To be honest, we chose this hotel to be able to see the Sanctuary of Truth from the balcony, and the view did not disappoint. The hotel overall was better than I expected. The room was quite spacious, clean and nice. We also enjoyed the swimming pool and beach bar. The breakfast was decent, not luxurious but also nothing to complain about. The staff was friendly, and our staying here was great value for money.

We stayed for 8 nights at this hotel, in a corner room on the 5th floor, breakfast included. Overall, a good hotel with nice rooms but the location is quite far out.

The hotel does offer a shuttle service but this only runs every 2 hours, starting at 7am until 10.30pm which drops you at the roundabout at Terminal 21 (next to the Dusit Thani entrance, opposite side of the roundabout to T21). We found the shuttle reliable enough, sometimes running a little late and sometimes very full. If it ran every hour it would be much more better. We walked into town sometimes, it probably took around half an hour to T21 at an easy pace.

Our room was great - spacious with views over the Sanctuary of Truth and the sea (note - if on a lower floor the Sanctuary of Truth view would be obscured by trees or a wall). VERY comfortable bed and pillows, nice bathroom with bath and separate shower, in room safe and a fridge. The balcony area wrapped around the corner so was also spacious. The room was very clean and all the furnishings in good condition. 2 bottles of water were provided daily, plus 2 coffee sachets and 2 teabags. I did think the coffee and tea could have been a little more generous, but that's a very minor point!

Breakfast was fine, more Asian choices than Western but a good enough start to the day.

The pool area looks nice but doesn't get any sun. There is a small beach accessed by quite a lot of steps. The beach is fine although nothing special; you can walk around the coast at low tide to other beaches or all the way to Pattaya main beach if you don't mind going over a few rocks.

We didn't use the gym which is in a small building on its own, accessed by going round the end of the pool. We did look at it, it has a great view over the beach, basic equipment including free weights and a treadmill but no water cooler. When we looked in, the air-conditioning wasn't turned on, but I think you could have turned it on yourself.

Staff were friendly, and a special mention to the security guy who always greeted us with a big smile on our comings & goings.

Although we liked the hotel, I don't think we would stay here again unless the shuttle service was increased as it's just a bit too far out.

This proved to be an excellent choice of hotel for a long weekend stay.
The hotel has its own private beach with a beach bar and restaurant. The beach is kept spotlessly clean and is so much quieter and more peaceful than the beaches elsewhere in Pattaya.
The swimming pool was great with plenty of sunbeds for relaxing as well as a lovely cafe for a coffee after your swim.
Breakfast was perfectly adequate although best to avoid busy times which applies to any hotel.
Rooms were clean and very well maintained.
The staff were very pleasant and helpful at all times.
We shall definitely return to this hotel and stay longer next time.

We got bad experience in this hotel listed below:
1. Worst Car Park: only 5 parking slots for this hotel. If full, you need to park your car on public road 100 metres away from the hotel. What a weird.
2. Problem with cleanliness: We got a baby, so requested for a baby cot. The cot came with with bedding sheet having full of pee marks on it. Then, all of the pillows and bed sheet had musty smell. Moreover, the floor was super dirty and dusty. I have mop the whole floor using foot towel before allowing my baby to crawl on the floor. The towel turned out very dirty after moppong. It was horrible to know that the hotel had problem with cleanliness and hygiene, especially during the current pandemic period.

I would just like to point out that this hotel is not located near the centre of Pattaya nightlife or Terminal 21 shopping centre; its a bit out on a limb. The hotel does offer a free shuttle bus to Terminal 21 shopping centre however this does restrict you with regard to timings when you want to return. We got the local truck taxi back a few times but the nearest it drops you to the hotel is along the Nagula Road. After which you then have about a 1/2 hour to 3/4 hour walk back to the hotel so it is about 1 hour from Terminal 21 to get back to the hotel. There is also not many restaurants nearby. The pool or sunbeds by the pool do not get any sun at the time of year we visited and although they say they have a private beach, this consists of just a very small bit of sandy scrubland with no sunbeds or umbrellas although yes you can see the sea. The breakfast is not very western as it consists mainly of asian food with little choice. Also a long wait for eggs from the egg station. On the positive side the rooms are spacious and clean. We didn't have any hot water for a couple of days although when we mentioned this they did move us to a nice room with hot water.

It was a terrible stay. The housekeeping staff was poor. While cleaning a room in our absence they didn't change a bed cover, didn't put clean towels and even cups and glasses were put just as they were. Cleaning was just a formality and I found it really unhygienic. For beverages they don't provide creamer or milk sachet so there is no chance of having tea or coffee in the room.
For breakfast it was the same menu everyday. We stayed for 5days from 29th September to 4th October and we didn't find any change. It was purely thai breakfast and some portions were of American. For vegetarian people they had only fruits or bread and coffee.

