We arrived in Chiang Mai a day too early due to a medical emergency, but the super friendly staff did everything they could to get us a comfortable room and immediatelly helped us find the best hospital in town. Rooms are basic, but really clean and cozy. Also, the location is great: really central but in a quiet (and safe)...

Nice hotel with clean rooms in the old town of Chiang Mai for very reasonable prices. A big plus is the location, right in the city centre close to Sunday shopping street, but in a quiet alley. Bertil and his staff are extremely friendly and helpful. Just ask, because they know all about the possibilities in and around Chiang Mai....

The staff were super friendly and helpful. I haven't laughed so much in ages. The air con worked, the cable tv was ok for some channels but considering that many places in chiang mai have worse cable reception. There were only two English language channels I could watch which was a pity because I paid 500 baht for a room...

Nice location and shared courtyard area downstairs. The staff could have been more helpful/more friendly - they weren't particularly helpful at answering my questions and it seemed as though I was bothering them. Rooms are a bit tired and worn, though it was very clean.

We are in Chiang Mai for 10 days and enjoying the welcoming cool comfort of White House. BP and his family are unintrusive and helpful. Love the honesty system of a range of drinks you just record as you go. Very homely, the garden is very communal. Location excellent. Big thanks to BP.

I can understand that this place is the institution for backpackers visiting Chiang Mai...but i have been to several old timer backpackers hostels that just dont look this bad. The bathroom is quite dirty, but warm water is steady and working fine. But the rest of the place, eg: mattres, sheets pillow, floor, balcony, windows, definitely look as old as...
