On the last two days of a 21 day trip with my youth, the 12 member team wanted some test and relaxation after a grueling schedule. We found that at the Park Hotel at an exceptional 900 baht per night from Agoda. Service was excellent. We requested 6 bedrooms with 2 beds each, which was granted. Our rooms were clean with comfortable beds and very clean bathrooms. They have free breakfast with so much variety (see pictures). The youth enjoyed the rooftop pool. They give you free water and snacks. There's a shuttle to the Night Bazaar which we didn't need but was awesome that they would have that. There is free hot/cold water refill in the hallways. Masseuse service in room too if needed (didn't use that). Staff were really friendly and work to fulfill your needs. These little details make it to the 5 star service list for me. I will definitely stay here again.

This was a really lovely place to stay. The staff were very helpful and friendly and nothing was too much trouble for them.
Our rooms were very spacious and very clean and comfortable.
Breakfast was really lovely and there was plenty of choice of fresh and cold continental foods.
The swimming pool was good and there was a bar by the pool.
The hotel was conveniently placed to take a TuK TuK down to the night market and evening entertainment. There were lots of bars and places to eat near the hotel and also a really good jazz bar 2 minutes walk from the hotel.

The staff of the hotel is very hospitable. Always ready to walk extra mile for you. In several days they become your good friends. Almost all of them can speak English. Can advise you regarding many different issues.
The hotel is clean. The food in cafeteria is very good. Most of the food is cooked in a traditional Thai way but if you do not like the Asian food you can always find something of western type. A very good hotel for a reasonable price. When I stayed there the hotel was full. Most of the foreign tourists were French.

We stayed 5 nights at The Park and it exceeded all our expectations. It was 4-5 star service at 3 star prices. Rooms were spacious, comfortable and clean. Buffet breakfast was sumptious. Service from the staff at every level was really excellent. We enjoyed four dinners at the 2nd floor coffee house. The ala carte western food was good especially the steak. It was 5 star meal at 3 star price. The location is quiet and situated 5 minutes away by taxi from the Anusan night market.

On 29 January 2018, there was a fire on the second floor of this hotel (in the kitchen of the restaurant). It was around 9:30 pm. I realized something was wrong about 10:00 pm, when my room on the 9th floor was full of smoke. I looked out of my window and saw ambulances and firemen outside. Then I realized the fire was in the hotel.

1. The fire alarm and the smoke detectors, if any, did not work. The sound alarm, if any, did not work either.

2. Nobody called me and nobody knocked on my door to tell me there was a fire. I called the reception but there was nobody there any longer.

3. The signs to indicate the emergency exit were unclear. On the third floor we did not find the way out and we were really scared. Thankfully the people outside saw us and somebody came upstairs to rescue us.

Result of the fire: smoke inhalation, one night hospitalized at the Central ChiangMai Memorial Hospital, and one week on antibiotics (1000 mg Amoxycilin every 12 hours for one week to avoid infection in the respiratory tract).

The next day the hotel reopened its doors, as if nothing had happened. Is this normal? The hotel should have checked its fire security measures to know why they all failed before opening again.

This is very unserious and dangerous.

In addition, the hotel is far from the city centre, the furniture is old, and the boy who takes care of the swimming pool upstairs doesn´t do anything and cannot be more unfriendly.

I do not recommend this hotel. Don´t go there. In case of fire, maybe you won´t go out alive!

The rooms are spacious and it's about ten minutes from all the Chiang Mai activities, but what makes The Park great is the amazing staff. Everyone smiled and greeted us and went out of their way to make sure we had an amazing stay. Staff members walked us to our room, brought us a care package, and called to check that I was feeling well when I missed breakfast. They were also incredibly helpful with holding our luggage, accommodated a late checkout, and arranged a shuttle to the airport. The breakfast buffet was delicious as well. Completely recommend.

I was here with my boyfriend last month and didn't know what to expect when we booked this hotel but we were nothing but pleasantly surprised. The room was nice and bigger than we imagined. The location is perfect. The staffs were amazing. No matter what time of the day they were happy and eager to help. Mr. Paul was especially wonderful. We would be happy to recommend this hotel to our friends and definitely come back here again next time;)

Last week we have stayed in the Park Hotel Chiangmai.
We were greeted by mister Paul. He arranged a nice room for me and my wife, and my sister, who did arrived a day later.
The first day we received a bag with several cakes, peanuts and drinks.
Every evening when we came back there was fruit in our room(s).
We also used the breakfast in the Park Hotel (on the second floor).
A very good service was given to us and the food was excellent.
Thanks to all. Especially mrs. Mon and mister Paul (1) and mister Paul (2).
The last days of our stay in Chiang Mai we will comeback to the Park!!!
WE LOVE THE PARK VERY MUCH. THANK YOU ALL.

The hotel is quite nice, with friendly staff, beautiful entrance hall, and pretty breakfast hall. But, even though the staff is friendly, I didn't feel that I was welcome there.
The room was ok, but quite shabby, especially the bathroom. The receptionists were not very helpful in terms of sightseeing - the only advice I could get re going somewhere was to take a taxi. The Internet access is available for 50 baht per 3 hours, even though the booking site I used said that it's free.
The hotel is located away from the city center - and thus, from all the places of interest and restaurants, - 20-25 minutes walk or 5-7 minutes by tuk-tuk. The walk is through several not so pleasant streets. They also have a complimentary shuttle bus to the night market in the evenings, but the timetable didn't suite my needs, so I've never used it.
First thing you see when entering the room is a note, saying that everything in the room is for convenience of the guests, but not for taking away. And a long price list of every item in the room, in case someone wants to buy it. Yeah, you can buy a plain glass ashtray from the hotel. Duh!
There is a variety of choice for breakfast, but with all that variety, almost nothing I would really want to eat. And to get your breakfast you need a stamped coupon with a date printed on it. As if I wanted to have this dull breakfast twice a day.
I know, these are small and unimportant things, but they really made me feel uncomfortable and unwelcome, as if the hotel sees me as a potential cheater and thief. Not a place I'd like to visit again.
