Situated inside the the old city wall and moat and in a residential area. The room had limited hanging but plenty of cupboard space. Complimentary shower gel, shampoo and conditioner, but they weren’t very good and resorted to using my own. Breakfast adequate for a short stay with a variety of choice for all nationalities. They also made omelette, scrambled and poached eggs on request. The restaurant and bar shut up early around 9pm if not earlier when no trade, but that is probably due to the location. I didn’t mind, because our room overlooked the pool and bar, so it was peaceful in the evenings. The fish pond that ran around the inside perimeter had carps and very chatty frogs. There were not enough sun beds. They would better changing the huge ones they gave for more slimmed down ones and fit more in. Complimentary pool towels.

I arrived early in the morning, so I couldn't get into my room, but they kept my luggage for me.
They said I could get into my room from 2:00, but they let me in even at 1:30.
My room was on the edge of the third floor, so I couldn't see the pool, and instead of a balcony, there was a chair at the entrance. If I didn't close the curtains, I could see everything from the outside, but it was fine if I closed them (lol)
The inside was clean, and I liked that I could watch Netflix and YouTube on the TV in the room.
There was always someone in the pool, but it was open from 9:00 in the morning to 9:00 at night, so I could go anytime.
There were about three massage parlours on the road in front. There was a 7-Eleven just a short walk away, and the Sunday market was also right there.

The hotel is in a great location. It is inexpensive and the rooms are okay. We had a room on the 2nd floor that was spacious and had lots of drawers and closet space. The bed was hard and uncomfortable, but that has been the same in all SE Asia hotels. I would say to bypass the breakfast as it wasn't very good and there are lots of cafes around that serve way better coffee and food!! The pool and surrounding area is great...but the service is non-existent! There is always at least 3 people working that just stand around in the restaurant. They never come and ask if people want a drink or clear away the empty glassware. We had a pool day and were enjoying a few Chang in the 36 degree weather... and had to go and get our drinks every time. I feel like no one has explained how customer service works.

Stayed at De Lanna for 4 nights. Location is wonderful, within walking distance to most old city attractions and walking street. Pool was refreshing, some pool towels have seen better days. Breakfast adequate. Spacious room with comfy king size bed. The only let down was no hot water after our first night. The tap fixture fell apart, it was late at night but maintenance came quickly to fit as we could turn the tap off. He was nonchalant so expect this is a normal occurrence. Sad to say we never had hot water after that. Didn’t want to cause a fuss so had cold showers for the rest of our stay. Also we have read that hot water is not guaranteed in many Thai hotels. Even the De Lanna hotel compendium warns about this as they are trying to be “green”. Average stay but not too bad in the grand scheme. We were booked to return to stay after our brief trip to Chiang Rai but decided to cancel and book somewhere else.

I recently stayed at De Lanna in Chiang Mai, and it was an incredible experience from start to finish. The hotel is beautifully designed, blending traditional Thai charm with modern comforts. The staff were exceptionally friendly and went out of their way to make my stay memorable.
The room was immaculate, spacious, and well-appointed, with a cozy bed and all the amenities I needed.
The location is perfect – close enough to explore the vibrant Old City and night markets but tucked away in a peaceful area. The breakfast was a highlight, offering a mix of delicious Thai and international dishes.
I can’t recommend this hotel enough and will definitely return on my next trip to Chiang Mai!

When we arrived at this hotel, we were shocked that we had booked a hotel so nice for the price! It was a quick grab ride from the airport and check in was smooth. The mattresses were incredibly comfortable, and the room/bathroom was beautiful. The hotel was also a great location to walk around for restaurants and to explore nearby temples. We enjoyed relaxing by the pool during the day, and the hotel leant us pool towels for our day trip to sticky-waterfall. The hotel also arranged a cab for us to the airport for our early morning flight.

We had a reservation from Happy Tour agency for a triple room for three nights. The room was unbelievably small and could not even reach the toilet which was behind the door of the bathroom. The view from the door room was a technical room for hotel services. Rooms are old total under the standards even of a three stars. We don't know how this is rated four stars. It cannot be. We asked for a bigger room as my friend could not reach the toilet but we have been denied. So we had to move in the Honeymoon suite at 3.000 bath (kindly discounted from 3.900 bath) which I cannot imagine how this can be a Honeymoon suite. Poor newly married if they happen to stay there!! We would never recommend this hotel. Breakfast is in line with the style of the hotel.

Not the worst hotel we have ever stayed at. In 40 years of travelling it’s in the top 5. The hotel is on a very busy road and the rooms have absolutely no soundproofing. Staff are noisy and music is piped through before 7 o’clock but that really doesn’t matter because you have been awake all night anyway! Rooms are cramped and the bathroom has its own unique fragrance. We booked for 3 nights but left after the first night and ate the other 2. A couple in another room did the same thing. This is probably the only way they are still open by re- renting the same room.Anywhere else is a better option. Unfortunately Trip Advisor doesn’t allow no stars.

Sorry for your disappointment while you were staying with us. Normally, the window between restroom and bed room can be closed. If you do not know how, should have asked our staffs for assistance. The male urinal might got leak and our maintenance staff can fix it if you could have told our staffs as well. We did charge you for the lost key card and the saucer. We do sorry for that, but it’s our policy. Hope you did not write this reviews in order to revenge us on what you were charged on those lost. Sincerely yours,

Great hotel with friendly staff. We were earlier and were allowed to refresh this was really nice. Nice swimming pool. In a good location, half an hour walk and you were in the area where everything is to do. Definitely recommended this hotel.
Tip at the restaurant they sold in candy jars joints so people were smoking this in the room and this smelled by the pool. There is a sign not smoking only if you sell it is of course contradictory.

All rooms have a balcony, but in a few rooms have no private balcony since the balcony is on the corridor (walk way). However, most of our rooms have a private balcony in each room.
If you arrange Hotel pick up, usually its around 250 baht. Airport have a 40 baht mini bus service but you have to wait until there are 10 person to take the same service, if not, you can pay 300 baht for a mini bus to yourself.
My experience, is to buy a local sim card and use Grabtaxi service. Its by the meter + 30 baht service charge. This is by far the cheapest.
Dear Ms.,
From our hotel you can walk to Sunday walking street market about 5 minutes walk (The distance around 80-100 meter). Hope you will enjoy both the Hotel and the Market.
Sincerely yours,
