We paid 450baht a night for our room and had a good stay. The location is excellent which is its main selling point but we had a few problems here. We were moved 3 times due to broken air conditioning; one room was so loud theres no way the other two adjacent rooms couldnt have heard it! Once we got...

I visited Chiang Mai in the weekend. Booked another hotel for 2 nights, but after checked in I found its condition was not good. So I stayed one night, checked out and booked Home Place Guest House. It offered very good service and good price as well. No breakfast is offered, but there plenty of restaurants on the main Street...

Double rooms were 400 Baht, and Twin rooms were 500 Baht. This hotel is well located on Thapae Soi 6, close to the intersection with Thapae Road. It's quiet, but close to the action. There are other hotels available in this price range that are a little bigger and nicer, but they are a little bit out of town, for...

At 300 Baht for a small room with fan, at first glance this place seemed reasonable. Until you turn on the shower and it's a trickle, plus other defects too numerous to mention, the worst among them the attitude of the staff, who pretty much couldn't care less. We were even refused access to a toilet after checking out &...

The Home Place Guest House Chiang Mai is flea infested and totally filthy. They show you the room and at a first look it seems fine, right? It's only when you try resting on the bed after a long day of travel that the fleas get stirred up!! And they really chewed on me. I was scratching the bloody flea...

The water pump was extremely LOUD at 6 AM! It was right next to my room and I couldn't sleep. The sheets smelled like heavy SWEAT, perfume, and... saliva? I guess the Home Place Guest House just never bothers to wash them. There was a lot of noise next door all night, loud music and yelling. I think a bottle...
