Arrived to a nice welcome and our bags were taken to our room.

The hotel reception is very modern but the hotel itself is in need of refurbishment, especially the carpets, bathrooms and stairwell.
The room was a good size with 2 bottles of complimentary water for your first day. Should you need a hairdryer, shampoo, shower gel etc, these are chargeable.
You have a bar of soap, dental set, shower cap and cotton buds which are complimentary.

The switches for the maid and do not disturb do not work but this is not told to you, we had to ask at reception.
The location of the hotel is perfect! In the middle of the night markets and over the road is the night bazaar. Chiang Mai comes to life at night, so much to see, drink and eat.

The restaurant for breakfast is a nice room with plenty to choose from. Muesli/granola would have been nice or a change to the cereal choice.
Staff very friendly and helpful.
I would rate the hotel as a 3/5 star but 5/5 for the location.
Pool area is small with few sun beds.

Went as a family of 4 adults on a private tour and stayed here for 3 nights. First night was lucky as we were bumped up to deluxe room as the hotel was full for it's superior room. The remaining two nights we were given superior room. Couldn't feel any difference between the two, probably a tiny bit more room space to walk in the deluxe room. Housekeeping standards is good, towels provided are clean & stained-free & service is fast when requested an extra toothbrush set. The breakfast provided had variety & was really well-prepared. Hardly do I ever comment on hotel breakfast as it usually is just average. The hotel is also located conveniently with a supermarket less than 5 mins away. There is also a night market within a 10min walk. Easy to get transport (tuk-tuk, taxi, Grab etc.)if you wish to travel further distance. Hope the hotel can continue to maintain their high standards & this is an accommodation worth returning!

Fabulous hotel in a superb location, in the middle of the night bazaar which runs every evening from 6 pm. The staff in this hotel are exemplary, obviously led by a very pro-active manager. I completed an interim online questionnaire during my stay and commented about no tea/coffee sachets in the room and within minutes a member of staff delivered teabags. I also said I like muesli for breakfast and they didn't serve it, next morning bircher muesli had been made for me. Room smaller than some of the other hotels we stayed in but this is usually the case with city hotels. The bathroom had a shower curtain which clings to you while showering, it would be better if a glass door was fitted or if it had a heavy duty shower curtain weighted at the bottom. Very good hairdryer. Well done Dusit Princess, if we are ever in Chiang Mai we would certainly return to your hotel.

The Dusit Princess is in a good central location right across the road from the main Night Bazaar markets and shops, and is near lots of restaurants and other shops as well, the location is pretty good.

I highly recommend checking out the Kalare Night Bazaar for eating out, it is a 2 min walk further down the street but it's well worth it. The food there is much much better than the main Night Bazaar across the road. It has an awesome food court with many different food stalls, serving amazing quality hot dishes for low prices, you can recognize it by all the yellow chairs inside.

If you are looking for a self serve laundromat, there's one across the road under the McDonalds.

And if you're looking for a great Thai massage, check out the one called "Chai Massage 2" its down a small side street alongside the McDonalds across the road, but it's the 2nd one down the road, see photos below.

The hotel has friendly & helpful staff and a lovely entrance area, the restaurant is good and has a quite nice breakfast offering with many different foods.

The room was a little small though, but it had a bar fridge and desk as well. The bathroom was really tiny, it was a little bit worn looking and could really only fit 1 person at a time. The pool was fine, and the gym overlooks the pool. The gym had 2 treadmills, a cross trainer and reclined bike, and a few cable machines and benches, as well free weights, and a toilet as well.

There's also great shopping at the Central Festival shopping mall, about 10 mins taxi ride away, it's a modern mall with some great shops and dining.

If you're there on a Sunday night, definitely take a walk to the Walking Street night markets about 10-15 mins walk away, and enjoy!

We had a three night stay in February. We thoroughly enjoyed the hotel from its friendly staff, excellent service and great location.

Breakfast buffet in the mornings was very good with plenty of choices.

Lounge coffee shop was also very good we often would get a take away to take with us on our daily tours.

Stayed here for 2 nights as part of group tour. Location was good next to night markets. Room was unclean thick dust on light shades and furniture, room was in need of redecorating very shabby, the bathroom also left a lot to be desired mould around tiles.
Breakfast had a good choice for both eastern and western tastes.
Hotel had a pool but I didn't try it out.

Situated right in the centre of Chiang Mai. Check in was very simple and quick. Depending on traffic, about 15 minutes from the airport. Room was not enormously big, but it was not small either. Bed was very comfortable and the room was clean. 2 complementary bottles of water every day. Breakfast was very good, plenty of choice and variety. I had dinner on one night in the restaurant, and it was really nice, and not expensive. Concierge was very helpful, and I made a booking with her to go to an elephant sanctuary. It was an afternoon tour, about 60 minutes away by minibus. Lovely experience. There is a swimming pool, but you need to be down early to reserve a bed. The staff were very, very friendly, always smiling. There is a lovely place in the foyer where you can get coffee/pastries/ bites to eat. Foyer itself is quite big and airy and bright. At night, the streets outside the hotel come alive, and the hotel is excellently located for many of the night bazaars. I was in room 703, and could not hear any noise at night. Of course, there are many massage parlours located around the hotel. Overall experience? Excellent, and would have absolutely no hesitation in either returning to this hotel or recommending it. I stayed for 5 nights.

Location is good near the night market but I do not recommend staying here! Carpets in the room and hallway are dirty. Sewer smell in the bedroom even after changing it! Plumbing leak that did not get looked at. Breakfast buffet is lacking for vegetarians even after notifying them! Definitely not worth the money we paid! Would call it a 2 star hotel!

The location of this hotel is great. In the middle of night bazaar area. What really stand out is the front desk staff. She helped me to secure a suitable room for my elderly father. When we missed breakfast the next morning, they prepared a breakfast box for us on very short notice. Breakfast buffet is good too. Will recommend this place.

You are about a 15 min drive can not remember seeing any tuc tuc but taxi are very cheap. You need to get a price off them before you get in, but don’t forget to haggle. At a guess you could be looking at about £5.00.
