We booked in after reading the positive reviews on Trip advisor, but were disappointed in what we got. The staff are lovely and helpful, it's clean, air conditioned and the wifi is fast, but that's about it. There are heaps of mozzies, especially around the pool and the reception desk. We booked a double room, but got the suite. I'm...

I loved this place. I'm 5'9 and I could completely stretch out in the tub. It was awesome!! The room was beautiful! The pool was peaceful and relaxing. The staff was helpful. Highly recommend this place! They have bikes you can use for free. We rode to the markets and all around the town. So to me this was a...

I don't normally write reviews, but on this occasion I thought this hotel deserved it. The hotel staff were very welcoming upon check in and even met us from our taxi which had parked up the road from the hotel, due to a night market being on. The hotel has a laid back feel and is like an oasis in...

Tri Yaan Na Ros is a converted antique building, now a welcoming guesthouse - the front entrance is on a narrow back lane while the rear entrance is via the entirely pleasant cafe/restaurant. The rooms are on the small side, but they are gorgeously appointed and welcoming (and you didn't come to Chiang Mai to spend the whole time in...

The guest house appears to be converted from the traditional home of a wealthy family; it has beautiful trees and landscaping including a (small) pool. The location is five to ten minutes walk to the city "square" boundary and close to a local market for buying fruit. The room was traditional and well presented with everything generally working. The staff...

The reveiw title says it all. We stayed here for 4 nights in March. On arrival while checking in the guy took 15 minutes to eventually sort us out while all the while we were being eaten alive by mozzies. Then when we got to our room (which was advertised as "Features pool view" - it had no veiw whats...

First impressions, very friendly welcome, beautiful grounds and speedy check-in. I was on a group tour with 11 others but bagged a room to myself here. We stayed here on two separate occasions in our 2 weeks in Chiang Mai and the first room I had was in the back building and was simply stunning and much bigger than expected....

Hotel is right on Saturday walking street market, only 10 minutes by walk from south gate of old city, and up to 10 min. by taxi from airport (flat rate 120 TBH). It is located in lush green garden, in few separate buildings with total of 8 rooms. Open air reception area/lobby and poolside is in one place. Pool is...

“poolside rooms are convenient but doors must be kept closed at all times because the mozzies are around in swarms near the pool.”

“Be aware that the rooms in the rear part are painted red and therefore are a bit dark - this is a part of the authentic concept. The front rooms are around a nice courtyard with doors to the pool. I personally think the upstairs rooms are the nicest.”

“If picking a guest house in Chiang Mai, pick something within walking distance to night market or centre of town as Chiang Mai is very pedestrian friendly. If choosing a room at this hotel, opt for the double, pool facing rooms on the second floor (I think they might be the best ones)”
