Loved this hotel. We booked through Small Luxury Hotels of the World and were upgraded upon arrival to this huge room (# 705) that was larger than my last apartment. Big, partially outdoor stone bathtub, nice shower, comfortable bed, large private seating area, stocked bar (and fun self bartending options which changed every day), fresh fruit as a welcome gift, private outdoor patio - you can't beat it. This hotel was very quiet. We brought a white noise machine and never had to use it. Staff is wonderful. The beautiful Ya (who speaks clear and excellent English) showed us around our room and frequently answered questions about the area for us. Another female front desk staffer helped us with a big issue we had with outside laundry service, translating and making sure we got what we needed. This was a huge help to us. Hypoallergenic bed lines are available upon request - just check to make sure that's what they actually put in the room. We had to get them to switch out two down filled pillows, but they did that quickly. There's an iron and ironing board in the room, which isn't as common as it used to be. Bathroom is a little dark, even with all the lights on. Room design is chic. The hotel is in a great area of town within walking distance of some great coffee shops (head to Ristr8to) and some Michelin Bib Gourmand restaurants. It's also right across the street from a hostel that has a fantastic selection of Thai, Vietnamese and Australian craft beers. The pool appears larger in the pictures online than it actually is, and there's not a lot of seating area directly in front of it, but it's a fun design and it's great to cool off after a hot day in Chiang Mai. There's a lovely view of the mountains and a couple of temples from the pool area - just serene. We loved it and wouldn't stay anywhere else when we return to Chiang Mai.

The interior design of the rooms in Akyra is elegant and modern, appealing to the frequent travellers who get tired of the standardised hotel bedrooms. Locating at the semi balcony, the big circular bathtub can accommodate two people to enjoy the friut and drinks. The bath, toilet and luggage area is properly separated from the bedroom area. Its design benchmarks an alternative layout of a hotel room suitable for a pair of lovers. In gist, it is a remarkable journey to stay in Akyra manar in Chiang Mei for 4 nights. Thanks for the services by Anna and Thanya.

The bed sheets were impeccably soft and the bed was just wonderful to and both slept so very well! the staff were very efficient and kind. The rooftop bar played the most wonderful music in the evening and created a relaxed atmosphere. On our day of departure we were taken to be airport by Note in style in an air conditioned spacious vehicle, bottles of mineral water with seats that gave you a massage! The only down side was the pool only had 4 sun beds however most people didn’t use them until later in the day. Italics restaurant was impressive food was stunning!

Magnificent stay in Chiang Mai in this fabulous Akira Manor hotel. The team takes great care of us from the moment we arrive, we let ourselves be carried away and the place is superb down to the smallest detail. The decor is sumptuous, the air conditioning is discreet and at just the right temperature, everything is extremely clean and neat, the bed is very comfortable and the (numerous) pillows are super soft (a pillow “menu” even allows you to choose according to your convenience) , lots of little touches in the room (even the small homemade drink served every evening to help you sleep well), well-stocked minibar. If you need anything during your stay, the team is always available to advise you, recommend places and meet all your needs. The "Italics" restaurant is a pure marvel (the pizza-style rolls..., the spaghetti carbonara...), we enjoy it! The breakfast is grandiose and gargantuan: not to be missed! A big thank you also to the General Manager Christophe Gestin for his availability and his advice, a little icing on the cake: he is French which allows you to speak French even being so far from the country :) one of the best hotels in Chiang Mai, without any hesitation during our next stay we will return there with our eyes closed.

If you're looking for a romantic stay walking distance to everything, then Akyra Manor is your spot. The food at Italics is delicious and the bartender at Rise rooftop lounge is on point. The rooftop pool is unique offering options for memorable photos. Our suite was amazing with an enormous tub (so worth it), ridiculously comfortable bed, and ample space to chill on days when you just want to relax. There were no rooms adjacent to ours, only 1 room across the hall. We never heard them.
I want to give special recognition to the staff. They walked us up to our room upon arrival and then brought up our bags without being prompted. The front desk answers your every concern and can book any excursion you wish to go on. They also offer complementary beach cruisers if you wish to explore by bicycle. Room service usually took less than 20 minutes and any requests like extra water or ice were almost immediate.
Housekeeping was impeccable. She greeted us in the morning and checked in on times to clean our room. She also hooked it up with bottles of water.
The only negative was the bar next to the hotel that played loud music until 11 or 12 each night (we stayed for 5 days).
With that being said, the neighborhood is lively. I recommend checking out Oasis Spa for a massage, Kiwi Burger if you're looking for American fare, Kao Soy for Thai food, Melty Cookie for a sweet treat.

