Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We stayed in the deluxe bungalow, and really enjoyed the quiet peacefulness. We went to bed with the sound of the frogs, and woke up to the birds. Lovely. Staff very kind and helpful. Very clean, and comfortable. We were looking to get away while still feeling at home. This was it!

My stay at the Romyen Garden Resort was absolutely perfect! If you do have your own bike or car, you are a bit off the slightly stressful town area. The Resort is decent and very lovely! Lovey and friendly staff. Clean and cozy place :) When I do come back to Chiang Mai, this hotel/hostel is a very convenient and comforting choice. They even prepare different breakfasts for you at your time off choice and catering your wishes. The meals are delicious! They made my day every day!!! All the best from the bottom of my heart, I enjoyed it very much and will come back :)

We stayed a week in one of the traditional bungalows which was simpley beautiful. Tim the owner is exceptional, making a special meal for us upon our late arrival. The resort is surrounded by a great variety of trees and gardens. We explored the surrounding area dotted with rice fields on nice bikes that were provided. When we had a minor issue with one of the bikes the locals were eager to help. All the food was fresh and delicious. We would be happy to come back anytime.

Nice setting outside of Chiang Mai but very difficult to find no transport operators know where it is. Very limited staff and poor language skills although owner operator great English skills. Fantastic food. Rooms old style timber, beds ok facilities ok. Wanted rest but left after first night because barking dogs and mosquitos kept me awake. I would try it again.

Surrounded by green, trees, bushes, nature. We liked it, very rustic, simple, but it's what we were looking for definitely, and lived up to the promise. Staff at the reception were very helpful and helped us out on a couple of occasions.

I stayed here for a week, hoping I would explore surrounding areas of Chiang Mai. Romyen Garden Resort is 20 mins from the city centre. Its very easy to get to. Check out the website that has all the information you need to get to her resort. The hotel is soo beautiful esp in the Raining season..so green!! and the weather was on my side. I decided to stay here and relax from my India Trip for the rest of the week. The place is a Gem, I didn't want to leave at all! I stayed in the Dormitory which was spacious and heaps comfortable. Fan was enough to stay cool from the minor heat. Every other day linens were changed. Beauitful Breakfast was served, omlette toast and tomato to congee to pork steak and the so yummy Iced Coffee ++++. You can ask for dinner to be made or ride to the market and buy food!! Heaps of selection...must try the custard crepe dessert only 30Baht(Tim reccomended). Tim is an amazing owner. Plus her many dogs she resues. <3 I used the mountain bike to explore the neighbourhood and it was awesome getting lost exploring. It is about 5-10min bike ride to the nearest 7 eleven. The roads are so easy to ride. No hills, No worries. I have discovered some hidden cafes near by which are open fri-sun 3-6pm. Opened by locals and they are pretty cute!! Highly recommend staying here. Will visit again!! Xx

We loved our stay at Romyen Garden. After travelling from Australia and spending 7 weeks in Thailand our stay at Romyen Garden was by far the most luxurious. We stayed in the 2 bedroom bungalow & the rooms are large and super quiet with air conditioning in the bedrooms and by far the most soft, comfortable bed we found in Thailand. It is situated 20 minutes from the main city in Chiang Mai but transport was simple, there are yellow sonthaews going passed on the main road very frequently and going directly to Warorot Markets just outside the old city centre & back for less than 20 baht each way! Honestly, the draw of this place is to sit back and relax anyway so we hardly felt like we had to leave unless we just wanted to go into the markets and do some shopping. The only issue we had was what we felt to be a little lack of communication regarding whether we wanted lunches or dinners (which were not given unless asked for & we did not realise this at first), how to do laundry, how to get into the city, where local restaurants were if we chose not to eat at the resort & where any local covenience stores were located. Although this wasnt a huge issue, the staff did not speak English so every time we had a simple question we had to get the staff to find the owner to come and answer our questions and we did feel like we were being a bit of a nuisance. This really could be solved by just leaving a welcome pamphlet in the room with general information and FAQs and a note at breakfast where you can let her know if you require lunch & dinner that day. Despite this, we highly recommend staying at Romyen Garden Resort. Tim, the owner is lovely & speaks very good english, the staff are cheerful, friendly and helpful despite not being able to speak any English. The rooms were large and comfortable and the gardens were beautiful. Breakfasts were included & had a variety, we got a rotation of american style bacon & eggs, french toast & thai style rice soup with fish. All of them included coffee & were delicious. The highlight of our stay by far was Tims cooking, Each night for dinner we were served two HUGE plates of local Thai cuisine cooked from scratch by Tim and every single mouthful of it was delicious. I think it was some of the best food we had in the whole time we were in Thailand and really was a huge treat. If you are looking for somewhere quiet to relax & eat like a king, this is the perfect place to stay!

We stayed there in november 2013. the place is a real garden, a lot of plants everywhere around make this place perfect spot to relax after a noisy city of Chiang Mai. It's a bit far from the city, but there is completely no problem with transportation. It takes about 20 mins by yellow bus. The owner is a great woman, who helped us with arranging some trips to the jungle, gave us a ride on a scooter to the bus, and also cooked some traditional thai food for us. For me it's just perfect!

I have travelled extensively through SE Asia and this was probably the best place I stayed at. The grounds are large and well looked after, set away from the busy areas so it is quiet and homely. The owner (Tim) is very friendly and will go out of her way to make you feel at home, and give you insights into the Thai way of life. I highly recommend staying here, and am sure I will return.
