Had a super great time here! The rooms were dreamlike, the price was quite cheap and everyone welcomed us in the nicest way we've been welcomed in Thailand! Will stay again the next time when in Chang Mai!

My husband and I stayed here in a villa for our five year anniversary trip. Not only was the staff extremely friendly but we felt like family! They accommodated our every need, helped us contact tour guides, booked spa days, tours and drivers. The room we stayed in was magical. Clean and updated but still rustic and charming. Tucked away...

I would not change a thing about this place! The rooms are amazing and the staff was so warm and kind. The grounds were beautiful, and that breakfast spread was beyond yummy and interesting. And the tuktuk was always there waiting to zip me wherever I wanted to go!

Oh boy, it took me some time to write the review...It was our 4th time in Thailand but the first stay in a true, authentic, gem of accomodation like BaanBooLoo in Chiang Mai. We are in love with Thailand and Thai people and this place encompasses the best that Thailand has. So, to start with the beginning, I booked this...

I almost cancelled this Chiangmai vacation because of my ongoing identity theft problems. But Baan Boo Loo was very patient with my indecision and in the end I decided that I would go, I don't really want to book in a regular Western looking hotel. I also favor family run accommodations. It was "love at first sight" for me when I...

We decided to give it a try after reading all these good reviews. Unfortunately, we were not able to rate our stay as great experience compared to our other stays in Chiangmai and the incident we had on the last day. The guest house is not too far away from Wat Prasingh but you may need to look for it...

Dear Sir We completely resent your libellous accusation of dishonesty - especially regarding a simple matter of booking a taxi. Why would the owner bother fabricating something like this about a taxi. What profit is there in doing so? None. Not a single Baht. FYI : A songtel or red car or even a tuk tuk is considered a REAL...

A fully-equipped and well-run guest house, featuring country-style Thai decor, located in the heart of the old city of Chiangmai. Each guest has their own private, air-conditioned lodging, breakfast is included, and other services are available on request (we needed a local driver). The owner speaks English fluently, and offers excellent advice on how best to explore the city and...

Don't even think staying somewhere else. If you want the real Thai hospitality experience, you have to stay here. The owner and his family will take care of you as the only guest they have. The breakfast is fantastic, a real Thai experience! And the room, couldn't be better, Thai style with a huge bath tube (and we got the...

Where do I begin?. The place was a slice of paradise. It was gorgeous, unique, and the staff catered to every need. After arriving late at night, we were able to just go to our room and check in the next morning. The next day, we sat down with the manager, and he helped us plan our entire trip in...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
A unique small Thai country village style guesthouse with surrounding wooden villas, hammocks, country garden, outdoor lounges with lots of arts and wood carvings. Visitors should be aware that this is a very natural setting. There are many kinds of creatures in the gardens Some bathrooms are semi open air and mosquitos are omnipresent as in the most part of Chiang Mai. We use mosquito netting in bedrooms as well as using air-conditioning, fans and mosquito repellents and creams free of charge. Guests are advised to wear loose fitting clothing with long sleeves and leg coverings in the early mornings and early evenings or to use a good strength anti mosquito spray. Sunny daytimes are mostly mosquito free. Hard to believe but BaanBooLOo Village seems completely cut off from the noise of the city centre yet is only 15 minutes from Chiang Mai International Airport. It is without question the quietest location in all of central Chiang Mai. We are in the central historic Old City Inner Moat area just 5 minutes walk from the major landmark Wat Pra Singh temple known by all in Chiang Mai. We provide a comprehensive and hearty Thai and International breakfast from 7am until 10am. We do cater for early start breakfasts and special dietary needs. Guests are recommended to discuss any special needs upon check-in. We have a quiet policy after 10pm as these are wooden houses and respect for neighbours is paramount. We also have an outdoor late lounge area with music and drinks until around midnight which is separate from guest rooms to avoid sleep disturbance. There are late night bars, jazz club and eateries all within 20 minutes walk or a short tuk tuk ride for around 100 baht. Most venues are open until around 1am. A handful are open until the early hours. Our concierge service includes helping guests to plan activities/spas/trekking plus advice on events in and around the city. This service is impartial and is included in the room charge. We would never recommend tourist service companies with animal cruelty reputations. BaanBooLOo Village is a 'green' environmentally friendly organisation evolving gradually. Our long term goal is to create a green oasis in the form of a living museum in the historic old city walls. ... more   less