There were 6 of us who stayed in 3 rooms at the end of November for 5 nights. We were upgraded to their premium suite. The suites were very spacious and uniquely designed. The most unusual thing was a round bathtub in the courtyard which is in the open air between the bedroom and the bathroom.

What’s most impressive was their service. Every one of the staff goes out of their way to make the guests feel welcome and comfortable. “Note” who greeted us after we checked in reserved a parking space in front of the hotel for us when we asked if we would have parking space after we return from dinner. This above and beyond service surprised and impressed us. They demonstrated what excellent service means!

Their breakfast was made to order. All items were fresh and delicious. The location of the hotel was in a small quiet street and within a short walk of One Nimman, a busy plaza with lots of shops and restaurants.

Overall the hotel really enhanced our experience visiting Chiang Mai. We thoroughly enjoyed our trip,

Our first time visiting Chiang Mai and we walked in and not only the beauty of this hotel was appeasing but the smell was aromatic! We were greeted with all smiles and this continued throughout our stay. The hotel room was even more inviting and we didn’t even stay in their nicest room that they offer. We were offered a pillow menu with different mists and styles to assure our sleep quality was impeccable during our stay. We ventured off to the rooftop pool/bar where the view and drinks were out of this world!! We did end up adding breakfast for our stay and that was highly recommended. Also, the housekeeping was exquisite and every time we left our rooms they made sure we had fresh water, new towels, and that everything was perfectly placed as if we it was our first time walking in again when we returned. I don’t even want to see what other hotels have to offer in Chiang Mai because I fell in LOVE with this hotel. Thank you to all of their staff for making our stay unforgettable.

Beautiful hotel located in the heart of Nimman! We stayed in the deluxe room, which was lovely and featured one of the nicest bathrooms and showers we've ever experienced. The staff at the hotel, Italics restaurant, and Rise rooftop bar were incredibly friendly and attentive, making our stay even more enjoyable. The pool was fantastic, and we were lucky to have it all to ourselves since it was off-season. We arranged for private airport transfers directly with the hotel (for a cost) via email prior to arriving. The emails were answered immediately and arrangements made to our satisfaction.

Three minor critiques: while the bathrooms are stunning with their glass, chrome, and tile design, there are no hooks for towels or clothing, which would be a nice addition. Also, the ambient lighting in the room, though gorgeous, isn’t ideal for applying makeup or shaving, as the bathroom could use brighter lighting. Additionally, the gym is quite small but functional—it's suited for up to three people at a time.

Overall, a wonderful experience that we would highly recommend!

Akyra Manor is definitely one of the best places to stay in Chiang Mai. We celebrated our 15th wedding anniversary, and the staff prepared a bottle of sparkling wine and gave us a complimentary upgrade to a Suite. The room was very well kept and the large round bathtub, with a view of the mountain, made it extra special.

Breakfast and dinner at the Italics restaurant was also excellent. The Italian food was absolutely delicious.

The hotel is located in the Nimman area, within walking distance to One Nimman and Maya Mall. There are lots of trendy cafes and eateries here as well. We couldn't have stayed in a better place.

A great big thank you to Bank, Oat and Go for their excellent service and friendly smile. They were very helpful in answering our questions and assisting us to make our stay comfortable, enjoyable and most memorable.

At the end of our stay, we were also given a complimentary transfer to the airport, to cap off an excellent experience in Chiang Mai.

Hotel is located about 15 to 20 minute walk from the old town. So it is in a backstreet. It is also pretty close to the Nimman district which has a good range of eateries, markets and modern shops.

We had arrived early and the room was not ready so spent time on the rooftop by the pool just chilling out.

Room
======
The room was clean modern with large bathroom area and comfortable bed. Similar to other reviewers. The light switches were rather cumbersome, and the lighting was overall rather Discrete rather than functional.
TV had about 20 channels that could cover basics like sports food, lifestyle and use in a variety of languages.

Staff are helpful and could refill water bottles at Reception. In addition to the two bottles that were supplied in the room every day in the way UK, US, European style plugs throughout the room, as well as a USB charging point.

Breakfast
=========
Breakfast had a good selection of bread, yoghurt, juice etc, and then an option to select 2 items from the menu.. usually had eggs Benedict, and the banana/Nutella roti.

Location
========*
Was a really good place to explore Chang Mai… Felt clean, professional and welcoming.
