Peaceful and old style hotel in the heart of Chiang Mai. Very positive and nature feeling. Great location. Great and tasty dinner with my friends in Tamarind restaurant. Staff was helpful and nice. Don't have any complaints.

After spending time in the busy, hot, humid , vibrant town of Chiang Mai, returning to the Tamarind Village is bliss. It is very tranquil, peaceful and has a calming effect on an overstimulated travellers' mind. The perfect place to recover for the next expedition.

Do not hesitate staying here. I'm trying to figure out how and when I can come back again! This hotel truly holds high standards for hospitality, one of the best in my experience. The property is meticulously cared for and is tucked within the Old City's walls. Walking through the entrance almost transports you to a different place of serenity...

This hotel was so charming and quaint. The staff were great and very informative. Our room was gorgeous and in the style of Thai Lana with traditional touches which I loved. Also really clean. Definitely recommend the village walk the staff run everyday to visit local points of interest and take part in a monk offering. Great location too, 15...

This place was great! The location right in the middle of old town was perfect. We were able to very easily walk to all of the temples, and tons of restaurants! The hotel is very charming and has a traditional feel that I loved, but was still new, clean and updated feeling. The grounds were beautiful and lush and the...

We always enjoy smaller hotels which offer something tranquil, even in larger cities. Chiang Mai is not a small town, but the Tamarind Village with its internal gardens, tranquil surroundings and modest entrance is a good find. You are greeted with a sit down at reception, a cooling towel and fruit drink while your room is prepared. Staff are humble...

Tamarind village really is like a peaceful, yoga-like oasis in the middle of a very touristy little city. It's right in the middle of the historic area, where there are temples everywhere and bikes for rent everywhere. It's a bit far to the infamous night market, but it's conveniently located for just about everything else. The service was fantastic- the...

The hotel has a great location, it is very quiet and we got one free massage for our honeymoon. The staff was also very friendly. We were also close to many good restaurants. The breakfast also has many options. Cons: the room is not too big and the windows don't open too much, but that didn't bother us at all.

Pros: Traditional nature with good quality, happy staff and good food. Cons: Wouldn't change anything Location: Within the city walls, plenty to see regarding the Thai culture. Excellent location within the old city walls. Traditional style Tamarind village with pool and fantastic restaurant. Daily free activities organised by the staff, Ms.Kanchana Kaewsi the concierge was most helpful and we very...

Nice small hotel with friendly staff and top services. In short distance to the middle of Chiang Mai, yet calm and quiet. There are also a lot of cafes and restaurants around, if you like going out for dinner or just a drink. And lots of temples of course.
