Booked Jasmine again... is this 5th time now? Best value is still the standard room, 700b/night. Great price. You get what you pay for. No luxury but still great, quiet place to sleep next to walking st. Visitor friendly hotel 100%. Really good wifi... safety box and fridge in room... Cheap laundry service and airport transfer. One thing i still dont like: housekeeping force you to leave room at 3pm. If not, forget cleaning. Oh... one more: this is cash only hotel.

This a great place to Stay just off the walking street. The place is quiet and one could get a good sleep. There are local eating outlets within the street ( Soi BJ) and also a 7 -11 and a currency exchange with good rates within a few minutes walk from the hotel. The Bars and the Beach are all within walking distance.

The Staff is quiet friendly and helpful. They do not demand money of you right on Check in. (Faith in the Guest) Gives you the time to relax and pay at your convenience. The WiFi is quiet good. They clean the room everyday and gives you 2 bottles of water too. There is no coffee or Tea Bags as they not have a kettle in the room. But then the hotplate comes in the room.

One could get down at the South PAttaya Stop if coming from bus from Bangkok and take a TUKTUK to the walking street. The locals knows Soi BJ as well as Jasmine Hotel and not at all difficult to locate it.

On the downside: The Bathroom is small. Take care while your shower as you could get hurt hitting your hand on the steel Soap Dish.

Tips:
On checking out you could get a return taxi to Bangkok for as low as 700 B if you go to the main road. Pay as low as a 100 B if the Taxi agents ask for an advance and get a receipt for the money you have paid.

Very nice clean and affordable hotel.
I stayed for three nights, checking in was smooth from the receptionist. I booked the Superior + room which was moderately spacious. The sea view from the balcony was quite decent. Even with being very close to walking street, noise from the clubs was not a problem. Also thankful to staff that quickly helped fixed the broken lock on the door at 2am

it was the worst hotel selected ever in my live and i was cheated by Trip advisor ranking (15th place at that time !!).
I have booked a superior room via hotel's website on 17th Sep as well as a chauffeur pick up service from airport i was lucky that i booked one day only there and from time i reached there i noticed following:
1- hotel area is very smelly and tight ,no car can can enter inside passage.
2- hotel enterance look like an old bar. 3- there were too much mosquito there. 4-wash-basin is outside the bathroom. 5- there is no phone inside room !!! 6- there was no view for hotel. 7- when i asked for a safe, they advised it's full !! 8- it was 2 pm when checkout time and they forced me to pay an extra have day(especially after i told them the truth about my opinion of the hotel. after my bad experience with cheap price hotels, i prefered to pay more and book and lovely nove hotel.
again, please trip advisor, reconsider the way you ranking hotels based on.thanksss.

Response from JasmineHotel1, Owner at Jasmine Hotel Pattaya

After reading this review I was shocked and speechless, and subsequently even more so after speaking in detail with the poor reception girls who were on shift. From the girls I received a totally contradicting version of the actual events then the information herein referred too. With regards to the safe issue the problem was caused by some of our guests loosing there safe keys through this last month, this results in us having to cut open the safes and subsequently rendering them unusable. The issue has not been relevant up until now as we have had a number of extra safes available but as we are more or less quite full these days every safe counts. We have purchased a new block of safes and will install them today. I have also enforced out standing policy to not add any addition costs to our guests, in this actual case we lost a guest who was waiting for his pre booked room due to the late check out. I feel deeply wounded for the harsh words that have been used against the reception girls and the hotel on Trip Advisor, but as I have just reiterated to all our staff “our guests are always right even if they are wrong” and they shall always receive respect, Politeness and understanding from all of us. I check out of a near bye hotel and needed a room for one night. The morning I checked out I took everything from the safety deposit box, counted the money and went to check in at the Jasmine. After checking the room out I decided to place my money in my small backpack instead of the safety deposit box in the room. (bad move) I then went down stairs and asked if they could spray my room for mosquitoes while I was out. I met up with a friend and we were gone for about 5 hours. After cleaning up for some reason I decided to check my backpack and found $450.00 dollars missing from the $1400 I had left in the room. I looked around the room and found the balcony door unlocked. Anyone could step onto my balcony from 2 other balconies because they were so close together. I went down stairs and asked them to call the police and they began to stall. They brought down the surveillance tapes and we watched them, there were a few missing frames. The only person seen entering the room was the woman to spray it, she was in the room for 2 minutes. I was then told if I wanted to talk to the police I would have to go to the police station. I decided it was not worth going to the police station. The odd part is that they did not take all the money, almost like it was an inside job and that they thought I would not realize I was missing money until later. I recommend that people avoid this hotel. Ron from Canada

Responded 30 Jan 2016
Dearest Sir this was indeed very disturbing news, We have been blessed with no thefts since we installed the in room safes and the safes in the reception. We sincerely apologize for the discomfort and loss of your funds, regarding the need to go to the police station that is out of the staffs hands as the police demand that this protocol is followed. I must as a director and owner also state that we have NEVER had any issues with our staff taking any thing from our guests this over the last 11 years, I understand you did not state that the cleaning lady had committed this crime. Please accept our sincere apologies and if you are willing to stay with us again we will offer you complementary stay, last but not least I would also like to use this opportunity to state that Thailand is renowned for its safety and the people for their honesty but also stress to every one who reads this that wherever you my be please ensure due diligence and take close care of your valuables at all times. Paal S. Dinessen. Jasmine Hotel.

