This hotel is built in the traditional Thai style wooden building and is situated in a very quiet location on the edge of the town. I found the overall level of service and the quality of the rooms excellent, the restaurant also prepares delicious breakfasts and dinners. The only down side for less active people is there is about a...

This gorgeous boutique hotel is down a lane and turning into the drive is a big surprise. It is built around the original family home, which was built of teak. The welcome was warm and friendly. When we were shown to our room the towels and face washers had been fashioned into elephants. The room was lovely and large as...

We stayed here for 4 nights and it was one of our favorites of the whole trip! The room itself was very clean and cozy. The shower was awesome and the bed comfortable. The hotel is situated a bit from old city but it's an easy 150 baht-200 baht to get a ride from the hotel. The perk is that...

We stayed here for three nights. We asked for a quiet room but it was only the third one they showed us that fit that description. We stayed in the new wing, in a stylish room with a handy balcony and big bathroom. The first night we slept great, but then a loud group of Chinese tourists arrived that made...

This hotel is situated on the outskirts of the city which on the plus side means it is a quiet escape but on the negative side it means you have to get s taxi or tuk tuk in and out. However this doesn't cost a lot. The hotel is built in the Thai style with beautiful teak. The rooms are...

We stayed at this little quiet hotel for six nights. Our room was brand new, well built and decorated. There was lots of hand carved wood, nice tile, and thoughtful landscaping around the property. We used the pool several times and found it quite relaxing. It is not gigantic but we could manage to do 8-10 stroke laps in it....

I can't say enough good things about this authentic northern Thai style teak home that has been transformed into an inn. The owner, her family and staff are very accommodating for our every need. We were in town for a conference and they gladly prepared lunch to take with us and arranged transportation. Dinner in the original house was also...

We loved our stay at the Ruen Come In! They will pick you up and drop you off at the airport, and one time when we were going to hail a tuk-tuk to take us into the city center, the owner herself came out and offered to drive us in her SUV. She didn't even charge us for the trip....