Dear Guest, Sawasdee Krup and Greetings from Golden Tulip Pattaya Beach Resort. May I begin by offering a heartfelt personal apology regarding your stay and those elements which led you to award us a “Terrible” score. As Golden Tulip Pattaya Beach Resort, our overwhelming goal is that every one of our respected guests leaves the hotel with a feeling of being completely satisfied with their time with us. Please accept my most heartfelt apologies over the lack of cleanliness in your bathroom. Please be informed that I have already addressed your invaluable feedback with my Housekeeping Manager in order to improve our services and maintain our usual high standards at all times. In addition, our Floor Supervisors have been reminded to pay attention to the condition and standard set up of the room before releasing to the inventory for the room assignment to our arriving guest. I have another discussion with our Head Chef and all team concerned in order to find the way to improve and raise a better level and create variety in the menu of our Food and Beverage. May I end by saying that I truly hope you reconsider your decision not to stay with us again as nothing would please me more than by having the chance to welcome you once more to show what a true Golden Tulip Pattaya Beach Resort consists of. Sincerely yours, Supachai Nuch-Udom Resident Manager

I spent one night here with my friend. This place made me surprised as located on the beach. The room is very cozy, clean and big rooms. You can enjoy with the pool and easy access to the beach also you can see a big church near by the hotel. Staffs are very nice and helpful. Just only a car park is quite far from the hotel but a minute walk. This is a good choice if you need a quiet hotel.

The Resort is at the end of a road so quite difficult to find (then there are only 5 or so parkings next to the Hotel).

Anymore than 5 cars and you have to park a couple of hundred metres away in some dingy looking car parks (they did provide us with a shuttle to and from the parking when we went to ask the Concierge where to park).

The Rooms look new’ish and are quite minimalistic but modern and clean.

Amenities are stingily provided (1 tiny bottle of shampoo and shower gel for 2 people). 2 Large Towels and 1 Roll of Toilet Paper. No Hand Towels or Face Towels were provided.

The A/C in the room was quiet and efficient.

Breakfast was surprisingly good (quite a large spread for the size of the tiny restaurant) and the food was tasty and enjoyable.

A couple of Staff Members woke up on the ‘Wrong Side Of The Bed’ judging by their behaviour and curt responses to other guests in the Restaurant.

The resort seemed to have a lot of Indian Guests that day who Took Over (literally commandeering the place) the small dining room (indoor) at Breakfast Time and were shouting across the dining room chatting to one another (being overly boisterous) with total disregard to other guests. Staff should advise such guests to tone it down and respect others instead of carrying along as normal.

They also have more tables outside to cater for more guests. However, it still gets busy and you have to wait for a table depending on when you get there for breakfast.

Pool looks nice and rustic but didn’t seem very clean at the same time (we didn’t feel like swimming in it).

Lovely small beach beyond the pool with a tree and small bench to one side (we loved this bit the most about the Resort).

In general, it’s an ‘Okay’ Resort, but doesn’t seem to live up to the Golden Tulip Name/Brand.

We would not return here.

Located at end of soi 16 Wongamat, this cafe/bar is located in the golden tulip hotel grounds, down a set of steep stairs onto a small almost private beach. Staff are terrific and has a food variety of food and drinks. The small secluded beach is so peaceful. An added bonus is you can see the Temple of Truth from the beach. Spent several weeks having sundowners here and it was like having our own private beach.

The shuttle runs only every 2 hours from 7am, 9am onwards, until 9pm. The last shuttle is at 10.30pm. It returns from Terminal 21 15 minutes later, i.e. 7.15am, 9.15am etc. No need to book. It actually drops you on the roundabout near Terminal 21, at the opposite side next to the entrance to the Dusit Thani hotel. There are small benches to wait on.

Hi there, I can’t answer your first question. A good friend of mine picked me up from the local bus station. I know there is a direct public bus that operates from the new Suvarnabhumi airport. When is the air conditioning dead silent? Ear plugs if it’s an issue. It never disturbed me. The Resort is well built, and, has it all. Thirdly, I see no reason that this would not suit you. It is far from the maddening crowd, it’s a great place to be, and, admire the views, especially, if you get one of the corner rooms overlooking the water, at the rear. The staff, and, management I can only highly recommend from my experience during my stay there.

Don’t know about the cost of getting Ubers, do they exist in Thailand, and, or, taxis, to the Resort. A friend of mine picked me up from the bus station to take me to the Golden Tulip Resort.I used the motor bike taxis a few times. A 100 baht is way too much. The proper fare is probably around the 50 baht, but for foreigners, the best I could do was 60 baht. Make sure you specify the Golden Tulip RESORT, not HOTEL, as there is another place with this name.
