We stayed in Libra Guest House for our entire stay in Chiang mai. We were given very good information on the area and things to do when we arrived, night markets, tourist sites, places to eat, treks, cooking class etc. The room was very clean, comfortable, provided with towels, very good wifi and very good air con (which is very... From the time you arrive Dow and her family make sure you are comfortable and get the information you want. They sit down with maps and get you comfortable with the city immediately. When Dow heard a special interest I had in Thai elephants she sat down and shared amazing local information and insights. They support 2 sister elephants in... More

We were picked up at the airport by Libra staff. They let us rest and unpack before getting into registration. They were very helpful in helping us plan out what we could do and even made arrangements for us. they have a kitchen, though we ate out. they even waited up for us before closing the gate. Nice place to... More

Stayed at Libra Guest house and had a really great time! The staff were extremely helpful and helped set up any activities we were interested in (cooking class, transportation to temples, etc.). Everyone was really nice, and the owners had awesome recommendations for things to do in Chiang Mai. We did a 2 day 1 night Jungle Trek through this... More

Two friends and I (all Canadian) stayed at Libra Guest House during May of 2016. Our experience with the guest house has been fantastic! The rooms are clean and comfortable, the location is quiet but close to everything, and the staff are exceptional. Great English and great personalities - the guest house has started to feel like our home in... More

Libra Guest House is centrally located in Chiang Mai, and quieter than some of the party hostels in town. However, the owner herself is enough to shut the place down. She verbally abused me and my friends, immediately labelling us as "bad" and treating us terribly for the entire 5 nights we were there. There is a strict no visitor... More

I've travelled solo for 6 weeks and Libra Guesthouse was my absolute favorite place to stay. It's family-run with a very friendly ambience. My room with a fan was simple, albeit slightly run down but exceedingly bright and clean. Breakfast (not included) was excellent. I appreciated the free water refills and fair price for beer and soda. I highly recommend... More

The staff at the Libra guest house made my stay in Chiang Mai absolutely incredible; they were nice, out going and helpful in every way imaginable. The rooms themselves were clean and comfortable and blew my expectations out of the water, next time I'm visiting Chiang Mai there is no doubt in my mind I will return here to have... More

I have stayed at guest houses all over the world, including in Thailand. Even the most modest ones in this country had a fridge and provided free water bottles. And the owners were nice and helpful. Not so at the Libra guesthouse. First, no fridge and no water - we had to buy every single bottle. The room was so... More

Stayed here because my brother and his girlfriend told me about it and said how Doi, and her family were so welcoming and they weren't wrong!!!
