Detailed Reviews
This resort is in the heat of Chang Mi town center. A very quiet relaxing hotel that was opened up by the royal princess. This mini resort is really a good place to escape from everyday life.
We stayed in one of the suites, very spacious, very clean, had lovely aromas, a super big spa bath, and an overall elegant look to it. A great outside space overlooking the property, and a nice bed lounger too.
The housekeeping team really knows what they're doing and is very polite. All staff at the resort are very pleasant.
The pool area for this resort is great, very clean, and has good features. A good place to cool down after day drips in the heat.
Breakfast is located over the road at their off-site restaurant. Breakfast is very simple, and offers you different national types of dishes. Really good. The seating area looks over the river which is great to see while having breakfast.
This resort pretty much leaves you to it, to enjoy your time. I would recommend it to anyone wanting to stay here if you are looking to escape.

We stayed at the RarinJinda Hotel for 4 nights and it was great.
We arrived at the hotel by taxi from Chiang Mai airport in about 20 minutes and were warmly welcomed.
The hotel is located on the Ping River. The accommodations are not on the same side as the restaurant where breakfast is served.
This is not a problem, however, as a security guard stops traffic so that you can cross the street.
All of the hotel employees were extremely friendly and accommodating to us.
We had booked a room on the ground floor with access to the pool, which was really worth it.
We practically climbed from bed into the pool in the morning.
After a long, hot day exploring the city and surrounding area, it was also a pleasure to jump into the pool again before dinner to cool off.
The room furnishings were good.
Not everything was brand new, but functional and not battered.
The bathroom was also clean and in order.
The hotel was very quiet. We suspect that it was not fully booked at this time of year.
The location of the hotel is also ideal.
You can get to downtown Chiang Mai very quickly on foot over one of the two bridges.
There is a free shuttle to the night market.
You should register for this at reception.
The spa is open until late at night.
The breakfast was manageable, but basically everything you need for a good breakfast (even as a European) was there. Fresh juices, fresh fruit, croissants, toast, jam, omelette, etc.
You could also order hot dishes from the breakfast menu.
We can recommend a stay at this hotel.

The resort is away from the old town and Maya shopping centre but within walking distance to Warorot Market (across the bridge). Loved the facility and gardens although umbrellas were needed to move between buildings (room, reception and spa) in the rain. Very tranquil to eat breakfast by the river. Suggest to be more flexible with the breakfast meal size (main dish must be ordered from the menu). Would be better to have smaller serving size with the option to order multiple. Our package included daily one hour Thai massage. The vouchers could be combined and two hour Thai massage included herbal press. Very good massage.

Very nice and big room but completely LOVELY reception service.
The hotel asks for a deposit of 1000THB per night even though we paid for the room before our arrival! We are both 69 years old, are we going to degrade the room amenities?
Before leaving the hotel we order a taxi, for noon, to go to the airport, the reception announces a price of 400THB while we paid 150 THB one way, we refuse this price. We check that the taxi is booked and the receptionist tells us that she has booked a taxi for 11:30am! for 250THB.
The breakfast is okay without more for a hotel of this category, at 140€ per night, I would say that the bread was good.
The housekeeping staff does a good job and is very friendly.

Just finished a great stay at Rarinjinda. What a great find. Beautiful wellness hotel with seperate hydrotherapy pool with 8 massage station. It was highlight of my stay. Beautiful grounds and old teak house made the stay pleasant. Staff were excellent from reception to the lovely fellow at the gatehouse whom helped to ensure you crossed the road to breakfast each day. Breakfast although small buffet was organic and avocado eggs a treat overlooking river life . Best coffee also. Small boutique hotel. Beautiful rooms with bath . 202 was perfectly situated overlooking pool . The hotel has feee shuttle to a different market each night . Cannot wait to return

The hotel is like the oasis in the city with beautiful garden and the national heritage house of the owner. The house is now using as lobby, business center and meeting rooms. The spa located in the front building to provide some privacy for the hotel guests. The restaurant situation on the opposite but with water front. Their security was so attentive to assist guest for crossing the road. The restaurant has the good view of the river and Doi Suthep. It had good selection of wine.
The bed room had pool view with large balcony.

Undoubtedly Rarinjinda is a gem in all aspects of a resort hotel. Though sited a little off the old town, it is within a 15-20 (Grab) ride to most to most parts of Chiangmai. In an area with lots of quaint cafes and massage places, it is a good alternative to the more central/busy areas of Chiangmai.
This is a boutique hotel, small by size but the rooms are surprisingly big. Of course, one could nitpicked the few little flaws of Rarinjinda (or any hotel for that matter) but the beauty of staying in a resort hotel within city limits is simply overwhelming.
We will surely return!

Not 5 star, but very close. Beautiful pool, onsen & spa. Breakfast buffet was good for westerners but not so much for locals. Room with pool access was amazing. Service exceptional and grounds well kept. Location in other side of waterway is close enough to everything but a few mins away from the business.

Unfortunately no-one advised me when I booked that half of this hotel would be closed due to renovation. I was not offered any compensation in the way of a discount or upgrade. There were workmen everywhere.
The rooms are very nice as is the bathroom which is to be expected when paying these rates. The location is lovely, quiet, right on the river and easy walking distance into town and markets.
The pool is small and the sun deck area is tiny and due to the hotel being built in a square in close proximity to the pool it is almost always in shade so the water is quite cold.
The staff are pleasant but not up to the usual Thai standards of hospitality.
There are way better choices of hotels in Chiang Mai at more reasonable rates.

i would suggest that you write to the hotel for clarification.
Yes, it was completed when we stayed there in late December 2016.
My daughter and I thoroughly enjoyed the spa at the hotel. They provide different types of massage and wellness packages. Go to the hotel website and you can see the whole range of facilities available. They are very professional and we feel thoroughly relaxed and refreshed after our massages ( we went there a few times).
When we left early September, they were finishing the refurbishment but it is best if you write to the hotel to confirm.
I don't think they have. But there are cooking classes in town.
