The hotel is OK, rooms are big but doesn’t feel like 3 star hotel. Breakfast is above avg ( not for a vegetarian, of course every thai hotel menu is like that). However, one of the main front desk person is very firm spoken and looks rude to the tourists. No politeness and professionalism at all.

Outside view is good. Front desk should be changed and needs an obedient and polite to guest people. Requesting hotel to change the front desk by seeing all their reviews.

Value for money budget hotel set in the heart of Pattaya. Set back from the main road meant it was nice and quiet. We had a nice spacious room with a huge bed.
Staff were pleasant and friendly. Breakfast was very good value given the price we paid, with a good mix of European and Thai cuisine.
Only small quibbles were, like all older hotels, there was a lack of plug points in the room and the shower could be a little more modern.
Will stay again .

Golden Sea Pattaya is in a great location on Soi Buakhao. For this holiday, I was looking for a hotel on a slightly cheaper price point and heard good things about this hotel. The room itself is good. However, I'm not a fan of a hard mattress or a shower over the bath. The air-conditioning was also fine. As for the breakfast offering, I can't comment as I didn't have breakfast there. The swimming pool looks great, again, didn't use it or sit by it, as a Bolt to Jomtien is very reasonable and my preferred option. Lots of water was supplied each day, to the point I had to ask them to stop until I had drank some. There was also only one key card available per room, which for me wasn’t ideal as I had a lady who works until the early hours and couldn’t easily come and stay after work, especially if I was asleep ahead of playing golf in the morning. I'd only stay again if the mattress was softer and the shower was better, as it wasn't massively powerful.

This Is our second time at Golden sea hotel and yet again we absolutely loved it!! Nothing is to much trouble for the management if you have any problems always happy to help.
We had a pool view room which was cleaned everyday plus free bottles of water always provided as well. Our family joined us at this hotel at a later date to which the hotel had no problem in giving them a room on the same floor really near to our room.
Always greeted with a smile whenever we walked pass reception. The hotel pool is kept lovely with very attentive staff as well!
Lovely clean hotel throughout which has everything you need right on the doorstep as very central, busy location! Plus very good size rooms with exceptionally large beds.
Thank you all at Golden sea once again for a very enjoyable stay!! 10/10 from us!!

The standard rooms are placed far from the swimming pool and breakfast area. The standard rooms have a very small balcony not really usable. Stone hard non-comfortable bed.

We paid an upgrade fee of 250 Bath per night for a same size room but with a large balcony in the main building. The curtains are not lightproof! The WIFI is good coverage and acceptable speed.

The breakfast area is limited compared to the large numbers of rooms, thus breakfast was not an relaxing experience – many loud talking noisy people all around you. There is no espresso machine for good quality coffees!

The swimming pool is with no direct access from the hotel. You need to walk outside and enter through outside stairs. There is no food and drinks servings at the pool and it is prohibited to bring any yourself !

I visited this Hotel with my family in October 2019. The property is very nice in terms of location and clean rooms. However the biggest drawback was their staff. They were very rude and disrespectful. This is because if we asked for any help like where is the restaurant or recommendations like places to see, they will not even care to answer. Sometimes they wouldn't ever lift their heads to see who is at the counter. You feel humiliated when such things happen. Not at all approachable. Sad to see such a beautiful property with such disrespectful staff.

To be honest, the only positive comments I have on this hotel is the room was nice & spacious & it's in a good location.
The room had poor noise insulation, the floor I was on had a large tour group of Chinese people, when I asked to change rooms I was refused in an abrupt manner.
Also, one of the porters made a very rude comment about my companion.

This hotel is like a jail where everyone watches you and follows your every step. Although I was a single traveler, I’ve paid for two in a room that supposedly fits 3 (which it doesn’t) but they still charged me for every visitor who stayed for few hours, regardless night or day. Although they missed a couple of my male visitors tbh, they certainly hunted my TG friends like hawks, which is pure discrimination. Ridiculous! Although it’s a most common thing in Thailand for visitors to smoke on balconies and outdoor areas like pool, they threatened me with eviction for that! Mind you, it’s in no way a family hotel, I’ve hardly seen any kids, just the usual sex travelling crowds who actually acted rather bizarre. Well, those who agreed to pay that was🥴. Although the whole thing seems semi modern, the quality of the facilities and staff attitude in general is below average. So I suggest you stay away!

I really quite liked this place. OK it’s not the Ritz but has everything you need and is in a great Location. They checked me in early which was great. The rooms are spacious and have all the amenities you need including dressing gown, slippers, drinking water, a fridge and a Kettle. Housekeeping came every day and made sure the room was tidy. The corridors are a bit noisy but that’s mostly due to inconsiderate guests coming in at all hours and making noise. I had a nice big balcony overlooking the pool with chairs and somewhere to dry your cloths. The pool is the highlight of the Hotel, very spacious and a really chilled place to spend the afternoon. (Apart from a single bird that squarks all day and is very irritating). Not the Hotels fault of course! There is a 7-11 across the treacherous soi Buakhao (be careful there). I will definitely stay again if the hotel remains as affordable as it is!

I usually stay in the delux rooms.
But stayed in the superior rooms this time.
A massive difference.
A smaller room, with hardly any power sockets. Bed a little hard, pillows nice.
A large fridge. Stayed 7 nights, not once did I have hot water come through the shower.pressure ok.
A large balcony.
Noise noise noise
From 18.00-02.30, noise from the bars on the main road.
From 06.30-10.00, noise from people going to and from breakfast.
On the plus side, the Hotel is very central to everything.
