We stayed at Huan Ping Phu for 3 nights and really enjoyed staying there. The house and garden have a great atmosphere: dark teak walls and antique furniture with a beautiful and small front garden. Our room was upstairs and right at the front. It was huge, quiet, and clean. It's located down a quiet soi with a ruined chedi... More

We stayed here twice! I love the atmosphere of this place. The rooms make you feel at home and outside there is a yoga/mediation/chill area. They give you water every day and fresh towels which is so nice. The beds are comfortable too. The location is just a 5-10 minute walk from old city restaurants and shopping. Just 30 second... More

Nice room in great location, shame it had no window. Clean towels daily. Toaster and kettle to use. Great location to walk to old town with a couple of cafes very close. One member of staff spoke virtually no English (not a criticism but meant we couldn't ask much) but all were friendly.

I stayed here 4 nights and enjoyed it very much. Coco and his team are really kind and helpful but leave you enjoy the place and CM if you prefer privacy. There rooms are a bit dark as the shutters are also the windows, as there's AC you need to close the shutters which means it's dark. So glass windows... More

We were lucky enough to find this little abode tucked away down a lovely soi in Chiang Mai. When we first saw this place we thought it would be way above our budget but we were pleasantly surprised! Its a lovely teak wooden Thai house with great spacious clean rooms, good bathroom and shower. Seriously great value for money with... More

We originally booked to stay here for only 4 nights but ended up staying 10, as we absolutely loved the place. Clean rooms, great shower, fair price, lovely atmosphere, gorgeous rooms, comfortable beds, fantastic location to Chiang Mai city centre but down a side street so no noise, the perfect distance from town, food near to you, corner shop just... Very nice and chilled out place. Stayed here on two separate occasions and would stay a third. It's close to everything but down a side street which makes it quiet and secluded from traffic. Great showers and super-cool ac made the rooms a great refuge from the heat.

We recently spent 10 nights at Huan Ping Phu in Chiang Mai. We had a good experience. There were a few negatives but overall, we were happy with our stay. The positives: great location - right outside the old city walls but set aside down a quiet street. They did not offer food, but within 10 steps there are 4... More

We stayed at Huanpingphu for 5+ days in November. The house is small and tastefully remodeled. Location wise, it's really close to many of the well-known backpacker spots in Chiang Mai, but it is tucked away on a smaller street so the noise levels outside stay very low. Because it's an old house, the walls and floors are very thin,... More

I'm surprised this guesthouse is not rated higher. The family who operate it are lovely, the rooms are big and clean, the location is quiet. There is instant tea and coffee available and the use of a small kitchen if you want to cook something yourself. We stayed a week and paid only 500bht a night. The wifi is fast... More
