Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The place is nice, the room is a bit small as other people mentioned in other reviews but it is very functional. The reason why I am writing this review is that it is worthy sharing that the people running this place are the most honest people I have ever encountered. I had forgotten my engagement ring in the room when I left, we were already on our way to the airport and the lady of the reception called the taxi driver to ask him to come back because she had found my ring in the room! She totally saved me!! Thank you!!!

This is a beautiful place to stay if your a couple looking for a peaceful setting in the middle of the center of chiang mai! Clean, comfortable, modern wood framed rooms that give a wonderful feel of space and style. Air condition rooms are the big and airy with lots of natural light. This is my first choice if I want to make a memorable impression on that special women in my life without breaking my bank account. Right in the old historic part of chiang mai and easy walking/bike riding around town.

Minimal stylings, great location, and nice property - with many cats (and kittens) included. Really nice staff, although you don’t see them often (which might be what you want!). Located on a quiet street, with great cafes close by and very convenient for exploring the city. There’s a wat down the road and it gave the impression of a more “normal” life in Chiang Mai compared to some other areas of the Old City. Would definitely recommend for convenience and ease!

We did our research and from the reviews and photos this place certainly showed it was going to be a great holiday with 11 days at this place. WRONG!
The room was very small - if you had a shower the bathroom floor was all wet - trip hazard. I was woken at 4am with the smell of sewerage...my friends had laundry delivered to the hotel and it wasn't given to them, we had to go and ask them.
We all checked out and found a place with huge rooms, customer service +++ and views over a Wat.

Not really much to say about this hotel only you should stay here. The rooms are comfortable and clean, staff were helpful and very friendly and it is well placed to walk into the centre of town.
Loved our stay here and would without any doubt book again.

It was a great quiet spot for my short stay in Chiang Mai, walking distance to most points of interest, and friendly young staff. The room was nice and comfy, although a bit small. I didn't get to eat there, as my schedule was tight and fell outside regular kitchen hours, however, there are plenty of good places to eat nearby. The only thing I thought could be improved is to offer payment via credit card. Still, it was worth the detour to an exchange counter.

This is a beautiful little "hometel", built in the style of an old Thai house on one of the pretty little side streets in the old town. The staff are friendly and hospitable: you really feel like you're staying in their house, and they are always ready to help you out. The rooms are quite small, but I wouldn't really let that put you off since they are so nicely furnished and the important parts, i.e. the bed and the bathroom are actually quite big. I stayed on the 3rd floor and there was a lovely view over the rooftops to the mountains. You can rent bicycles and motorbikes on the same street so getting around is no trouble.

We actually stayed there only one night because we originally booked on an hotel in the same street and when we decided to extend our stay of one night ours was full.
This hotel is absolutely gorgeous with a nice garden and big rooms for a very cheap price! Basically better in any aspect and cheaper than our previous place, our only regret was obviously we haven't stay here the whole stay.

In the hustle and bustle of Chiang Mai, there is a quiet respite in the Werun hotel. It's on a side street, so traffic in minimal. One can even see the monks walk silently by each morning, as they collect alms.

The manager "Kuhn Gop" is a delight! He will help you in any way possible. (I got a sprained ankle while on vacation -- and he even made special accommodations for ice.) Also... He's a wizard at setting up side trips -- at the best possible rates.

Comfortable beds!! Great location within walls of old city!

We stated for 3 nights. The room was perfectly sized with air con and a wet room style bathroom. There's nothing to complain about. The staff organise/provide free water, maps, tours and buses for onward travel and are generally helpful. They can even arrange for a private driver to take you to Pai. The room was very clean and nothing but perfect for our stay.
