The hotel is desperately in need of investment throughout, there is a lot of empty & wasted space. The advertised spa is permanently closed & the wifi was very intermittent and non-existent for over 24 hours. Whilst our room was big, the bathroom was really old, there were a number of lights not working, the wardrobe door were broken and...

Second visit in a year and I did say I wouldn't come back, due to to the bathrooms and most rooms needing TLC, which is exactly what many other TA comments said. I can't say as we were that impressed with the breakfast either, when you see how much is in offer. However the location is perfect for where we...

This hotel was amazing. As you enter from the parking area, it has the feel of a palace. The staff speak some English, so communication can be a challenge, but don't let that stop you from staying here. It is very clean and the rooms are very nice. It has a pool and nice lounge area. The concierge was very...

Have been at the Chiang Mai Plaza before. If you like older traditional hotels, this is a decent choice. The furnishings in room are old and could use renovation but are quaint although some might call them antiquated. Counter service is dicey and you are not getting that in house upgrade that other Thai hotels give. I requested a double...

on the down side...the staff are really grim and grumpy. One understands that the front desk is under siege from customers and walk-ins all day many of whom can't speak any language known to them...but it's still a pretty poor experience. Bathrooms are tired, old and small....water gets too hot too easily. internet so so, not terrible though as reported...

Nice value for the money you pay, but Hotel has terrible internet connexion and in general bud sound isolations. Still you can feel Thai hospitality and excellent location. even live music in evening and night.

Maybe it was the time of year but the place felt very. The reception is amazing though, a grand entrance that was short lived when I had my first night. The room was more than adequate but the walls were very thin so I could hear the crying baby in the room next door. Wifi also kept dropping out which...

Booked this last minute for 2 nights. Decent location, 15 minute walk to old town walls. Huge complex, I imagine back in the day when it first opened it was a very luxury place. It's still nice now, but in need of some modernisation. Feels like you're walking through a museum at times. However, the pool was very good, quiet...

I had five nights in this hotel, starting on New Years Day. I liked the location - just around the corner from the Night Bazaar, but not in the thick of the noise. I thought the room I had (on the 6th floor) was fine - maybe to other people it might seem dated, but I didn't really see it...
