We thoroughly enjoyed our 5 night stay here. We arrived and was warmly greeted by 3 lovely staff members and made to feel welcome. We arrived before check in time but room was ready so we were taken straight away. (We had poolside view room) The room is a great size with a fridge, safe and aircon. The only thing that it does lack is storage space, there is a small wadrobe with 3 drawers but not enough room for 2 of us. It's not a major issue as we are only here for 5 nights. Location of hotel is good and you can walk into the old city which is about 15-20mins, you can also walk to anusarn market and night bazaar too in 10 minutes. There is a big walking street market every sunday which is good to go and look around but be prepared to walk for miles! If you come out of hotel and turn right there is a launderette where you can get 1kg of washing done for 40BHT. The lady at breakfast is super friendly and asks about your day etc. Food is great, there is a menu in which you can choose 1 out of the 4 cooked breakfasts and which includes two traditional thai dishes, pancakes or an American breakfast. There is also a buffet which includes cereal, toast, fruit, yogurt, salad and 3 different cooked dishes which they alternate each day. I would highly recommend booking excursions through the hotel as this was simple to do. The hotel contact the company and arrange the trip aswell ss transportation. We booked 3 different trips via the hotel and had no problems at all. They were all quick and easy. The first trip we booked was to the mae ping river cruise which we wanted to visit that day, the lady called and they said they can pick us up within 10 minutes and take us, the service was fantastic. We booked a taxi for the airport half an hour before we left hotel and it was quick infact it arrived early and was really reasonable. Staff are very friendly, helpful and efficient. …

Would definitely recommend Thee Chang Thai hotel, room was large , clean and had air con and coffee making facilities. Breakfast was fab, wonderful choice and lovely staff both in the breakfast room and front desk! Very friendly and helpful. Everything was immaculately clean. Easy walk to historic old town and lots around. We had a great holiday and would definitely return
If you are only staying in the hotel for one or two days, I think it might be tolerable, despite there being many other options. Normally, I try to be balanced in my reviews. Honestly, there is very little positive I can say about Thee. It is all the little negatives that have put me off of this hotel. First the positives: Nice looking hotel, clean, modern, great soft bed, and staff was sufficient in their tasks. Sadly, I say this about most of the hotels I review. Now for the negatives. It is January and the temps in the morns and eves are quite cool. It is difficult to take a shower with a screened window when the water temp is luke warm, on the cool side. I can understand in the summer heat, but not when the temps are this cool. For those staying for a long period of time, there is very little storage for clothing and other things. There is not even a luggage rack to live out of your suitcase. Seating is limited to the bed or a small vanity stool in the rooms. If you like working on a computer or playing on a phone, bring a very long charging cord as there is not electric plug near the very small vanity desk. The plugs near the bed are too far for a standard charging cord as well. Walk across the street to have them do your laundry. For the cost of three socks, they can do a kilo of clothes for you. The breakfast was ok, but nothing special. The pool seldom gets any sun. The bar seating is silly and inappropriate. Believe me, I am not a disgruntled guest, despite my comments. It is a lovely looking hotel and I am sure many people will find it charming for short stays. I just think that the management/owner should look at making it more livable than just nice looking. I highly suggest looking elsewhere. There are plenty of places to choose from.…
Don't let the neighborhood location put you off. This budget hotel is a wee hidden gem. We stayed at Thee Chang Thai for 6 nights - In a 4th floor .Delux Room with Breakfast Our room was serviced daily and kept beautifully clean. The mattress and pillows were very comfortable and the linen pristine clean. The breakfast had a good selection to choose from. Breakfast was served buffet style The breakfast attendant gives you eggs/ham or pancakes as an option for your hot breakfast, he then places the order for you in the kitchen and brings it out to you at the table The hotel staff were professionally helpful and friendly with a ready greeting and smile at all times Thee Chang Thai Hotel has a small swimming pool but is rather over shadowed by the walls and buildings. The hotel is located quite centrally in easy walk to alot of shops and night markets…
