylish, with excellent soundproofing , made the best impression. Our week flew by fast. We had to move into a nearby five-star hotel with world renown, where we were in for total disappointment. Anyway, stingy pays twice. Made a willful decision - back!
I also wanted to say a few words about the staff, very hospitable, any requests are fulfilled within 5 minutes. We wanted to single out Anna (reception), a very nice girl who solved our question in minutes, making our holiday unforgettable.
So , friends , no experiments, learn from other people's mistakes :) - choose the best !