Me and my friend stayed there on 5 & 6 September 2012. We just turned up and eventually got rooms for both of us. As we stayed we start discovering that the rooms were Great, Location is Mind blowing just at the heart of 'Walking Street', yet not too noisy, interiors excellent both hotel theme and room. We were in center of all the action all the night. The Room was not too big but not small either, almost everything was there in the room from 2 bottles of water daily to kitchen. Now the top most thing 'The Staff', Amazingly helpful and polite, and good English as well, they not only assisted us in booking tours and transfers they also helped us in getting rid of TV's which we mistakenly caught from walking street. Super Great staff, especially the lady named 'NOO', Very jovial and always smiling. Next Must Stay There Only.

I booked the whole month of September 2011. I have stayed in hotels all over the world that were more than 10 times the price I payed at Jasmine. This hotel is very safe and in the middle of the best nightlife. The free wifi worked fast(even during heavy rain). The staff was the nicest and most professional group I have experienced in years. If you stay at Jasmine Hotel (for at least a week), you will want to move to Patttaya.

I stayed in hotel from 31st Aug to 7th Sep 2011 by booking through their website which is very user friend and you don't require any prepayment. They received me from airport at my request. I have full praise for their professional staff and cleanness of hotel. Hotel is situated at main activity centre- Walking Street. They provide all type assistance to their guests and very friendly and courteous staff. Room rates are very reasonable with excellent facilities with your privacy. I met an accident with fault of mine but they assisted me very well and I have no words for their good gesture. I SALUTE ALL OF THEM FOR THEIR EXCELLENT NOBLE BEHAVIOUR!. This is just like a home out of your home. They dropped me at airport by very good car and that was complimentary. I will come back very soon and will reside in this very good hotel every time.

Features of the Jasmine Hotel:
Location, 50m to Walking Street so you are right next to the night life action of Pattaya.

Would I stay at the Jasmine hotel again – YES

I am a 50 year old Australian male solo traveller who stayed at the Jasmine Hotel during February 2016. I enjoy getting out amongst the local culture, sightseeing, looking through markets, being in walking distance to the nightlife and therefore seek accommodation that is clean and comfortable for the night.

The Jasmine Hotel is a budget hotel, not low budget and I felt I got what I paid for. My room and the hotel was clean but basic, I didn’t stay in my room or hotel throughout the day, so the basic features suited my purpose.

I am giving the Jasmine hotel an excellent rating based on my experience staying there and the fact that the Jasmine hotel met all my selection criteria with no issues. This excellent rating is for a Budget hotel, don’t think this puts the Jasmine hotel in line with a 5 star resort, its not.

My criteria for selecting a hotel is:
• Medium budget, No 5 star or resorts.
• Room above the ground floor.
• Clean bright room with natural light.
• In room safety deposit box.
• Air conditioning and fan.
• Walking distance to night life.

My Review of the Jasmine Hotel Pattaya:
1. Room number 402 on the 4th floor which had a view of the sea over roof tops from the balcony.
2. Booked online direct with the hotel for 950THB/night.
3. Room size was spacious with a balcony having 2 chairs and small table.
4. The balcony door let in a lot of natural light which really brightened up the room.
5. Large sized fridge with 2 free bottles of water each day.
6. Electronic safe in room, large enough to fit a tablet/mini laptop.
7. Air-conditioning and fan.
8. TV.
9. Bathroom is very basic and the basin doesn’t have any bench space, so as a lady it is difficult to put make-up on because of the limited space for storing cosmetics.
10. Room was clean and tidy each day, No feeling of a dirty room.
11. 50m to Walking Street.
12. Motorbike parking at entry to hotel.
13. Hotel staff were friendly, helpful and responded quickly to emails.
14. This hotel has an elevator/lift.
15. Hotel has in room WiFi which I only used for emails and booking plane tickets which was fast enough for doing this.
16. Hotel is within walking distance to the ferry terminal going to the local islands.

Things to Note:
1. Jasmine Hotel is CASH only, that is you can not pay for the room by credit or debit cards.
2. My room faced Walking Street, so the sound of night club music can be heard inside rooms on this side of the Hotel at night. I did not have a problem with this, but if you are a light sleeper it may be a problem.
3. Walking Street is closed to traffic after 7pm, so you can not get to the hotel by car after 7pm and your motorbike will have to be pushed to the hotel.
4. No restaurant at the Jasmine Hotel, but walking distance to lots of eating places.
5. I recommend booking an airport transfer with the Jasmine Hotel which cost me 1250THB and was cheaper than me booking a taxi. The driver was there waiting when I exited International arrivals.

Overall I would recommend this hotel to those wanting to stay close to the nightlife action, my room felt clean, comfortable and had bright natural light, but remember this is not a high priced hotel, so don’t expect 5 star inclusions. If you want a pool bar swimming pool with a drinks waiter at your service, then pay more and stay at a resort. Asia is like everywhere else, you get what you pay for but for my money the Jasmine hotel met all my requirements.
