Stayed here for two weeks while in Chiang Mai and have no complaints! It's obviously not for those looking for a more backpacker-y vibe or a nice hotel, but it's clean and comfortable, the staff are extremely friendly, and the location is pretty great!

My subject line pretty much summarizes it. Don't be deceived by the condition of the lobby. The rooms have not been renovated in 30 years. TV broken, fridge as well. Bathroom full of mould, hairs from other people, etc. The rooms are smelly, dirty and absolutely neglected. The aircon is so loud that sleep is virtually impossible. Many options in... More

o Pretty good service. If you need any transport, just head to the reception desk. o Feels just like home. o Close to airport. Approximately 15 minutes by car. o Average 20-30THB (0.80-1.20SGD) per person to the city. x English level 2.5/5 i. I was there in a suite room of 601. The room had a queen sized bed for... More

Me and my boyfriend were in Chiang Mai deciding our hotel and we picked YMCA because of the pictures and the great description. However there was NO POOL, the city is super hot so was quite frustrating when we got there and there was no pool. The room was ok, really simple, no luxury, air con and a frigobar.

My family and me were 5 nights in this hotel and we didn't like it. The hotel is from the 70's and the decoration looks that they didn't change it since then. The bathroom it was pretty dirty and the tub had duck tape to cover a crack in the tub.

This is a very dated hotel, though very clean. I was here for 2 nights for a work meeting, and ended up moving on my third night to a neighboring hotel for a change of scene. Whilst there was nothing 'bad' about this hotel, there certainly wasn't anything great about it. The interior hadn't changed in at least 20 years... More

The location was great because it was close enough to attractions without being right down in the old city. It was still convenient to walk to most things and it is very close to Central Department store and about a 15 minute walk from the new Maya lifestyle mall. The hotel is older style, but clean, large rooms and great... More

Simple, basic, clean, and quiet place to stay for visiting Chiang Mai and around, and the price can't be beat! Two adults, 2 kids, we each had our own bed in the 4 bed dormitory room plus our own bathroom and shower. The room also had a small tv, refrigerator, and bottled water provided each day. The front desk is... More

The YMCA International Hotel worked out great for me for a six week stay. My room was comfortable and cleaned every day. Great value for the long stay. The staff were very helpful and friendly, and I enjoyed talking with them. During my stay I was in class daily from 8 to 5 so the quiet of the evening was... More
