This hotel was booked by our birdwatching guide so location to Doi Inthanon National Park took precedence. As I was not aware of the price, it being part of our overall package, I assumed it to be budget. You certainly can't compare it with the upmarket hotels but you get what you pay for and this was clean and convenient.... More

After reading the reviews on trip advisor before i booked i could also be critical and agree with some of the comments, but for 1250 baht a night in the location right next to doi inthanon national park, what really do people expect. Take a look at prices of hotels in the area, twice the price. We stayed here for... More

Located on top of a hill, it has nice views and well maintained grounds. The feeling is very serene. The cottages are cute, cozy, and clean. The staff are very friendly and speak good English. The breakfast buffet is well done with a large variety of choices (fresh fruit, toast and jam, eggs, many rice and noodle options, stir fried... More

We stayed at Touch Star Resort for 1 night in late December 2015. The place looks nice on the photos, but the resort bungalows are much closer together in reality, it feels over crowded. The reception and staff are very nice, they know their job and were easy to deal with. The room was nicely decorated, clean, comfortable and spacious.... More

I have been coming to this amazing quaint resort for 4 years while photographic friends and I brave the cold to go to the top of Doi Inathon for photograph sun rise then walk the amazing 3.2km walk around the top. This resort is like a second home to me now, so cute with its decorations. We stay in the... More

Shortly before reaching the entrance to "Mount Inthanon National Park", on the right side, there are two resort practically attached to each other. Touch Stars Resort - frequented by tourist groups- offers basic rooms -even in bungalows (negotiating directly you can get significant discounts on the price of the rooms). Decent breakfast. As it does not have a restaurant, you... More

We stayed here for one night in october 2015 in Chom Thong as we were driving the mae hong son loop. Pros: clean room, nicely decorated grounds and quiet. Cons: very average service, very average food, minimal English and we had to ask for a hairdryer as the room did not have one. The food is not that great and... More

The epitome of average - from food, service and rooms. Its one strong point is its location at Doi Inthanon. Still, I could see how some people might like the resort - the classic surroundings and spacious gardens give off a quaint quality. At the under-THB3000 price, it's an OK deal.

We stayed here a couple nights as it was close to birding locations around Doi Inthanon incl the Blossom-headed Parakeet sanctuary. I have bird pics and more details about that on my blog. The bungalows are very cute and have a Thai decor. Mattress is very hard. If you don't like spicy food, the restaurant might be a problem. They... More
