This is a gem. Tucked away down a side street the hotel welcomes you with a smiling car park manager, guiding you into the parking entrance. Once in, the 30 or so room hotel surrounds an oasis of a pool, protected by beautiful trees and shrubs that provide much needed cover from the sun. Loungers are enough for the guests, and are probably the most comfortable we’ve ever experienced. Very warm jacuzzi pool sits in the middle of a cool water giving you options on a “plunge” pool Rooms are delightfully decorated with comfortable beds. Bathrooms are a little on the small side for a 6ft 6 chap and the shower is missing a rain shower head to stand underneath. And a tower trail would be a useful addition. That said, it’s comfortable and had a fantastic balcony over looking the pool, and dining room. Food onsite is very good, and bar is lovely and cool but does close early at 10.30. Hotel manager came out to speak to guests regularly and explained it had recently reopened after refurbishment and there are still one or two things to be finished, such as the gym, which was closed for us. Great restaurants near by give walking options if you don’t fancy tuk tuk into town. Fantastic rustic coffee shop, and a cookery school are also great options to hang out. The wonderful staff of the hotel round off a fantastic place to stay in Chiang Mai. We loved it, plan to revisit and couldn’t recommend it highly enough.

if you go to Ciang Mai, this is really the hotel to stay. It is a surprise: you are welcome in this place close to the ancient city, but in a very isolated and quiet area. This building is in pure classic Thai style, with a swimming pool in the center, many well-kept tropical plants and perfect rooms, where no detail is overlooked. The staff is very kind and helpful, like the owner of the property, who personally checks that everything works very well. the restaurant is available for breakfasts, lunches and dinners with fresh and quality food. What can I say? If you really want to enjoy a special stay and relax in a unique environment when you return from beautiful hikes in the mountains, in the city or from the fascinating shopping in the various markets, this is really the place to be!

What a wonderful little hotel! The staff are so incredibly kind and helpful. The hotel grounds and rooms are beautiful in every way. The food is fantastic. They’re maybe 10 minutes drive from the old city area, where I think most of the tourist activity is, but they have a free shuttle that takes you right there and also to the night market. They’ll also call a car for you if you need one :) It’s nice to be a little ways away because it makes this hotel a true retreat. It’s so quiet and comfortable and relaxing. I just can’t say enough nice things! We so thoroughly enjoyed our stay here.

Lovely environment, great food and very friendly staff. Myself, my wife and 3 children had a great time here in Chiang Mai at the Puripunn Hideaway. A short walk from a lot of the sights in the city. We would definitely go back again in the future.

Very rarely can I write as passionately about a place to stay when away from home as I'm about to write.. This superb hidden gem of a hotel is in a very quiet and very unassuming location. This is around 5 minutes away from.old part of chaing mai by the free one-way hotel shuttle bus service.. offered by the owners...( you pay for return journey via a taxi or use bolt..)around 90thb... As you begin to arrive near here, up small backstreet alleys, you begin to wonder if you've actually got this very wrong...??? Well..no you haven't got anything wrong . What you find on your arrival is pure peace and tranquillity.. Staff are absolutely a credit to the owners.. So polite, caring, and so professional .. Rooms are varied in size, and having returned to stay before heading back.home after our holiday I have to say, the ground floor pool side rooms are very impressive..nothing wrong with the upper floor rooms, we stayed in one of these on.last stay here and they to are very comfortable, just a bit smaller in size.. all the rooms appear to have a balcony area, which is a pleasant space to chill.out with a glass of wine as the sun goes down for the day.. There is a pool area with a warm jacuzzi in the middle to relax in after your swim.. Pool depth is 1.5mtres ..but the water is cold in the pool itself. Jacuzzi is very warm.. There are around a dozen poolside lounge beds that are of a superior quality with toppers on top for your comfort... There is a restaurant in the hotel, and having eaten some of the cusine I can highly recommend the tastes and quality served to your table.... Breakfast is varied and delicious .. There's a separate egg station that a lovely lady cooks fresh omelette, fried eggs etc.. As I've written, we have now stayed there twice during one holiday and it really is peace on earth.. A very hidden gem.. A couple of points for consideration ... 1...although children are most welcome to stay here, the pool being cold and no child amenities to keep them occupied, may not benefit families staying here if you want such items as water slides or suchlike.. 2..the area around the pool side has tiles that are unfortunately slippery when wet.. My wife slipped on the said poolside..and hurt her back.. 3..there's no lifts to upper floors but the staff are very helpful in terms of carrying luggage.. But people with disabilities may find this particular hotel, a struggle to climb stairs.. Apart from these points, this hotel is wonderful..

We had a lovely ground floor room which was a very good size with a massive bath! It takes a long time to fill but is worth it 😊 The pool is good but quite cold although refreshing. Breakfast is good and all the service is excellent. It is hidden away down a quiet residential road which makes it peaceful at night - make sure you take the business card or a photo of it so the tuk tuk knows where you want to go to get back!

Absolutely delightful boutique hotel run by a local family. The decor was beautiful and the service was great overall, with friendly staff. We loved that it was quiet and located a bit outside of the city and didn’t mind walking in or using a Grab ride. They missed housekeeping one day, and our laundry pickup with it, and I when I discovered it they arranged for quick cleaning of my clothes. They were also helpful in arranging our airport transportation for our family of 5 at a lower cost than a Grab would’ve been.

As I am a world airline traveller I know 5 star hotel standard in the whole world. I have to say the Puripunn is a special real hideaway. The moment you walk in you feel more than home. The place is created with so much love and care from the owners - a real cosy dream. Thee is also a beautiful shuttle bus bringing you in 10-15 minutes to the city. The pool is a relax oase in the middle of the place. The service and the rooms are high standard either the superior as well as the garden deluxe rooms.

It is an absolutely astonishing hotel with outstanding design, comfort and incredible personnel. It is located close to the historic city centre. If you are looking for a place to stay in Chiang Mai, I cannot imagine a better place to stay! Also, if you are a BMW youngtimer fan, you had to have a chat with the lovely property owner! :)

My partner and I stayed at Puripunn for 4 nights and loved it. Such beautiful buildings, decoration and plants! On arrival we were greeted with a complimentary juice each and someone to take our bags. Rooms are lovely, Lanna style dark wood, lovely patterns lots of lamps and and furnishings. We did find there wasn’t tooo much storage for clothes but we made it work just fine. And the pool is lovely, I read reviews saying it’s freezing - it’s only a little bit chilly until you fully get in and then it’s a lovely temperature! Great after a hot day 😇 or the hot tub is warm if you need to relax. We didn’t know there is a shuttle bus that you can request to take you into the local town (night market etc) at certain times. And if it’s not busy and you ask nicely they can take you outside of those times. It’s free and saves a walk! Restaurant is also great, breakfast was wonderful- a great selection of continental cold food, fruits, juices, cereal, hot western food and hot Thai food. The bar area is also very nice, small and intimate but nice cocktails and snacks. Finally the highlight of our time here was the staff. So welcoming and nice, it’s only about 30 rooms here so staff know everyone really well. Very polite, nice to talk to and helpful. The owner is very accommodating and let my partner see his vintage cars and take photos etc with them. We would come again and recommend to all who want a beautiful boutique hotel.
