Upon arrival asked for money for a deposit I handed the deposit over and did not receive a receipt, I then checked the booking app just be safe as I was dealing with very unpleasant staff who spoke over the top of me ( couldn’t answer any questions ) I seen that the deposit was for half of what I had handed over after the rough (racist) treatment I then spoke to booking customer service and had advised what was going on , I was told not to stay there if they are trying to get more money out of you So to be safe I took my money back and left

Just finished a great stay at Rarinjinda. What a great find. Beautiful wellness hotel with seperate hydrotherapy pool with 8 massage station. It was highlight of my stay. Beautiful grounds and old teak house made the stay pleasant. Staff were excellent from reception to the lovely fellow at the gatehouse whom helped to ensure you crossed the road to breakfast each day. Breakfast although small buffet was organic and avocado eggs a treat overlooking river life . Best coffee also. Small boutique hotel. Beautiful rooms with bath . 202 was perfectly situated overlooking pool . The hotel has feee shuttle to a different market each night . Cannot wait to return

The resort is away from the old town and Maya shopping centre but within walking distance to Warorot Market (across the bridge). Loved the facility and gardens although umbrellas were needed to move between buildings (room, reception and spa) in the rain. Very tranquil to eat breakfast by the river. Suggest to be more flexible with the breakfast meal size (main dish must be ordered from the menu). Would be better to have smaller serving size with the option to order multiple. Our package included daily one hour Thai massage. The vouchers could be combined and two hour Thai massage included herbal press. Very good massage.

Undoubtedly Rarinjinda is a gem in all aspects of a resort hotel. Though sited a little off the old town, it is within a 15-20 (Grab) ride to most to most parts of Chiangmai. In an area with lots of quaint cafes and massage places, it is a good alternative to the more central/busy areas of Chiangmai. This is a boutique hotel, small by size but the rooms are surprisingly big. Of course, one could nitpicked the few little flaws of Rarinjinda (or any hotel for that matter) but the beauty of staying in a resort hotel within city limits is simply overwhelming. We will surely return!

This resort is in the heat of Chang Mi town center. A very quiet relaxing hotel that was opened up by the royal princess. This mini resort is really a good place to escape from everyday life. We stayed in one of the suites, very spacious, very clean, had lovely aromas, a super big spa bath, and an overall elegant look to it. A great outside space overlooking the property, and a nice bed lounger too. The housekeeping team really knows what they're doing and is very polite. All staff at the resort are very pleasant. The pool area for this resort is great, very clean, and has good features. A good place to cool down after day drips in the heat. Breakfast is located over the road at their off-site restaurant. Breakfast is very simple, and offers you different national types of dishes. Really good. The seating area looks over the river which is great to see while having breakfast. This resort pretty much leaves you to it, to enjoy your time. I would recommend it to anyone wanting to stay here if you are looking to escape.

The hotel is like the oasis in the city with beautiful garden and the national heritage house of the owner. The house is now using as lobby, business center and meeting rooms. The spa located in the front building to provide some privacy for the hotel guests. The restaurant situation on the opposite but with water front. Their security was so attentive to assist guest for crossing the road. The restaurant has the good view of the river and Doi Suthep. It had good selection of wine. The bed room had pool view with large balcony.

With this price I expect it should be better. Maybe the building is a little bit old. Noisy at night as there are several bars nearby. Nice swimming pool and spa. Overall speaking it is nice experience, staffs are very helpful. Lots of restaurants and shops nearby.

I will try to be totally objective. This hotel has positives: 1) The room is beautiful. The dark tones blended very well. The bathroom is gorgeous. 2) The layout of the property was extremely well done. I believe all of the rooms have a balcony that overlooks the pool. 3) The front desk is very helpful. I felt bad for the front desk due to the list of complaints which will follow next NEGATIVES: 1) The first room I was given was on the 2nd floor. The air-con was mediocre. The room did not get that cool. The 3 lamps all require manual switches, which was inconvenient since all the other lights are control by wall switches. The cable TV was horrible. I know. I’m not here to watch TV. However, when it is pouring rain and you’re waiting for breakfast to open it would be nice to throw the tv on to pass a little time. The second room they gave to me addressed most of my issues. 2). WiFi is HORRIBLE. Even in my 2nd room it was better but very spotty during the night. 3) Location for the complimentary breakfast is across the street from the actual hotel. I’d rather not get wet crossing a street when it’s raining for breakfast. Breakfast itself was mediocre. Nothing stood out. Some of the “hot food” was lukewarm. I arrived there at the very start so there was no excuse for the food to not be hot. The breakfast staff was less than attentive. Buffet style should require staff that will take your plates before they start to stack up. 4) Concierge service is pretty much pointless. Their English was substandard. I needed to go to the front desk every time I needed help, which is why I consider the front desk a positive. 5) Management! I’m day 3 into an 8 night stay. I brought up my issues to the front desk at 7:30am on day 2 and they told me management would get back to me when they arrive at 8am. By almost noon I went to the front desk to inquire about the management’s response. They informed me the manager wasn’t even in town. Really?! To wrap up this review I honestly wanted to like this hotel. It truly is a beautiful place. I’m not completely pleased with the location (not exactly conveniently located to town) but I won’t mark it as unsatisfactory. However, there are just too many issues that will make the rest of my stay at the hotel enjoyable. If the rest of my stay wasn’t non-refundable I would be staying somewhere else.

It is my first visit to Chiang Mai. A resort to me has pools, gym and activity rooms. Unfortunately, the pool and gym are small, and there is no activity for children. The good sides are: - Room is spacious and clean. - Staff are friendly and helpful. - Spa and massage are famous (but we did not go there). The good sides about Chiang Mai are that both transport and food are cheap.
