Really loved this place a lot more than I thought I would. Coming from standard hotels and "resorts" in Thailand with amenities like toiletries, shower/tub, TV, etc., this was still my favorite place I stayed. Mountain View Guest House is located near the North Gate of the old city. It's very affordable and there is something really peaceful about the...

I was staying in a boutique house nearby and stumbled upon this restaurant which caught my attention with its beautiful mini garden outside. There are not many tables but each has its own style, with different deco on the tables. The variety of food is good, ranging from western to thai food. The coffee is also good. I love the...

Some of the staff are the same. Miss Dang always glad to see me and take my reservations on the phone. I always get a Deluxe room. The fan rooms are sparse but cheap and safe. Good location for catching a tuk tuk and the restaurant is convenient for making friends and meeting people. You can find cheaper nearby and...

As I recall, I have been here three times....and if I would go again to Chiang Mai, I would horrase them with my stay. I was studying ancient Thai massage each time for four weeks, stayed in a cheaper lodge and the most expensive one upstairs. In the beautifull garden with ponds, your breakfast or lunch is served and oh...

Nothing spectacular but simply good value for the price you pay in a place like chiang mai. Just inside the old city near the northwrn gate we actually found it quite easy to get around the old town. Most taxis and tuk tuks we took knew where it as who have was very convenient. Overall good services like lockers for...

we slept here for a couple of days, the staff was really friendly, especially the younger employees, the rooms were nice (for the amount we paid, 700 baht if I remember well). Some rooms have a very low water pressure, our favorite rooms were the ones in the back of the restaurant. Lockers are available free of charge, also computers...

Our stay was excellent! We were recommended to the guesthouse from a friend and would recommend it as the place to stay within the Walled City of Chiang Mai. It sits right by the middle north end of the Walled City so it's easy to navigate throughout Chiang Mai. The rooms themselves are a steal - 500 baht for an...

I've stayed here several times over the years. Very friendly staff, wonderful courtyard/atrium for eating or chatting with gorgeous plants and even a little fountain and man-made stream running through it (you might not know it's man-made until you look closely!) Food is good but closes by 6pm. Best for breakfast or lunch. Rooms are a bit rustic, but single...

We stayed here a full week and were very disappointed. Service was horrible - you feel like you're bothering the staff by ordering at their restaurant. Most are extremely unfriendly as well. Rooms are below average as our room had constant geckos in it and holes in our ceiling. You don't get fresh towels daily and it seems all they...
