Can't beat the location, the welcoming staff, the delicious breakfast, or the generally relaxing vibe of the place. They are meticulous about creating a pleasant atmosphere. The one issue: we stayed in one of the cheaper roms, and it basically was just large enough to fit the bed and not much else--pretty cramped and a bit dark. But you can...

Tamarind Village it's totally what they say: a secret sanctuary in the heart of Chiang Mai. It a very cozy hotel, the staff is very nice, the food is tasty, and the rooms are very comfortable. They have very nice details, for example: for our honeymoon they offered us a complimentary thai massage. Also they bring you every evening a...

We stayed in a charming room with courtyard access. It was plenty enough for three of us girls. One really big day bed and a bed for two, it was really comfy. We had to wait for our room for quite a while, because we arrived early, but it was comfortable enough to just sit in the lobby area and...

My wife and I stayed at Tamarind for six nights in a Deluxe Lanna room. The room was obtained from the Tamarind website which included breakfast and in-room wi-fi. We were greeted with a cold drink and cold towels. Check-in was fast and efficient. We arrived early so we had to wait for our room to be vacated and prepared....

My husband and I stayed here 3 nights. I found the city of Chiang Mai to be a disappointment from what I was expecting but this hotel was a wonderful oasis away from the streets of the city. The service was impeccable. Our room on the first night was next to an area where roosters woke us up (luckily we...

We stayed 4 nights in December at this remarkable inn. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, the staff very accommodating. It is a beautiful, old fashioned hotel, one can imagine rajas and princes resting here on their way upcountry. The decor felt like Thailand-spicy, soft, bright and welcoming. The restaurant was so good that people came from all over the city...

My husband and I visited Tamarind VIllage for 4 nights of our honeymoon following lots of recommendations from friends. We were so blown away by every aspect of the hotel. It's a stunning, and traditional Thai 'village' right in the heart of busy Chiang Mai, the gardens provide privacy as well as a sanctuary for wildlife, as soon as you...

A really interesting hotel - different from the large groups. It had real atmosphere, the staff are attrentive and cant do enough for you. Rooms are very comfortable - with wicker wardrobes, all very well equiped. They leave a folk tale on the turned down bed each evening and offer a city walk at 9.30am each morning. You take food...
