A calm tranquil oasis in the middle of chiang mai. Not a boutique hotel but its charm is in its simple basic traditional style. Centrally located in the centre of the old town near all the temples. Staff very helpful always smiling. If I had to choose this hotel or a posh boutique hotel the Tamarind wins any time.

The Tamarind is a perfectly placed and beautiful hotel. I would not call it Boutique, the word is being used for anything. It's an hotel in the center of the city with two stories houses where the rooms are. The place is very nice, yet the rooms are very dark and filled with 'stuff': magazines, little bowls, glasses or whatever....

Dear GengisKhan75, Greeting from Tamarind Village. Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback with us on Trip Advisor. We apologize that our property did not meet your expectations. We would say however that we are absolutely a boutique hotel in the true spirit of the word: an independent property that is cozy, intimate with a strong sense...

I stayed there with my mom for cerebration of mom's birthday in Chiang Mai. I sent email to ask several requests in advance and they did prepare for them well. There was only one thing made me sad that they could not extend our stay as per the high occupancy...but that was not their fault ... The other part, everything...

The tamarind was fabulous, more like a spa hotel then a boutique hotel. From delicious welcome tea and cold towels to the robes and toiletries in the bedrooms every details here was beautiful and thoughtful. The staff were the nicest and best we encountered in our month in Thailand and Cambodia. They were really brilliant and couldn't do enough for...

Tranquil petit and delightful hotel in the middle of the hub of the area. I recommend the free city walking tour provided by the hotel takes about 2 hours but info and sights are great. Breakfast is your typical buffet and egg station but small amounts provided regularly so feels and tastes fresh all the time. Rooms are compact but...

This hotel is a gem in the heart of the walled city of Chiang Mai. Fabulous location. Plenty of cafes and restaurants within walking distance. The famous Sunday market takes place on the same street yet its set far back for you not to hear any of the hustle and bustle. The hotel itself has a serene setting. It has...

We had two rooms for four nights at this hotel at the start of our holiday in Thailand and loved it. Can't beat the location, the welcoming staff, the delicious breakfast, or the generally relaxing vibe of the place. They are meticulous about creating a pleasant atmosphere.
